I made this necklace today.
Oh, and I'd love to keep it, too!
But it's in the shop tonight and maybe some lucky
lady will find it under the Christmas tree!
I brought home a Laguna vintage crystal bead necklace
from the auction this week. It's second strand was broken
and missing. So, I added grey fresh water pearls,
sheer organza ribbon and a 1 carat round CZ solitaire pendant,
set in sterling silver. Sterling holds the new parts together....
Vintage crystal and rhinestones hold the old parts together.
I love the result with the vintage and new together!
A one of a kind creation!
What a pity if I hadn't saved it from the trash!
Sorry for the photo quality.
Blogger is insisting on making my crisp white photos dark blue!
We've fought about it a good hour.
♥
Wow. Just wow.
ReplyDeleteToo bad you couldn't keep them. You'd look stunning wearing them.
DeleteIt. It's just one necklace....double strand. I love it! Hopefully someone else will, too! :)
DeleteBeautiful! It looks very Victorian and I love the pink.
ReplyDeleteI had so much fun putting it together! I'm glad I rescued it!
DeleteI love necklace Betsy and this look beautiful!
ReplyDeletethank you! I thought it was!
DeleteVery good job indeed
ReplyDeleteSure it will sell quick at your feed
I sure hope so!
DeleteOtherwise it will just lay here and glow!
ha.
Just lovely. What a special combination. That won't last long in your store!! Maybe you should just ware it once for Christmas, and then sell it!!
ReplyDeletehaha...that's the nice thing about 'vintage'....you can wear them because technically they are already used! lol....
DeleteI meant 'it,' of course. I must have been distracted. Ha. But my compliment still stands.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Betsy. If no one buys it, I guess that it is yours! xx
ReplyDeleteMaybe..we'll see. :) What are you doing up in the middle of the night? :)
DeleteOh Gosh I have a few like those crystals and I love them.
ReplyDeleteThey were not cheap when I got them.
Wear them in good health Betsy.
Class never goes out of style lol
The vintage ones are quite pricey!
DeleteClass never goes out of style....oh, I love that. :)
it's very pretty. a nice blend of both texture and color...
ReplyDeletevery nice....you can always make yourself another
right?
nope....this is a one of a kind. :) I could make something similar but not exactly like it. For one thing, I don't have another solitaire to put on it! ha.
DeleteYou certainly are a lady of many talents. I have have also been having some problems with Blogger changing the exposure on my photos.
ReplyDeleteYou, too? What's up with that? Drives me crazy!
DeleteLove it Betsy, this is incredible, shame that your quality is changing from this website but I barely noticed it, still beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteThe photos in the etsy shop are so much better...but they are the same uploads! Crazy!
DeleteLovely! Perhaps you'll reconsider and keep it for yourself?
ReplyDeleteTempting, it is! :)
DeleteIt's fit for Her Majesty, the Queen herself! A splendid creation. Your attention to detail is astounding, lovely lady. Now, why didn't you model the piece for us, hmm? Do let us know if you are successful in selling it!
ReplyDeleteVincent. x
haha...well, take a drive over to Buckingham Palace, won't you? Tell the Queen to shop in my etsy store! :)
DeleteExcellent work! I have no doubt it will soon find a home.
