It's that smog Bringing out the moon at your log It makes all seem bright Making the moon more of a sight But steal always great shots A the moon shows lots
Betsy, I hope this comes off how I intend it too. I have one very nice telephoto lens and I have friends that have much better zoom lenses (that came with a big price tag too), but your moon pictures are some of the best I have seen ANYWHERE. This picture is stunning...the details? Amazing! Do you use a tripod? We need details! (o:
Well, thanks! Someone else said that to me once and asked if I jumped on a space ship to take the photo! ha.
I don't have any of those fancy lenses like you real photographers do! haha. I just have a 26x zoom on my Nikon. No tripod, although I do have a very steady hand. Still, with it zoomed to the fullest, I still can have a blurry picture if I don't hold my breath! Sometimes I notice my pulse jiggles the camera just enough. I'm sure a tripod would solve that problem. lol.
I took 10 photos and had 4 come out this good...but you know how that goes. ...you just weed out the bad ones. As far as photo editing, I sharpened it just a bit but that's all I did. Maybe it's Ohio? Are we closer to the moon? Uh, ...no, we're flat...very very flat. :)
We had some cloud last night....but I could see it peeking thru!!! Perhaps I can get a shot with my "NEW" camera!!! Yeah!!!! It will be spectacular over the lake this weekend...can't wait!!
Wonderful photo. I don't know how you do it, I have never managed a photo of the moon. Mind you, I did read your post title as "Waxing gibbons" and wondered what Mrs Doolittle had been up to now!
