It was slushy and white and I enjoyed sitting at my desk this morning
in my jammies and watched the flakes float to the ground as I drank my
coffee! It only lasted about an hour, though, and was washed away
when the snow turned to rain.
I love snow, but I'm not quite ready!
I haven't seen all the leaves turn color yet!
Thanks for all of your prayers for Alex!
He has been fine the last two afternoons.
He's had a good ride home and is
unfastening his own seat belt.
I've gotten a thumbs up from the aide both times
and haven't had to leave the front porch! Yay! :)
♥
Love that gazebo shot!
ReplyDelete#1!
DeleteHey, I think Cat was going for three in a row! haha...you broke her streak! :)
DeleteDavid love ALL gazebos! Me too

Oh, does he? I didn't know that. So, you both love them! :)
DeleteYep, I love gazebos!
DeleteYes he always say! That's your neighbor's gazebos I remember other shot!
DeleteBeautiful white flakes! They say we may get flurries tonight.
ReplyDeleteHey, Silver, you broke my streak of being #1 : )
ha..I just said that! lol.... should I say jinx? :)
DeleteOops! Sorry!
DeleteBetsy, I didn't see your comment up before I posted. We must have posted at about the same time : )
DeleteSilver, that's ok : )
Oh no...your comment was five minutes before mine! I just hadn't refreshed the page before I wrote that! great minds... ;)
DeleteOh those are wonderful shots. I'm going to fly up to Oregon early November to see Tristan and love on him. Maybe Jill will have a dusting of snow I can enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet there is a good chance Oregon will have snow in November. Hope it's cold enough so you can enjoy some!
DeleteBeautiful, Betsy. The dusting on the top of that gazebo and the action of the falling snow flakes maks for a lovely scene. Did you know that English architects gave the gazebo it's name? A bit of British trivia for you. Cheer, lovely lady.
ReplyDeleteNo, I didn't know that! :)
DeleteAnd here he is, I think he knows a lot of things and read so much!
DeleteWe teassing so much ey you can say milady is Betsy like:)
and she is lovely of course:)
They say the word comes from a mix of the Latin suffix meaning "I shall" which is "bo"and the English word "gaze" thus you end up with Gazebo: I shall gaze. But I don't think anyone really knows the truth of it. Great idea though, to have a fancy shed just for sitting and thinking and looking.
DeleteThank goodness we don't have snow yet. It's a sunny 55 degrees today (13 degrees in English money).
Glad to hear Alex has done well. We had some snow here too, but not enough to stick on the ground.
ReplyDeleteI was so happy to see him come off the bus the last two afternoons! ;)
DeleteA little tease of snow. haha...but I hear we're supposed to have a bitterly cold and snowy winter!
You're right; it's TOO early for snow!
ReplyDeleteIt will be welcome in December but not before. ha.
DeleteYuck, yuck yuck
ReplyDeleteSnow does suck
Keep it there
Don't want any at my lair
Whatever weather is here
Deleteyou can be sure it will be there.
Just give it a couple of days
and you'll see the same ol haze! :)
Yuck
DeleteI need to win more than a buck
Avoid the storm
And move some place warm
no snow this morning, only sleet.
DeleteI bet you'll think that's mighty neat!
lol.
It is awfully early for snow... hope it's not a sign of a really long winter.
ReplyDeleteSo glad that Alex had another good afternoon on the bus. Yay!
We've been below freezing the last few mornings, so all we needed was the precipitation! And yes, it's supposed to be a long winter! I wonder if that means it will start early, too, like spring did? hmmm....
Deleteyes, Yay for Alex! I'm so pleased!
Betsy I have snow here too. I'm 1 hour north of Toronto, Ontario. Just put the dogs out and our deck was covered.
ReplyDeleteWay to early!!
Oh my goodness! But you are north of me...I would almost expect it there. Sounds like you have more than we do....it was just a dusting and gone immediately.
DeleteI'm not ready for snow either, but it will give me a good reason to stay inside and crochet... or blog, maybe.
ReplyDelete:0)
I always love an excuse to stay inside!
Deleterumor has it ours is coming on friday...
ReplyDeletehehehe i am excited. smiles.
I think we are the only two that love snow. ha.
DeleteYour "mom look" must be pretty good!
ReplyDeleteI think we all would like to see what it looks like.
(really glad to know the rides have been fine)
Oh, would you? lol....might scare you! haha.
DeleteThat is so pretty. The leaves with the dusting of snow is perfect. I love to watch it snow. It's so peaceful.
ReplyDeleteI love snow, too. Here in the south tis a rarity. Well except for the blizzard of 93'. ha! I prayed, Lord, give us all we can handle. haha. God has a lovely sense of humor. 26" of snow in the south is like a hurricane in the middle of Wyoming. And, I forgot to say, Lord leave the power on. My bad. I sometimes forget you must be pacific when you pray. I don't know how I missed that, may have been the excitement of actually getting snow. ;)
So glad that Alex is doing better. Bless him.
JaG
26" is a lot...especially there where you don't have snow plows and road salt! Yeah, it's a lot more fun if you can keep the power on! haha....our family does not do well without power...especially the boys. Oh my.
DeleteThanks from a Canadian for directing the snow away from Canada. :) PS: It does look beautiful.
ReplyDeletearen't you buried in snow yet? :)
DeleteBetsy....please!
DeleteNo Canadian buried in snow jokes....please!!
There are a few American States further north than a lot of Ontario....
Nope...not a flake here...no sleet...and no frost yet...
Beautiful sunrise this am...Miss V here at 7:15...down with another cold and fever...:o(
How did the apple pie bread turn out? Did you at least wait for it to cool? hahaha!
Enjoy your day...♥
Cheers!
Linda :o)
aw...poor baby! Hope she's better soon!
DeleteThe bread was wonderful! And no, I had the first slice warm! I can see why you love it...I'll be making it again...and again....and again....lol.....
Yay! for Alex having an easier time! SNOW! wow! We are just getting a cool front... (it's ONLY 63 degrees at 6 AM). ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDelete63? haha...we woke up to sleet!
DeleteHey!! That is great news for Alex, glad that he is doing better again. That has to be a good thing. Also, loving your moon shot on your header Betsy. I do love your moons. (oops, just read this back and realised what I had written, but YOU know what I mean!!)
ReplyDeleteNow, about this snow business, it is not big or clever to make it snow in OCTOBER!! (yes, I'm shouting...) We haven't had nearly enough autumny shots of leaves and pumpkins and all those lovely things yet. Snow snow go away, don't come back until December please.
Oh, and don't feel you have to share the snow by sending it my way Betsy!
xxxxx
I do agree...we haven't properly finished all the lovely autumnal things! And in my opinion, that must go through our Thanksgiving weekend! :)
Deletealways amazing photography Betsy! My son lives outside Chicago and called to say it was snowing there yesterday during his daughter's soccer practice...ugh!
ReplyDeletelovely! Yay for Alex! and you :)
ReplyDeleteIt's chilly here but the sun is shining. Heading out soon for some walking!
Happy for Alex, not for the snow! Ugh! Too early!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, there's plenty more to come as well! Good to know Alex is good as well, so weird that it happened in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHi Betsy .. gosh snow?! Yugh! We've just had a tree down here ... but I rent - so thankfully others will sort out! No damage to flats or cars .. and it's still so warm ... cheers Hilary
