Brunch Today.
Toasted panetonne, scrambled eggs
blackberry smoothies, coffee.
And this next photo I took in August 2012.
I'm posting it here for Eddie because we're going to
Too bad I didn't put ham in those scrambled eggs!
Then we would have been all set!
Pig jokes wouldn't have been so random! ha.
Still, it was fun to see a pig fly over our house.
Now, I guess anything is possible! :)
I'm joining up with Monday Mosaics for the first time.
I love the Little Red House blog and thought my
photos might be fun, too!
♥
Happy Sunday, Betsy ... I make a mean bread pudding using Panetonne! Brunch sounds delicious, I fear I'm much to lazy on Sunday mornings to create something this yummy. Waffles for Carl ... maybe, if he begs.
ReplyDeleteYour bread pudding sounds wonderful! I almost made french toast with this one, but it was great just as toast.
DeleteWe haven't had waffles in a long time...I was making them every Sunday there for a while! Now the tradition has turned into omelettes. ha.
That's a dirty look from Smoke. It's as if he's saying "Why did you throw me out into the cold, cold snow? Now let me in. . . .or else I will shred the curtains!"
ReplyDeleteBut he has his winter coat on! haha. He's inside now curled up on a couch sleeping. No curtains have been shredded yet. lol....
DeleteThe Brunch looks wonderful - making me feel hungry even at this hour. I'm just making a honey sandwich to keep me going.
ReplyDeleteGosh - a heavenly flying pig on cloud nine it seems. Nice shot, Betsy - good job it didn't leave a vapour trail.
Pig jokes - well you asked for it.
Against my better judgement and considering all the bullying I got last time about having to send loads of Panda jokes - here are a few pig jokes - umm! sorry in advance:
Q. Name a Famous Pig Playwright who thinks he rivals Shakespeare?
A. Sir Francis Bacon, of course - now pay attention, Betsy!! lol
Of course Sir Francis Bacon, being a complete ignoramus put his foot in in when he asked Shakespeare this question:
Q. Hey Bill, which of your plays has a pig in it?
"Dunno Mate!", said Shakespeare
A. Hamlet of course
Q. Name a medication suitable for poorly pigs
A. Oinkment, of course!
Q. And what would a pig use oinkment for if he had trouble with his eyelid?
A. A sty!
Going back a bit!

DeleteI love panettone and the blackberry smoothies :)
ReplyDeleteLove your pig too:)
I have lots of blackberries in the freezer so the smoothies are easy to make! I love the color of them!

ReplyDeletethat bread looks nice too...

DeleteLove all your photos, Betsy! Brunch looked yummy and that cardinal and kitty light up the snow!
ReplyDeletebrunch was very yummy....it's the only day of the week I made breakfast...so it's always fun, especially on Sunday when the day is more laid back.

DeleteA clumsy pig
DeleteHam Fisted
oh my. lol...
DeleteHey, I've been searching my cerebral hemispheres over your cloud pig and they reply that I've seen it before. I think you posted it last year or the year before. Am I right or am I right? lol
DeleteYes, I did originally post that picture the day I took it back in August, 2012! Good memory, Ed! :)
DeleteGood memory for some things, but not others but there ya go I'm only a man lol.
DeleteHey I have just seen your video again and this time stuck my headphones on. Nice to hear your voice.
Ok....you make brunch....and I'll bring one of my banana/blackberry loaves.....DEAL?
ReplyDeleteyes...goodnight Eddie....you must be pooped!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Oooh...of course it's a deal! yum!
Deleteand...it looks like you had breakfast for dinner....Martha wants you to pick her up....she wants some banana/blackberry loaf too! hahaha!
Deletewell, it was brunch...about 12:30PM. We had pizza for dinner. ha. OK, Martha...I'll swing by on the way up north! You bring pie! :)
DeleteYes Linda, I was a bit - all these Pig and panda jokes take their toll. I wonder what Betsy will be getting me to do next! lol
DeleteWhat a splendid brunch! So you enjoy panettone? It is delicious! Now, if Linda will permit me to bring tea and scones, maybe you'll allow me to join you? Your photos do make it more than a meal. It's an experience. Yes, that's what we'll call it! An experience! Betsy's Brunch. We all want to come!
ReplyDeleteAnd let's allow Eddie Bluelights to bring sausage! (smiling)
Admiring you from afar, milady!
Vince xo
You know, I've never made scones! I need an authentic English recipe! But if you bring them, that will be great! :)
DeleteI'm sure Ed will be more than happy to bring sausage, ham and bacon. ha.
I can also bring some homemade strawberry peach jam for those fancy British scones :o)
DeleteSounds like a feast is forming! ha.
DeleteSaw a recipe around Christmas for eggnog bread pudding using panettone - it looked delicious. Is that trail in the snow from Smoke and Shadow romping? Or are the kangaroos back... :-) Brunch looks yummy - those smoothies are such a pretty colour.
ReplyDeletethat bread pudding sounds really good, too!
DeleteThe trail is from the cats...they cut through the yard and under the fence to the neighbor's yard. I don't know what they find so interesting over there. Maybe it's another bird feeder. ha.
I love your blue and white cup and saucer. Everything looks so delicious.
ReplyDeleteyou just can't go wrong with blue and white, can you? ha. Boy, I've seen some pretty blue and white things on pinterest lately, too...I should start a board for that. ha.
DeleteI love blue and white too - so fresh. I have several different blue willow patterns of china as well as my grandmother's breakfast china which was called Countryside by Wedgewood. Here is a photo of it:
Deletehttp://www.etsy.com/ca/listing/155016280/vintage-enoch-wedgwood-saucers?ref=market
I love how they used to use different sets of china for different meals.
That Countryside pattern is really beautiful! And blue willow is just such a classic favorite. I only have a tiny teapot of that pattern. I'd love to have a full service of it!
DeleteI'm cleaning out my china cabinet tomorrow so who knows what we'll be eating off of tomorrow. haha. I feel like changing some things around....should be interesting. haha.
DeleteAre you cleaning out as in putting some in your Etsy shop? Or just switching things around? Or just cleaning? Hee hee. I have entirely too much china for one person... but I just love it. Used to go to an outdoor market in Aberfoyle that is open every Sunday from April to October (http://aberfoyleantiquemarket.com) and bought beautiful vintage pieces. Have not been in ages. Have a few gorgeous two-handled soup bowls that I am in love with. I am nervous about using them but I guess I should!
DeleteWell, when I clean, things always get switched around. ha. Yesterday I moved my shell collection to the family room shelves. That leaves a million miles of shelves (well, almost) open in the dining room. I feel like changing things up and moving my china cabinet contents to those, along with my tea pot collection (maybe) which isn't even out anywhere right now. Then that leaves an empty china cabinet (quiet small) for something else! Who knows what will happen as the day progresses! haha....it's all fun, though, and everything was due for a good dusting.
DeleteDoes anyone stack quilts and pretty linens in their china cabinet? I just might. I got two pretty quilts at an auction recently, which I could say is the start of a collection. lol....
I've seen some lovely quilts and linens in china cabinets - wonderful way of displaying them I think. I also collect quilts... I think I collect everything! Could open my own shop. lol
DeletePinterest does have a lot of pretty blue and white. I have a board called 'Delft ware, Blue Willow and Currier & Ives'. I've seen some nice blue and white Spode on Pinterest too.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to look at your board! I love Delft, too....gorgeous!
DeleteI would like to live at your house.
ReplyDeletePlease come. I'll cook and you can turn me into a minimalist. ha.
DeleteWhat a yummy brunch. Pictures of food just turn me on....Even though I full, you pictures just make me want some!
ReplyDeleteSpent the day with watching the games and seeing Kaleb before he heads back to college. Myk and Chelenne made wonderful burritos for lunch.
We had the games on here, too! It was a nice, relaxing day.
DeleteBurritos sound good...Mexican is my very favorite!
Lovely brunch Betsy, wish that I could join in the party! Too far away!! xx
ReplyDeleteYou aren't too far away! If Vince and Ed are coming from jolly old England and Linda is coming from Canada, you can, too! It's a cyber event, impromptu and just pretend anyway. lol.....
DeleteBrunch at your place it is! Yay! LOL! Oh wow - my belly's grumbling...! :-) Happy Monday to you Betsy! take care
ReplyDeletex
I just might have to nibble on that panettone this morning! :)
DeleteThey are such wonderful colours in your various photographs. Even though there is snow in the background of so many of them, the colour of the objects - the bird, the cat, the food - seems to glow a kind of warmth. Betsy warmth.
ReplyDeleteaw...you're always so sweet. :) It was a warm kind of day. Warm feelings...freezing outside. ha.
DeleteBrunch looks yummy! The Betsy B&B looks very inviting!
ReplyDeleteAlso wanted to let you know that I enjoyed the video of your snowy backyard that other day. A nice little extra hearing your voice! :)
Well, thanks Yuji! You know, I got to hear your voice the other day on your sledding adventure! :)
DeleteHey...while there is snow....I'm going to gather 8 cups and put it in the freezer so I can make that snow ice cream this week!
ho ho ho much on the go go go
ReplyDeleteI think you were pigged out today
ReplyDeleteAs the pig jokes came on display
Smoke is glaring at you
What did you do

ReplyDeleteIt was supposed to be a beautiful brunch and it turned into a pig fest! lol....

No need to cry it's only a joke!!
lol Do you have those silly knock knock jokes over in the States?
What lovely images and you just made me hungry. I was going for a hot mocha, but I think scrambled eggs will be cooking in a few minutes. Have a great day~
