It's my favorite kind of cooking...
Look in the refrigerator and see what needs using up!
Monday night I put a spaghetti squash in the microwave.
While that cooked, I grilled a pork tenderloin
and threw zucchini, onion, mushrooms and garlic
in a skillet with olive oil.
Then everything came together and was sprinkled
with shredded Parmesan, salt and pepper.
The Mister said to remember how I made it, because
he wants it again! And I do, too!
♥
Ooooh, Yes please! Looks so tasty!
ReplyDeleteIt sure was...I think we'll be having it again soon!
DeleteI have never had spaghetti squash - but I want to try it. I hear it's delish.
ReplyDeleteI've never made it with spaghetti sauce on it like a lot of people do. That doesn't appeal to me.
DeleteI just serve it like a vegetable. It's really yummy with butter and parmasean on it!
I like almost anything with parmesan cheese!
ReplyDeleteme, too...
DeleteAnd pork, too, I should add!
Deleteit sounds amazing!!!!!
ReplyDeleteIt was delish and very fast to make!
DeleteOh, yummy!
ReplyDeleteNext time I'm coming over for dinner.
:0)
Well now, that would be fun! :)
DeleteSinfully delicious!
ReplyDeleteBeats baked beans on toast any day of the week.
Well, since I've never had beans on toast, I can't really say! haha.
DeleteMaybe it would be my favorite and I just don't know it! :)
I doubt very much whether they will be your favourite ROFL
DeleteI think you should stick with your menus LOL :)
I know it tasted wonderful, but it looks like something in a cook book. What a nice combination...and the refrig cleaned out. Double good! I'm happy to be back in my kitchen.
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to use up all the little things in the frig! I feel so frugal! ha. :)
DeleteSounds delicious Betsy:)
ReplyDeleteIt was wonderful! What shall I call this recipe? It needs a name!
DeleteMaybe Veggie and pork spaguetti with parmesan cheese. I love cheese too.
DeleteAnd love the zucchini in it:)
yes, I like that name! :)
DeleteYummy! And healthy too!
ReplyDeleteIt really was healthy....lean meat and lots of veggies!
DeleteGood luck recreating the recipe :-) It might be close next time, but will never be EXACTLY the same.
ReplyDeletehmm...I don't know! I remember all the ingredients and their amounts! I'll give it a try, anyway....
DeleteYou obviously do a better job of documenting when you make up recipes than I do--I start adding a pinch of this and a dash of that but don't bother to write it down.
DeleteWell, there weren't a lot of pinches or lots of ingredients in this one, so I didn't write anything down. The only thing not seen in the photo is garlic, salt and pepper. If it had been a taste/add, taste/add kind of dish, that would be harder! haha.
Deleteoh! it really looks so tasty..
ReplyDeleteIt was very yummy. Might have to buy those ingredients soon! ha.
DeleteMmmmm Mmmmm Mmmmm good!
ReplyDeleteYou are a helluva cook Betsy!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
well, it takes one to know one, dear. :)
Deletenice...way to get creative...we have come up with some pretty good stuff doing that...the bad part is you cant replicate it because you may never have the same leftovers again...ha
ReplyDeleteI'm still going to try....at least with this one!
DeleteUse up what needs to be
ReplyDeleteAnd never know what could come at your sea
Something good or grand
Easy peasy in your land
At least you didn't choke and gag
Deletewhen I showed what food I had!
Or if you did,
your feelings you hid.
Geesh, being polite?
That must be some plight.
Are you feeling ok?
No insults at my bay?
Maybe you'd like a plate.
I bet you'd think it first rate.
Might even asks for seconds
as your taste buds beckon.
lol.....
It is great when you make something from what you have to hand isn't it. Yesterday I made all from the freezer chilli - meat, vegetables, chilli and garlic and then add a tin of beans and box of tomatoes and voila! Glad that your husband liked it so much that he wants it again! xx
ReplyDeleteI kind of like the challenge! ha. And it really makes you realize how often we run to the grocery when we have food at home already! Your chili sounds yummy!
DeleteYour new camera is making your delicious food look even MORE delicious and now I am hungry. I wish you lived closer, but the line to the kitchen would be really long!
ReplyDeletehaha...leftovers probably wouldn't do it then, but that would be ok. I do love to cook!
DeleteYum! Those are the best meals.
ReplyDeleteAren't they? Lots of fun, I think..being creative like that.
