Ah well, there you go. Good old Richard of York hey!! xx
OK, Aussie/American/English girl. You lost me on that one!
Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain. ROYGBIV!! xx
I have never heard that! We just say it like it's a man's name. Roy G. Biv.
What a fabulous idea Betsy.Slight variation to that:I know it from the mnemonic asRichard Of York Gave Blood In Vainbut Amy's is the correct one.But interested in your's too Betsy.Guess they all work OK.Pity we can't find Blue, Indigo and Violet veggies to complete it!! LOLI suppose Beetroot might be OK to as pointand the rotten orange which needs throwing out and still residing in my bowl could be a suitable candidate for the bass section! lol
haha...did you make up the one about the blood donator? haha.shame on you for letting the orange go bad! You should have eaten it. You need your energy, you know, for allthose ladies you are having over for tea! haha.
No I didn't make it up! lolSomehow that's what I remember indelibly edged into my cerebral hemosperes from about 1485! lolGlad something stuck there!BUT a good point about the blood donations.Yes I am ashamed that my orange went bad!!You are awful about my 'energy crisis' and I shall be getting quite a reputation soon shan't I?Better not tell you that I had a meal with another one tonight had I Ooops! That's let the cat out of the bag! LOLThey do tend to look after me for some reason. Wonder whay?
or even etched
from 1485, it might have become edgy by now. haha.another? My stars! haha. Actually, I'm happy to see you getting out and enjoying yourself. And what's not to like? I'm sure they are finding the charm simply irresistible!Just please tell me you haven't taken any tips from that video! haha.
I think it's the typo white correction fluid that does the trick! . . . . . It's a real killer!!Plus of course the safety pins! LOL . . . . . . . and of course the wig!!I think we should post that video, don't you think so anyone watching can understand what on earth we are rabbiting on about.Which of us do you think should do it?Thinking . . . .
You should! It would be a riot! :)
OK I'll say a girl from Ohio is plaguing the life out of me to contact a dating agency so I can find a new love of my life, but she insists that I have a serious Makeover first and has sent me a videowith a few pointers as to what I should do. Plus another lady insists I have a rinse with spiked up hair. And you can send all your readers over to see the transformation. I wonder who will arrive first. Let's see. Linda, then Amy (the quiet ones), Gloria and Suza (the inquisitive ones), Silver Fox (with or without his mask or perhaps travelling incognito as Vince), Gloria (a second visit because she just cannot keep away), next Gloria, then Suza again, then Brian to see if Eddie has adopted his Tomahawk hairdo), then Gloria again, then Betsy to keep things in order. How about that?
Side splitting pain here from laughter! ha! That's all perfect except it really sounds more like friend from New Orleans would do! haha.Oh my gosh. How funny! Yes, you must do it
OK Better sleep on it - I get all my best creative writing ideas when I am asleep!
sweet dreams! Laughing at how well you know the commenters here!...even the ones that make extra appearances! :) Too bad Mickey couldn't play the part of the pet in that little video! haha.good night...
I'm lost with B.I.V.!! I got the colours though! LOL! Yay for vegetables! Take carex
They aren't there! haha...but the rest is! But I added a blue heart at the end. Does that count?
I love the colours look fantastic Betsy!
Pretty and yummy, too! :)
Gorgeous, and yummy, we love peppers.
Aw, it's you! ;) Miss you....
haha...def you captured all the colors of the rainbow....love me some peppers...will eat them with just a spot of ranch...or sauteed....mmm....
oh yeah...either way is great!
I love peppers...all colours...all sizes....all shapes...What did you make with them?Cheers!Linda:o)
We ate them just like that...with a little veggie dip.
Wanda is making me want kabobs, though!
Pepper sticks are the best! I eat them by the handful(Did you know there's such a thing as a purple pepper? That would have completed your rainbow...)
No! I'll have to look for that!
What do they say about "great minds"...I just finished slicing red, green orange and yellow bell peppers for our chicken kabobs tonight!! PS I had to add some white onion slices too. That's also very colorful and healthy snacking!!!
No kidding! Kabobs sure sound good...I'll have to put those on the menu some time soon! I say the white onion was a cloud to go with the rainbow!
I did them on the BBQ....first time this year I've fired her up. Also roasted Don a corn on the cob!! It was a good dinner.
All of the colors for health!
they were really sweet, too!
ahh! don't you think there is a touch of science in every aspect of our life..beautiful colours of health Betsy..
I've always heard to have a healthy meal, make sure it's colorful! haha.
You made me think what the heck the last three wereGeez had to go and ruffle my furThen there is nothing thereBlue hearts don't count at your lair lolSo just go with the first fourThen its a Big in Virginia tour
Sorry, there were blue, indigo and violet peppers! hahaha.Big in Virginia? Are you talking about Brian? lol.wow...this didn't rhyme!what a crime!
haha well your twin gets mixed inSee that is a win winBut no rhymeYep a crime
Beautiful, bright colours. We never learned a mnemonic for the colour wheel - just memorised it. I have a game on my cellphone called Blendoku which entails distinguishing and arranging colours. There are various levels and boy, it gets hard to do! I mastered simple but medium is tricky and I can't imagine the few levels that are above that. It's challenging.
So far I've resisted any games on my phone. haha. but that one sounds really fun!
Hi Betsy .. coloured veg are the best - I love them .. and thanks for the reminder re the science ... cheers Hilary
it's just more fun to eat pretty food! :)
I remember ROYGBIV from 8th grade IP Science!Fresh bell peppers sure are pretty. And yummy too.
Yes, they are. And I've been trying to reach for those instead of jelly beans,...which are pretty and yummy, too. lol....
Funny, my dad was just talking about Roy G Biv on their last visit. He and mom discussed that indigo and violet are color words that are not used much anymore, Your peppers look delicious and make me want fajitas
Mmmmm....I've gotten two great ideas for dinner soon on this post...fajitas and kabobs! yum!
I'm serving coffee! Stay and chat! And no awards, please! Your comments are my awards!
