    1. Wow! I'm not sure how tall this was...the road sits higher than the field. It's got to be all the rain we've had. Can't wait for harvest...one of the most wonderful things about summer!

  4. Corn, Corn, Corn. Remember that from "Secondhand Lions" It's so green. I had to laugh this morning when I saw three stalks of corn growing in my flowerpot by the Spider Plant. I think some corn from the bird seed got it and took root. One stalk is about 2 feet high and sturdy. I wonder????

    1. Well, I learned something here...the UK gets fresh produce brought up from Spain...just like we do from South America. Makes sense, of course. :) Yes, corn on the cob...it's wonderful and it says 'summer' like nothing else!

  8. Love sweet corn! In the markets around here too, but none at the farmers stands yet.
Tomatoes are just now trickling in that's not coming up from south GA. or FL.
    Enjoy your weekend!
