Ha Brian you are funny today:) I had a lot of things today. I cook to the lunch fry fish with mashed potatoes and I dont have idea what I will make to lunch!
Betsy I would love some hot chocolate. Is really cold here.
Well I hate the heat... but it's absolutely perfect weather these last few days. Sunny, 20C (70F), a slight breeze and no humidity! Now... if it would only stay like that! Although I am having a wee problem with allergies - not earth-shattering ones though :-)
I've had to get sneaky and sit there, camera in hand and wait for his arrival. He grabs a seed and flies over to another tree to eat it! I think he's teasing me!
Great pictures, Betsy! I noticed on your side bar that you're fighting a sore throat- I just finished off a week of misery from that. I really hope you're able to end up the conqueror!
Beautiful...I wish California had such lovely birds. Wonder if I will see any new birds from the balcony. We cannot hang any feeders of any kind on the balcony or wind chimes...CC&R's....but I can live with it. Guess I have too. HaHa.
But loved all the photos and the detail is incredible. The last one shows him in rock climbing mode, defying gravity with a tenuous footholds. Thank goodness he can fly! . . . . . lol
Dear Betsy, it's my everyday joy to look at your marvellous pictures! Thank you so much! The nuthatch you captured so very brilliantly in so typical situations...And everybody who has ever tried to take pictures of birds, can appreciate how very well you have done with the focus here! And I loved Slate on the roof. His highly concentrated and dedicated face is so much fun. And so on, I could praise all of your pics! I also like the variety of your topics! Hopefully you will enjoy your Sunday; Betsy, and I am sure, something nice will come out of it for your audience, too...
I know just what you mean about 'focus'....some birds, I think, tend to tease us with their beauty and are laughing as they flit off just as the shutter button is released.
Sweet sweet photos. Love the dappled sunlight/shadows too.
Thanks for linking up this weekend at the Bird D'Pot. Always appreciated.
I'm lucky enough to have him living close....in the neighbor's tree very close to my yard. I wonder if there's nest of babies! A whole family coming over for dinner would be SO fun!
Firstly loooooveeeee your header moon..and the other day I was trying to get a click of this bird but was not able to get even one..I understand how difficult it would have been for you to get the pictures..beautiful pictures..
