Your wreath is beautiful Betsy! Hope that you are NOT getting an ice storm. I hated those when we used to get them - thankfully they don't come over here in the same way! Stay safe and warm. xx
We had ice during the night. I could hear it hitting the windows! Then it turned to snow and has lightly snowed all day. It isn't supposed to stop until Sunday! The Mr. said the roads were horrible and twice had people in front of him go off in the ditch. But the boys and I stayed in all day and the power hasn't gone out, so we are just fine!
What is that sandwich? What a creation! My taste buds are screaming in pain wanting to take a bite! And your red bird takes the biscuit, per usual. What a lucky man he is, peeping in and smiling at you and seeing you smile back!
The sandwich is made with most everything on the Thanksgiving dinner menu...turkey, dressing, cranberry. I added montery jack cheese and a little mayo. Yum. I think we had these for three meals after the holiday meal. :)
We finished off the last of the Thanksgiving food on Wednesday, except for the pumpkin pie I froze in individual pieces. I had one tonight; it tasted like a pumpkin popsicle.
There were a couple of last-minute cancellations so we only had ten people for dinner. I made two pumpkin pies, someone else baked a sweet potato pie, and there was a pan of brownies too.
you're making me hungry...lol.... We just had one, with apple crisp and a pecan pie. But I confess to eating pie for breakfast so that helped make it go faster.
I think Mr. Red has you wrapped around his little... claw! Lovely photos. You have such wonderful detail in your shots. I am now hungry for soup and a sandwich and must go foraging in my fridge. Or... dialling on my phone! Ha!
on the croissant?....turkey, dressing, cranberries. The cats love the snow....they really had a ball chasing snowflakes today. ice? ugh....it kept me awake last night hitting the skylight and windows!
Hi Betsy .. love the mix and match .. I always love seeing the cardinals - but all of them .. and the croissant - looks a really tasty treat. Cheers Hilary
Oh, thanks! I actually think it's the perfect location right outside my window with that tree and the way the daylight hits it. So fun to watch and try to get the good photos. :)
Oh they are all wonderful, but the one that caught my eye, and I went back to several times, was the cat in the snow by the birdbath. That foot up, ready to take the next step...priceless picture.
The snow is deeper today and the cats sure are having fun in it! Cloudless blue sky and bright sun make it seem warmer than the 14 degrees it really is! Brr!
Love all these photos...especially the black cat in the snow and your wreath. Did you make it? Your Thanksgiving leftover croissant looks so yummy and the soup does, too. BTW...Old Navy still had the bird sweater. I also found a blue V-neck t-shirt with a bluebird on it on clearance for $3.97! I went back today to send you the item number and it was gone : ( Stay warm and safe from the snow. Ours is forcast to start tomorrow.
I got the wreath at Lowe's and added the red glass birds....the rest came with it. It's lighted, too, but I need to buy an extension cord! Oh...great deals at Old Navy! That t-shirt was an especially good deal... I shop their clearance a lot..especially for the boys!
Your photos are always so great and your wreath has inspired me to go home and get started on hanging up Christmas. Thanks for sharing such great posts.
Well, thanks, Larry! Yep, I'd say it's time to get in the Christmas spirit. I'm finishing up my decorating today! Thanks for stopping by...it's been a while! I need to come and see what you've been up to!

How are your mitten sales doing? I am recycling old sweaters too. I'm turning them into hats for wooden snowmen.
ReplyDeleteNot bad! And those that have received them have said they really liked them and thought they were so cute.
