    1. Oooh...you are good!

      And first! :)

Oh, those Starlings do travel in large hosts, don't they? Yeah, freaky is a good name for it! haha. They are here like that, too...like a cloud. Don't bother the feeders, though..they love to march through the grass!

  2. I'm still tired from Thanksgiving, so I'm going to take Brian's word for it. I have so many leaves in the back yard (see my post) that I can tell if it's a sparrow or a leaf!!

That is truly a great picture, and would make a great puzzle!

  5. I got 14 too
One is hidden a bit from view
    They sure like your zoo
It will be a war between the two
    14 cats and 14 birds
Should be quite the exchange of words

    1. A few are harder to see
as they blend into the tree!
You'd think there wouldn't be any at all
with my herd of cats running the hall!
But once in a while one gets caught
which I'm sure hurts a lot.
But it's mice they're getting lately
and to that I'm elated greatly
      rather they got caught outside
      then to find them inside!
      lol.

    2. Yeah inside would be gross indeed
But then you know that at your feed

  6. I found 13, then read the comments and found another. This one is even harder than the last one! They are happy at your place.

  8. I found 14, then I counted again and got 13. I had to count twice more before I found the 14th one again.

My daughter purchased a couple bird feeders and is having fun with cardinals at her house. While out this afternoon we saw a whole flock of black birds (maybe crows). It felt like we were in an Alfred Hitchcock movie!

  17. I kept getting a different number each time I counted but I have a pinched nerve in my neck so it made my head hurt to count any more. I got 13, then 15, then 12 and 12, then I gave up. Never got to 14 though. But I agree that would make for one of those barely solvable puzzles.

    God bless.

  18. Well I got 13 at first... then peered harder and got 14... consistently. Phew! I have an eye twitch now! Do you have one cat per bird? :-)

  19. Oh how fun. I love sparrows, but I know most bluebird folks don't. Apparently the English sparrow is killing our bluebirds around here. Hard to imagine, I love their puffy little appearance.
