I got to check it off my summer list! It really was very fun. We've done others but the trains weren't as nice...or the scenery...and it was incredibly hot...almost not enjoyable! This one was perfect! It would be lovely in the fall with all the colors...sounds like a plan!
OH I love this. What a wonderful day for the boys after the wedding! You did wonderful things with the whole family the whole weekend! Wedding and Trains! What more could you ask for!
The boys were SO excited! They deserved something fun after being so good for three days of traveling, dinners and occasions where they had to be out of their comfort zone. I'm so proud of them!
Oh what a blast! The train is so pretty inside. Just love the pictures of The Mister..we don't get to see that often, and he looks like a happy passenger. What a treat for the boys. HaHa I love the peeking out the window. Fun, Fun, Fun.
With all the love the boys have for trains, do you think it lived up to their dreams? It certainly looks like a great ride and that everyone enjoyed it.
I think it did live up to their dreams! We hadn't ridden a train in several years. This was by far the nicest one. They were just so excited...so fun to watch them!
It looks like everyone had a very special train ride with gorgeous scenery to see along the way. I hope the boys got a lot of souvenirs to bring back with them. I so enjoyed the pictures you shared with us.
Yeah, just a little anxiety when we were buying our tickets. Then he was alright. Didn't enjoy it as much as the other two, but still did pretty well. :) He stuck by my side...he's my little shadow. :)
Such a great travelogue! I noticed the crossed fingers, but hopefully they slowly uncrossed as the train chugged. I love the last photo too - tells of a very satisfying day. But I also adore the pics of the Mister and those gorgeous wooden windows with the leaded glass. Beautiful. And another favourite is the huge willow tree providing a giant cow umbrella! Great photos!
I was wondering how much fun the boys had, I thought about them so much after you told us they were doing this, what a treat,
ReplyDeleteIt was a very nice time! It wasn't quite as hot or humid and there was a nice breeze all day.
DeleteThe train was beautiful and so was the scenery!
I would love to do that! Maybe I'll do a little bit of googling...
ReplyDeleteOr maybe I'll put it on my list of things to do this fall. :)
