thanks, dear. My back hurts. haha. But they turned out fine...I just make them like they ask me to, so this was their choice. Tomorrow is the easy part!
You are soooo talented! Did your hand get tired when you put the "design" on? (Mine hand is tired just thinking about it) I need to catch up on all the blogs I follow.... My husband has had me busy planting the garden. And I have "found" free books to read on my Kindle Fire...read a whole book today...so I didn't get much else done. 8~) Take care, Nancy
yes it did...ugh...and that is such a pain..pun intended. haha. Oooh...good for you getting your garden in! I bought plants but they are not in the ground yet! The Mister is addicted to his Kindle. :)
I love the lacing, they look delicious. Hey, you know, I was going to mention this the other day but never did…you had mentioned in a post someplace that you make baskets, what kind, just curious…I was driving around today and I heard someone talking about handbaskets, whatever that actually is, and I was reminded
I do have a little gift basket business here in my home. But it's more of filling a basket with gifts instead of making the actual basket. If you click on 'gift baskets' in my label cloud you'll see what I mean. I've been doing it for 20 years...it's really been a good experience!
Have to tell you this. While scrolling down on the pictures (yes the screen to my notebook is that small) the picture with the C cookies on the left hand side looked like they were marching towards me!
Oh my gracious! You HAVE been busy. They are darling and what a cute idea! Fun! Fun! Fun! Do hope you had sweet dreams. =) ...Of things other than sugar cookies...ha Have a beautiful day Dear. XO
they are sooo cute Betsy I never have made all these cookies in one order dear, look beauty, hey when you have a little time come to eat pizza in my blog Lol! xx
Very pretty, Betsy. Lots of work involved to make that many. My daughter got married in March--I cheated and bought 300 decorated cookies for wedding favors. I'm always impressed with the lovely, creative decorating- I'm on Pinterest and see tons of absolutely the cutest, most detailed decorated cookies--too cute to eat!!! Mickie :)
Yeah, but then again, if I go so far as to reserve that gazebo... I've obviously made up my mind... in the positive. Hell, I'd probably renew my vows for this one someday, if I could just find the right place. Somewhere exotic...
Hey Betsy: Get off your lazy a~~ and do some work....geesh...what a lay about you are!!! :o) Hope you have a great day...packaging those delightful goodies... Great Job...
LOL well you may just faint one day If Pat ever goes down near your bay As many travels are going to come due That is surely true Just need a bigger paycheck I suppose Maybe cookies could end my woes Or we need that pot of gold To go someplace warm not cold..haha
Definitely need that pot of gold before we get too old. And maybe a blogger meet and greet date should be set someplace fun where we could all take a jet. Would be great to meet a few and yes, that would include you! :)
what a delicious and eye-popping creation. when i scrolled the screen down, the rows of cookies had an enlarging action. it was neat, and so is this project. congrats!
This is the mother of the bride for whom the cookies were made...Betsy, they were fabulous! Thanks so much for all your hard work. I've had lots of compliments on them, too. Had a few left over, so we've frozen some for the bride & groom for later. So glad we went with this idea. Since these were handed out following the ceremony and not at the reception, we had a few funny comments, like, "So, this is new...are we supposed to crumble them up and throw them at the bride & groom as they depart?"
Well, hello there, Ms. Anonymous. :) I'm so glad you were happy with them! :) Crumble them and throw them like rice...now that would have been weird! hahaha. Thanks so much for asking me! And I'm glad you left a comment here...it's always nice to know who is reading! :)
Wow, 300 vanilla cookies? I could die right now!:) They're not only yummy to eat but are also cheap wedding favors to give to the guests. I want to have them on my wedding day! :)

ReplyDeleteI know...I'm not sure what it is about that kind of work, but it's awful on the back muscles. ha. The kitchen sure has smelled good, though!
DeleteThey look great and I'm sure they taste yummy....
ReplyDeleteSince I've nibbled on more than my share of 'rejects', I can tell you that they are good. haha.

DeleteWow, the cookies look great! I would never have the patience to make even a dozen of them, let alone 300. Very nice!
ReplyDeletethanks, yuji. :) But I consider you a very patient person! ha.
Delete"I do," huh? Just be glad they weren't for my wedding. They would have said "I'm thinking it over!"
ReplyDeleteWow. I can just imagine how badly that would go over..you in a flower-filled gazebo saying you'll think about it!
DeleteYeah, but then again, if I go so far as to reserve that gazebo... I've obviously made up my mind... in the positive. Hell, I'd probably renew my vows for this one someday, if I could just find the right place. Somewhere exotic...
