Aw, Marty! I don't know...like I said..you guys are way out of my league! My little felt kitty hat? haha...that's not so impressive. Next bigger project I do, I'll come join in....something worth asking all of your readers to come and look at. :)
haha! I love the hat Betsy, she look serious:) Did you know here a lot of kids celebrate Halloween too?? is funny because we are in spring but that is! When the kids were Little they went to house to treat or trick , now they dont go ha!
I don't have any more little boys to go, either! But they do like to go to the door and see the costumes. Not as many kids come to our neighborhood as in past years...they have all grown up!
Well always I have to buy some treats to the kids that coming this day, and Esperanza love this and see their costumes. I dont remember where but Im sure I have some pictures really cute!!
She wears it well, doesn't she? She's kind of got a creepy thing going on anyway. ha. She's looking down, so I keep her up high on a shelf so she can look down at me. ha.
Just put flea control on the whole bunch. If you think that was expensive, you have a hunch. lol. Not this kitty, though, the fleas might stub a toe. hahaha.
How did you know that I was cruising the bog world??? I was reading your fried green tomato post and looked at the neely's recipe. They made it more difficult than necessary... Ha! I had them for dinner tonight. Give this easy way a try: slice, salt, let sit for an hour or so to remove moisture; pat dry, dip in buttermilk then meal and seasonings , fry... Enjoy!
She's ok. She has just been petrified. A little mandrake potion and she'll be right as rain. I think she'll love the little witches hat wench she wakes on All Hallows Eve. May end up demanding a matching purse. ;) Or could be I've been watching a little too much of Harry Potter #2. haha.
She really does look like that! When she was out on the tables at the auction I had to check her out. She's really old....looks a bit like stone but really light when you pick her up. Her paint is all worn. I wonder if she lived outside for a time. :)
I am not crazy about witches but your little kittie is adorable. We've ordered Gavin a shark costume and got Elizabeth pink cowboy boots and a hat that they both requested. But husbands knee surgery and recovery will pretty much be what we are doing for Halloween.
I am wondering if it could be late enough into October to carve jack-o-lanterns or would they be mush by the time Halloween came around?
ReplyDeleteNot that I pay any attention to Halloween anyway.
DeleteI just saw in pinterest that if you immerse your carved pumpkin in a sink of water/bleach before setting outside, it will last a lot longer.
DeleteI will give that careful consideration (and find some old clothes).
DeleteI'll have two little girls here tomorrow.
Awwww, cute!
ReplyDeleteI thought it was! Do you remember when I bid on her and brought her home? She's such a funny looking thing..kind of like a gargoyle. ha.
DeleteAnd from the little notch on her ear, I'd say she's been spayed! Ha!
DeleteOh I love your projects and your DIY is so creative. I hope you will link up to Inspire Me. Fabulous idea. Hugs, Marty

DeleteCute! Do you think you could get any of your real cats to sport a Halloween costume?
ReplyDeleteI seriously doubt it. Well, maybe a hat for a minute or two but that's all. ha. I'm not really into dressing your pets, though. lol....
Deletehaha! I love the hat Betsy, she look serious:)

As Halloween comes due
Just put flea control on the whole bunch.

Flea control would cost a ton
DeleteFor all the kitties under your sun
That it did, it is true.
DeleteBut the alternative is just Ew. ha.
Love the kitty and her hat! The chalk cat is so cute...how big is she?
ReplyDeleteShe's about 6 inches tall...just a little thing! ;)

ReplyDeleteWell, I didn't know....but I do think of you time to time. :)
DeleteThat's how I usually make them...but deep frying looked fun..and they said the breading wouldn't fall off like it can when you pan fry.
whew. i was hoping you did not turn one of your cats to stone...
ReplyDeleteha.
LOL! Never underestimate my powers! ha.
DeleteOh!!!....I'm scared....hahaha!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
Linda :o)
She does look a little frightening, doesn't she? ha.
DeleteIsn't it amazing what a hat will do? I think this was the perfect way to celebrate Halloween with your chalk kitty.
ReplyDeleteShe might have to wear a santa hat for December. ha.
DeleteI think that little kitty is waiting for her witch to come home! Very cute. xx
ReplyDeleteShe needs a broom!
DeleteYou better get her one then - that would be toooo cute!!!

DeleteWe're getting in shape for Halloween here as well Betsy, it's coming really soon!
ReplyDeleteAre you? So, what's the common halloween treats to give out over there?
DeleteThis is the way I like to decorate, plop a hat on something.
ReplyDeleteNot pretentious, just good old FUN!
Exactly. We don't do much. We don't even carve pumpkins! ha.
DeleteI am not crazy about witches but your little kittie is adorable.

Oh, those grands will be so cute! The kids in their costumes is the fun part.
Deletelol witching hour :)
ReplyDeletehaha....you're so clever. :)
DeleteToo funny! Love the kitty - lots of personality. Kinda scary and kinda cute at the same time. Oh... and Betsy... BOO!!!
ReplyDeleteShe is a little scary...she's not sweet or cute looking...She's quite odd...but that's why I liked her. ha.
DeleteExactly - that's why I like odd things too. She is not a cookie-cutter-kitty!
