Morning Light

golden crab apple tree

I loved the way the morning sunshine was brightening
up these blooms!  There's been a warm breeze blowing all day
and the petals are floating down to the ground, almost like snow.
Lovely!

  3. Beautiful flowering crab apple. A sure sign of Spring!
I saw a great motto toay which might interest you:

    "Go confidently
    in the direction
    of your dreams!

    Live the life
    You imagined"
    - Thoreu

I don't know about you but Spring always somehow makes this easier to achieve :)

    1. Well, that is a very interesting quote.
What do you do if reality gets in the
      way of your dreams? haha,

I beat you to the spring cleaning on the blog!
How do you like my grey background?
The dogwood is blooming, so she got to be
featured in the header for a while.

    2. Well we had better ask Mr Thoreu. I suppose he means try to make our dreams come true which is a hard thing to do, sometimes impossible but ocassionally it happens!

Yes, like your Spring Clean and the grey background and of course the dogwood.
I have a photo of my purple magnolia which I actually remembered to photograph this year which makes a change.

My blog requires a mojor overhaul rather than a Spring Clean. I have rewritten my profile twice, saved it but each time it went into cyberspace. Nex, I want to get a new design and tpo widen the page - not sure how to do that yet.

    3. I noticed your magnolia and it's beautiful! I'm not sure we have purple ones here...just pink and white!

I know how to widen your page, so when you're ready I can help you with that!

    4. Thanks Betsy - that would be great to widen my page, even Keith could read it then! You are blessed with a great cerebellum filled with Oestrogen and lots of connections to your brain halves!! to allow you to multi-task very efficiently! I am lumbered with a load of Testosterone!! so I can do only one thing at a time! ROFL

    5. I don't think widening your page enlarges the font, but I'll let Keith give you a critique. ha.

    6. Thanks for you help Betsy with my blog widening and the header picture. Picmonkey is a fabulous tool.
I need to think about how to highlight my message in the header photo or whether there is another way of showing it.
Yes you are right about the font size remaining the same.
I am pleased because I can now post X-Large photos - they actually fit onto the page. :)

    7. I think you need to change the color of your message so it's readable. You could do it fresh in picmonkey using the original photo.
Yes, I like the larger photos! I go into the html and make them even bigger!

    1. Aren't they? They really only last a day or two after their peak and then they start falling. Thankfully we didn't have a storm to blow them off any earlier!

    2. I can handle snow up until mid-April that's normal, but once we hit May I'd like to turn the furnace off and let it rest until at least October.

    3. Yes, I do agree! We slept with the window cracked open a little last night! But the flannels are still on the bed!

    2. I think another couple of days and the blooms will give way to the leaves. Then it will be boring until they turn fall colors! haha.

    3. Tsk tsk.....don't talk like that!
Get those fancy toes out in your flip flops.....right Eddie?

      Enjoy your weekend

    7. Yes Betsy, exchange those passiona killer red wellies for flip flops like Linda's ROFL

    10. Well, sure...but aren't we all still waiting to see what flip flops are called in Chile? ha.

    11. Don't change the subject!!! LOL

Of course a secondary consideration is to see what flip flops are called in Chile but at this precise moment Gloria is busy using her loaf in the kitchen making bread!
I wonder whether she will be inquisitive and return here and see our question LOL
Yep she will because all women are inquisitive and always return, even Linda and Suza. LOL

    14. Laughing. Eddie, really? All women are inquisitive? You return the most of anyone! :-)

I have found a few translations which Gloria can clear up. Chancletas... ojotos... pantuflas... chanclas... lots of choice!

    15. I thought that would make you bite, Suza!! ROFL
I just love to see what you all say but Gloria and Linda are busy right now. Londa is sunning herself at the cottage in yet another pair of flip flops and Gloria is serving home made bread at her place. I expect Betsy is dining or doing the washing up.

I wonder what your comment you rejected said LOL
      It follows mine!

Looking forward to what Gloria says about your suggestions. xo

  15. Hi Betsy, back from 14 wonderful days in Provençe. I just admired, what you achieved in the meantime. This dish looks so delicious, no wonder, the Mister liked it. And your new header is so gorgeous! And so is this picture of today. The sublime, graceful quintessence of spring...I also liked the picture of your smiling boys so much! Their faces look so untroubled and happy. I have to repeat time after time: you do a great job!
