I started thinking about these while I was sitting in church this morning.
They sounded SO good and I went through a list in my mind..
Buttermilk? Check. Fresh blueberries? Check.
Brown sugar for homemade syrup? Check.
So the dream became a reality for brunch today.

haha...only when I'm sitting there starving. :)
Deleteor if we're hearing about loaves and fishes. :)
DeleteHey, I'm first again!
ReplyDeleteIs everyone else asleep?
And yes, you are first!
DeleteMy stars! Those look splendid! You do torture me so, posting scrumptious looking food so late at night, I'll have you know! Good think I can't smell those through the screen! (smiling).
ReplyDeleteVince xo
Too bad you all don't like close to me. We could have a pancake party! :)
Deletehaha ! You think about these when you are in the Church?? lol
ReplyDeleteMe too sometimes when I go lol
Look amazing!xxx
I know, I know! haha. I was a little bored. (shh!) ...and hungry.
Deletehappens to me when the priest talk sooo long!!!OMY
Deletehaha...I'm not sure what was wrong with me today...my mind just wanted to wander.
DeleteMost times I pay attention just fine, though. Yes, unless it goes on and on and on. :)
Well the blueberries i can eat
ReplyDeleteWhile I watch them get made all nice and neat haha
yes, you could eat the berries
Deletethe other stuff you'd consider hairy.
ha.
Yumm! I love that your "thinking" in church became a "reality" for lunch. I laugh, as my dearest had the chance to preach this morning since our pastor is out of town. Don's title "THINK".....how are thinking affects our actions. HaHa..You are proof perfect.
ReplyDeletehaha...so true! And all the more reason to think positive thoughts if those thoughts ultimately turn to actions. Wow...that is so true...even with negative thoughts. Now I'm wishing I heard that sermon....haha. :)
DeleteYou're making me want pancakes and I'm not even hungry.
ReplyDeletehaha...they were really good! ;)
DeleteMaybe tomorrow.

Mmmm... good!
DeleteI love making pancakes and waffles and gooey butter coffee cakes on Sunday mornings ... Almost two feet of snow waylaid our departure this morning. We can't depart Redmond (our airport) until Tuesday morning! Kind of bummed to miss two days .. It took four hours to dig ourselves out of the driveway.
ReplyDeleteOh, that's too bad! That sounds like Linda here trying to get to Florida...their trip was delayed a couple of days due to the weather! Craziness!
DeleteLet me see......buttermilk......blueberries......hmmmmmm? What can I make with these?
ReplyDeleteWell.......I could make pancakes.....or.....I could make.....blueberry buttermilk breakfast cake!!!
But......I guess for brunch.....pancakes win out!
I am sure they were scrumptious....and all your men loved them. ♥️
Happy Sunday Betsy....
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Oooh...that would have been good, too...but I didn't have a lemon!
DeleteOf course....a lemon....and such an important part of the recipe! How silly of me....good choice with the pancakes! Hahaha!
DeleteBut you have made me hungry for your yummy cake! I need to buy some lemons this week! yummy!
Deletemmm make mine waffles please....smiles. i rather like mine with a crunch....but i def like my blueberries in them...
ReplyDeleteI love my waffles crispy! yum.
DeleteWow, I have to bookmark this:)
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy!
You won't be disappointed! :)
DeleteI don't usually make sweet pancakes, so I thought I would have a go at this one. My local supermarket doesn't stock buttermilk of blueberries so I'm stumped!
ReplyDeleteSo I bought a double chocolate gateaux and some double full cream to pour over it. Yummy.
The trouble is what I said in the email.
DeleteWell, your improvisation sounds delicious for sure! :)
DeleteOh, these look so good!!!
ReplyDeleteoh, they were...wish I hate another plate full right now! ha.
DeleteOh yum! I'll be right over!
ReplyDeletePlease come! I'll make more coffee!
DeleteAh ha, daydreaming of food in church!!!! The pancakes look great and I bet they tasted even better!!!! xx
ReplyDeleteNext Sunday I better eat breakfast before going! haha.
DeleteYum, I love blueberry pancakes. Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteYou made your dream come true! Fantastic! And yummy too!! Yay! take care

As part of the anti-inflammatory diet I am on to help with the Lyme's stuff, I have been gluten free since Christmas. I might just hang around your blog and drool for awhile. And I saw robins here too, what is with that?
ReplyDeleteAw...poor you! You can eat the blueberries with Pat. :)
DeleteNot sure about the robins....they are very confused!
Ok so now you're getting my mouth watery! lol and I just finished my lunch! There's something about blueberry pancakes or waffles. By the way, I love making brunches for family and friends. I started this "little tradition" last year, and I love to make them buttermilk waffles with or without the blueberries. I also have strawberries and bananas + wip cream for topping, then of course can't forget about the scramble eggs and turkey bacon. This is something great to give back to the people you love in your life. This is my year-round random act of kindness. I'm hoping to do one before the month is over. :)
ReplyDeleteOMG està muy original super delicioso y lindo, saludos.
ReplyDeleteOhhh amo los frutos del bosque, saludos
