- Little hints of spring. Look at the grass turning green! It was in the 50's (F) today and for about an hour I turned off the heat and opened the front and back doors and had a pleasant breeze go through the house. (Checked another thing off my list!)
- Puttering in the kitchen.
- Grilled mushroom, onion and havarti burgers. Oh my.
- Roof top surveillance duty. He sure takes that job seriously! He always looks at me sitting at my desk as if to say, "It's all clear!"
- Ready for the oven. Clean-Out-The Frig Muffins. They conveniently used up the buttermilk, one ripe banana, a cup of currants, and the last cup of Special K cereal. Yum. Recipe here.
- It wasn't a duck, but it'll do. :)
- Swinging in the breeze!

Gee, you beat them all good. Could have left a few more! Must be dinner time...have a burger while you gloat. haha.
ReplyDeleteSpring!!! Ahhh!!! SO glad its here!
ReplyDeleteThe burger looks/sounds wonderful! We had grilled burgers tonight but that one looks better :)
You know what? I'm not glad today! Allergies...itchy eyes...runny nose. Must be mold since there isn't anything blooming. Trying a new allergy med today. I guess I need blooming trees to make it worth while!
DeleteI don't ever think I've had a bad burger...lol....yum.
I think Spruce tree pollen is out the middle of April, daffodils are out, hyacinths.
Deletewho is this?
DeleteOh sorry Betsy! I'm not troubled with those but some of the children have them in mild to moderate form and they don't always enjoy it either. Hopefully it will be better soon!
DeleteI suppose people would yell if I wished for snow? lol....
Deletebeautiful moments captured today, feel better soon Betsy,
ReplyDeleteOh, compared to you, I'm wonderful! haha... Get your voice back yet?
DeleteI love these cat's faces! and your yummy food!!!
ReplyDeleteFood is always fun to photograph, right?
Deletewell love food, but I love cats and boys too:)
DeleteYou are with your new camera?
Just took some pictures of Nugget. He's often neglected when it comes to my photography! He doesn't like the camera, though and after a few snaps, he snorts at me. lol....
Deleteand hope you feel better soon, I remember you are allergic!
ReplyDeleteand love this burger! Im hungry!
Yeah..very allergic to mold! As soon as the ground thaws, my eyes itch.
Deleteand you take something for it Betsy?
DeleteEddie will tease me because I come back, yes I read yesterday lol
DeleteBut always I try to come back because I know you answer me:))
Yes, I always take a 24 hour allergy medicine. I bought a new one to try today. And I have a prescription eye drop, too!
DeleteI want it to snow! haha.
Yes, Eddie will tease you! lol...
Well hope you feel better Betsy!
DeleteYes Eddie is here!
DeleteHave no fear!
You both wait there
Until I appear!!
Hello Gloria!!
We just cannot keep meeting like this!
People will start to talk!! LOL
We're already talking! lol...
DeleteOh dear, Gloeia we must be a little more secretive!! lol
DeleteGloria, where are you?
DeleteShe's timid, you know. :)
DeleteBut she does sometimes pluck up courage like in her earlier remark
Deletewhich is a red rag to a bull isn't it? ROFL
Yes, and I think she knew that. ha. Gloria, where are you? :)
DeleteGloria, darlng!
DeleteAre you there, somewhere?
LOL
Hi Betsy
ReplyDeleteStaggering detail on that camera - it definitely is coming into its own!
And your garden is so beautiful and large.
It looks much more inviting now the weather is improving.
But do I see you have an allergy?
btw The deed is done and I have posted about the makeover ROFL
Yes, it is coming along! yay! :)
DeleteI have year round allergies but they get worse in the spring and then the fall.
Hopefully this new medicine will help!
You posted it? Oh, I will come and have a good laugh. Tomorrow in my post
I'll direct people over to have a look, too! How fun!
Shame about the allergies.
DeleteHad some fun writing that post! lol
Like the wig?
omg...that wig is something else! But the story on bringing it home with you is even better!
DeleteMade it up, Betsy! Even I wouldn't have the guts to do that!
DeleteThose girls laughed and laughed and laughed about me sitting on the wig!!! . They were helpless! ROFL
Great fun.
Did you? haha....well, I wondered how you could ask a woman for her wig without insulting her terribly. Most who wear them don't want anyone to know they aren't real! hahahaha....
DeleteAnd I thought the hammer replaced the chisel! lol...
Some have fun wigs - for a change of identity!
Deleteand then others just wear masks! haha.
DeleteWhich fly off! Did the Mister like the videot?
DeleteHe did....he didn't laugh as hard as we did, but he's reserved like that. lol....
DeleteI must retire and I'll speak soon
DeleteMust take off the wig
For the post it was a boon
Helping Sue in morning to dig!
alright...sweet dreams!
DeleteOh drat - I see another anonymous above!
DeleteThey do love to congregate here! :)
DeleteWhat a special This and That Tuesday. The muffins look great and what a perfect way to use of those leftover things and create something so tasty.
ReplyDeleteThe allergies hit me today with a bang. Took some medicine and took a 3 hour nap. I hardly every get allergies..but when one hits its' bad.. Hot and windy did it. Sorry you're fighting them too.
One of those muffins might cure me.
Oh yeah,..wind will really do it! That kind usually gets me in the fall...the dry plants and ragweed carried on the breeze! ugh!
DeleteGlad yours don't bother you too often!
Always love a good gazebo shot!
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd like that!
DeleteHe always love gazebo!
DeleteYes, both of you, right?
DeleteRight!
DeleteYou and Gloria. How sweet!
DeleteLay off! She's mine ROFL
DeleteAren't you, honey? LOL
You know I love recipes like your muffins - make it do and use it up :)
ReplyDeleteI've been doing things like that a lot lately....veggies with pasta and a little cheese, soup, etc. Yum! The Mister will say, "Remember how you made this so we can have it again!" haha...but I think they are one of a kind dishes.
DeleteOur grass is still brown and soggy dead, but I'm sure one day soon I'll look out the window to find it soft and green. (Okay, so I'm choosing to be optimistic.)
ReplyDeleteWish I could get my fridge cleaned out. Most of the stuff in there can't be turned into muffins though. Too bad.
Hey! I had some sparrows taking a bath in a driveway puddle last wee, and if not for that drain pipe put in a few years ago, we'd definitely have a lake in the back forty.
our grass is green and soggy...still have the pond. haha.
DeleteI cleaned out the frig before going to the grocery. I mean really cleaned it...removed everything, tossed the old stuff and wiped it out.
Looks so much better! haha.
haha doing a little twist and shout
ReplyDeleteHope you don't resemble a trout
On the rooftop they love to be
ReplyDeleteAs from there all they can see
The birds love your back yard lake too
Springs seems to finally becoming due
They do love the roof
Deleteas they do the guarding spoof.
Have to protect their territory
from all rodents furry and gory.
ha.
Wow - your pics are amazing. Love how you can switch the focus on what YOU choose to focus on. Marmalade needs a sheriff's badge.
ReplyDeleteI was at a gals' event last night (which we call Gulp & Gab) and the hostess has two cats: Jones (male, small ginger, very friendly) and Kona (female, large black, shy). They were talking about possibly getting a third and how that might be too many. And then I told them about you! HA!
Love the gazebo. One of my favourite things. I think I could live just in a gazebo or just in a turret... although it might get a little brisk. That delicious burger is making me soooooooooo hungry. Yum! I enjoy all your postings but I think the This And That is my favourite!
Marmy does look like a sheriff! lol...he cracks me up. We had those burgers last week and they were SO good, we had them again 2 days later. haha.
DeleteI love these pictures too! Nice work, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteI'm getting there. Lots of photos don't pass quality control, though. ha.
DeleteThe muffins look so yummy! I really like the muffin pan with the cute heart ❤️ flowers and the green trim. And the pink muffin paper holders add the perfect touch : )
ReplyDeleteBig Lots had all kinds of pretty muffin papers that I picked up on clearance. I saw on Pinterest a suggestion to store them in an old canning jar, which I need to do...so pretty!
DeleteYou sure keep busy with the happy things in life. Your muffins looks great, I'm not a very good baker so I would never come up with ways to use things up. I do make a mean soup with all "getting old" veggies from the fridge! lol!
ReplyDeleteWe hit 54 today...loved it! :)
XO,
Jane
happy things in life...love that. :)
DeleteLove the idea of clean out the fridge muffins! Such a resourceful lady you are! xx
ReplyDeleteFunny how that recipe perfectly used up my odds and ends in the frig!
DeleteEvery time you post home cooking photos my mouth begins to water.
ReplyDeletethat's the idea! Torture! ha.
DeleteLovely this and that!
ReplyDeleteCould have been your "orangey" this and that!
Isn't the weather waaaay nicer?
Enjoy your sunny day.....
Cheers!
Linda :o)
today looks beautiful, too...not a cloud in the sky at the moment!
DeleteShe does nit resemble a trout at all
ReplyDeleteMore like a kipper but 5 ft tall!
ROFL
I'm ducking already! I sense some unwanted auction items will soon be hurled in my direction!
He's talking to Brian, so you really better duck! He can throw heavier things than me! lol.....
ReplyDeleteIsn't it lovely to see the sun at this time of year? We had some today too though it's still chilly, about the same temperature as with you. The buns look good, I'll take one to work tomorrow to have with my coffee...
ReplyDeleteThey would be delicious for breakfast! :)
DeleteI'd love one or two of those grilled mushroom, omion and havarti burgers!!
ReplyDeleteMe, too! Right now! I'm starving and dinner is still 3 hours away!
