    5. You'll have to get the red wellies out again . . . to match the strawberries and start singing, "Raindrops keep falling on my head!" Remember it? :)

    7. Yes I didn't get to comment about all that rain you had both at home and at the auction and I guess in between.
Has it stopped raining now you have your lake back?

    8. The lake has soaked into the ground. I had to put my wellies away. :)

  6. As if your yard could get any "greener".....you will have a rain forest. Rain is beautiful out a window...Love the bottles in one corner and the flower in the other...nice composition..lovely to the eye. Don's mother's milk glass had been packed with Bob's things for the six years we lived here and I never opened until today. Oh my, washed it all in a sink of suds and she had some beautiful pieces. I put them in the empty swivel hutch and they look outstanding. Guess I'll keep those....there is only one or two antique milk glass, but they are all very pretty.

    1. How fun to find the milk glass! It's quite popular these days with all the neutral decor. I bet it does look lovely in the swivel hutch! How fun....like a whole new collection for your new place!

    1. Well, be safe! We didn't have any lightning or tornadoes with it, but I have never seen a down pour that hard that lasted for hours. It was deafening! I has hoping I had closed all the windows before leaving home. ha.

  9. We're having a wetter-than-normal spring. For the past two weeks there's been a chance of rain every day, and several afternoons we got a pop-up shower. Today, though, we got two downpours-one in the morning and one in the evening. SHEESH! It's been hard to keep on top of the grass cutting

  11. Our backyard floods like that, too. Hopefully you'll dry out soon.

We just saw Frozen on dvd last weekend though Kai saw it in the theater before. You should watch it with your boys sometime... I think you'll enjoy it, too. Ha, cute image to think of them enjoying the songs together.

    1. We were just talking last night how we've tried movies at home and the boys won't have anything to do with them! Having movie time at their day program is great because they don't have a choice but to sit through it...and it usually ends up that they enjoy them! I've noticed them looking up songs, too...probably from exercise time. I love that they can come home and find them online on their own. And they always seem to enjoy the Disney songs. I think I'll have to buy Frozen now that they have accepted it. ha.

    2. Taylor and Lauren were over last night and Taylor declared Garden Girl as creepy. haha. I told him that she would be his some day! Poor things...inheriting all my 'old' stuff and it's not even their taste. Well, they can have an amazing auction, I guess! lol....

  14. I was hoping your cats took to higher ground, or maybe they all found their way inside.
It poured here on Monday night, buckets and buckets, right after I watered the garden.

    1. I thought about them during the day. Sometimes, they stay put where they are, even if they are getting soaked. They don't seem to run through a down pour to get out of it. But if the rain comes slowly and it starts to sprinkle, they will gather on the back porch or some inside.

You sound like the mister. He watered a new patch of grass seed in our back yard (rather large) the other night and forgot the hose was running. It got soaked for 90 minutes. Then it started to rain. haha. I told him it probably didn't need watering for a few days now. lol...

  16. I hope that it is drier for you today. We have had so much grey and rain lately, it is annoying! The sun is shining today and it makes everything seem so much happier doesn't it. Just don't float away!! xx

  17. Oh time for umbrellas raincoats and rain boots to play in the rain.
How I loved doing that as a child.
There is something so purifying about the rain as it falls upon your cheeks.
Then you grow up and think ugh. ....it's raining. lol
