Oh, those Starlings do travel in large hosts, don't they? Yeah, freaky is a good name for it! haha. They are here like that, too...like a cloud. Don't bother the feeders, though..they love to march through the grass!
I'm still tired from Thanksgiving, so I'm going to take Brian's word for it. I have so many leaves in the back yard (see my post) that I can tell if it's a sparrow or a leaf!!
That is truly a great picture, and would make a great puzzle!
Yes is true I dont sleep almost nothing:) BUt Im ready to go to bed:) Hey waht lovely vintage glasses in Etsy/betsy and I see you have a discount like black fridays!LOL Good night Betsy!
I got 14 too One is hidden a bit from view They sure like your zoo It will be a war between the two 14 cats and 14 birds Should be quite the exchange of words
A few are harder to see as they blend into the tree! You'd think there wouldn't be any at all with my herd of cats running the hall! But once in a while one gets caught which I'm sure hurts a lot. But it's mice they're getting lately and to that I'm elated greatly rather they got caught outside then to find them inside! lol.
I found 14, then I counted again and got 13. I had to count twice more before I found the 14th one again.
My daughter purchased a couple bird feeders and is having fun with cardinals at her house. While out this afternoon we saw a whole flock of black birds (maybe crows). It felt like we were in an Alfred Hitchcock movie!
Mmm, what I miss most about not celebrating Thanksgiving is the food.;) The very delicious food.;) Love all your leftovers ideas.;) Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving Betsy.;) xoxo
Hihi, not sure why my commenst got published on the wrong post, but I guess the computer is a bit crazy today.;) Have a great week ahead dear Betsy, xoxo
I kept getting a different number each time I counted but I have a pinched nerve in my neck so it made my head hurt to count any more. I got 13, then 15, then 12 and 12, then I gave up. Never got to 14 though. But I agree that would make for one of those barely solvable puzzles.
Oh how fun. I love sparrows, but I know most bluebird folks don't. Apparently the English sparrow is killing our bluebirds around here. Hard to imagine, I love their puffy little appearance.
14?
ReplyDeletewe had literally 1000s of starlings at my parents house today...it was a little freaky but amazing to watch
Oooh...you are good!
DeleteAnd first! :)

DeleteBut then you know that at your feed
I found 13, then read the comments and found another. This one is even harder than the last one! They are happy at your place.
ReplyDeleteThis one was harder! I kept only finding 12 at first!
DeleteI found 15.
ReplyDeleteWhaaat? lol....
Deleteha yeah I had to keep re-counting but I did come up with 15... again...and again. lol

our black bird flocks have been Starlings. They do swoop in and go through the grass! and yes, I always think of that movie! haha.
Deletewell I counted 13 then read the comments and went back to count again!
ReplyDeleteI think I get a different number every time I count! haha,
DeleteBountiful and beautiful... even when they are Starlings or Sparrows.
ReplyDeleteyes, even the lowly sparrows! ha!
Delete13 or 14 I haven't had my coffee yet and my eyes are blurry. :) I'll show the kids this pic when they wake up--they LOVE I Spy books.
ReplyDeleteMaybe one keeps flying away? ha.
DeleteDear Betsy, lovely capture.;) It seems that everyone already counted the birds, so I will just wish you a lovely Thanksgiving weekend.;)

DeleteWell I got 13 at first... then peered harder and got 14... consistently. Phew! I have an eye twitch now! Do you have one cat per bird? :-)
