I was thinking the orange ski mask kinda detracted from the costume.
Then I noticed that Mr. Liberty has his crown on upside down.
I thought it made him look like some kind of fish. lol.
Hopefully this company of tax accountants and consultants are better
with numbers than mascots. ha.
But he was friendly and we waved to each other after I snapped his photo! :)
♥
We have them here, too! Love it.
ReplyDeleteThey are amusing but I wouldn't want that job! ha.
DeleteHm. According to your blog, I left my comment three hours before you put up your post...
ReplyDeleteyeah, it's a blogger issue. I have the time set correctly!
DeleteThought so, but I couldn't resist mentioning it once I'd noticed.
DeleteYeah, I've noticed you have a hard time resisting quite a few things! lol.
DeleteOh, gosh... Gotta agree with that. Very much!
Deleteha the ones here are a pretty energetic lot actually....
ReplyDeleteI think that's to keep warm, actually! ha.
Deleteit must be a requirement to wave to everyone! I've never seen the one here stand still! And its a LONG light where he hangs.
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sure! This guy wasn't at a stop light, though. He was on the sidewalk outside their office!
DeleteHis outfit kinda matches the metal awning on the brick building behind him. :D
ReplyDeleteYou're right! Maybe that is what he has on his head? lol.
DeleteThe outfits they give them vary from branch to branch. Some really look good, with full face masks of the Statue of Liberty. (It helps that those also hide your identity!)
DeleteAre their crowns right-side-up? :)
DeleteAll the ones I've seen, yes. You'd think someone in the office would have told that guy his was screwed up!
ReplyDeleteThe guy at our local one has fun doing tricks with his sign. He does some spins, and flips with it that keeps you entertain while waiting for the light to change.
ReplyDeleteThat is just too funny!
Deletewe have that same tax service with the same friendly waving Statue of Liberty too.
ReplyDeleteBut it has not been cold enough here for anyone to need a bankrobber mask :)
I did our simple taxes on line, I think I used Taxact.com
we use Turbo Tax online. You're right...easy and fast.
DeleteHe doesn't look like he likes his job any more than I would!
ReplyDeleteXO,
Jane
haha...well, he wasn't animated like some here describe. But he did smile and wave. :) (maybe he saw my camera! ha.)
DeleteThe ski mask makes him look a little bit like a bank robber. :)
ReplyDeleteI think you're right! But he would be bringing attention to himself! ha.
DeleteLoL, we have one here as well.He wears a huge crown on his head.ha!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice sunday ahead Betsy!
you, too, Becky! We had cool breeze and sunshine today, so that's what you'll get tomorrow! :)
Deletehahaha none of those here
ReplyDeleteI just got out of tax gear
Did everyones today
At that other bay
Blah brain is tired after that
Much easier writing with the cat..haha
Catch all the kitties today?
Or did some get away
No, I don't suppose you'd have a Liberty guy.
DeleteMaybe a Mountie or a Moose by and by.
Moose Tax Constultants.
haha Sorry, I couldn't help it.
:)
Not a single cat was caught.
I almost cried a very lot.
They didn't come around last night
and didn't want breakfast either. None in sight..
except the ones already neutered...
I swear Marmy knows English and to all alerted.
Sigh. Made the appointment again for April
Probably have 10 more by then. Oh well.
You did taxes for all of them?
DeleteNow look who's sweet. You're such a gem.
Do they count all the cats as dependents?
let me know if that works and I'll attempt it!
lol....
haha a moose guy would be fun to see
ReplyDeleteBut not sure they is any walking about dressed in crap spreading tax glee
Marmy sure is very self aware
There at your lair
He doesn't want to end up like the rest
And still put the humpty hump to the test..haha
Geez with ten more
You'll really beat the other shore
Crap missed reply
DeleteOn that try
LOL nope the cats don't count
For any amount
Although they should
Get tons of money back we could
Yeah I hate doing the stupid stuff
But it only comes once a year with it's huff and puff
I thought I would have Marmy for sure this time
DeleteHe's come in and laid on this desk of mine
just like Whiskers does
but then ran off just because
he some how knew
and protected his lil' siblings, too!
ha.
Yep, dependents they should be
that would fill The Mister with glee
when he files our taxes here
that would surely give a cheer.
ha.
They know when something is up and out of place
DeleteAnd off they race
Not wanting to end up like the other ones
Who got snipped down around their buns
A nice big brother too
Keeping them out of view..haha
Yeah that would be great
Sadly not our fate
Because then they'd lose more money
And whine about it not being funny
Well, I have a whole month, you see
Deleteto think of another strategy.
Already have an idea,
and put it into place,
so we shall see...ha.
Let's just hope Marmy doesn't follow in his fathers footsteps at your sea
DeleteAnd diddle around with two or three..haha
Oh, it's a little too late for that.
DeleteAlready seen him on two of his little half sisters. Oh strat.
Think one might be in the motherly way
too early to tell at my bay.
I might be imaginging that though
just expecting the worst, you know.
I told him to stop but he wouldn't quit.
Like he would listen to me having a fit.
lol.
LOL wow that would make three that could send some new kitties your way
DeleteMarmy is sure helping to the count at your bay
Even if imagining it though
I'm sure he's doing it alot at your show
When you aren't looking too
So many could come due
Instead of a dalmation plantation in the back
You'll have a kitty plantation at your shack..haha
yep. and now you know my dismay
Deleteat not catching any cats today.
could actually hyperventilate
when I look at them all out by the gate.
lol.
hahaha I can relate
DeleteJust seeing 12 here wait at their dinner plate
Quite the sight
Makes me glad two are all I have around me to bite..haha
yes, I remember a photo of that
Deletebut it was 14 then at that mat
Now that two have passed on
I think I need to send some along.
Up to Nova Scotia land
now that would be just grand.
I could sent the dad up your way
Your turn to hyperventilate.
haha wouldn't make me hyperventilate
DeleteUnless I went to visit that other gate
Then it might
So you can keep him at your site
Of course you can't catch him anyway
So I don't think I have to worry about him up here on display
Betsy...
ReplyDeleteLOL
You have such a fun blog here!
Sorry about not catching the cats. 8~(
Nancy
P.S.
My daughter said she might be able to figure out your Pedicure Party Button.
you can email me about it. 8~)
Too funny!
ReplyDeleteThe city our closest Liberty Tax office is in passed a regulation that doesn't allow dancing on the sidewalk, which is sad. I liked honking and waving to the Statue last year.
No dancing on the sidewalks...oh, that did take all the fun away for the tax mascot..oh dear! haha.
DeleteHaha that's awesome!
ReplyDeletehe does look funny, doesn't it? ha.
DeleteOMG Betsy, sorry arrive late I just arrive from Super and this is so funny!
ReplyDeletenow I think Betsy poor man! (lol)
ReplyDeleteyes, he is funny I think. But he was smiling, so maybe he loves doing this! ha.
DeleteI didn't realize Liberty Tax was a franchise! We have them here too and I pass by the mascot dude every day on the way to school/work.
ReplyDeleteWell, you know what? I didn't know it was a franchise until ya'll started talkin about the ones new you! lol. I guess they are everywhere and require each store to have a mascot. lol. Since it's such a big deal you would think they would try to make them look a little more professional!
DeleteHe looks a little cold.
ReplyDeleteIt was a little nippy that day!
DeleteOh boy. One of them stands on a road near my grandparents house. They subject more than one person to this? Poor fish looking statue of liberty... hahah
ReplyDeleteWho knew! I thought he was the only one! I say they need better costumes! Wonder if they've ever caused any traffic accidents. lol.
DeleteOh aren't we lucky...I have two of those walking on a street in town. Ha!
ReplyDeleteThey had their crowns on correctly. Yours does look like a fish.
Hugs
SueAnn
I guess ours needs a makeover. ha.
DeleteI'm sure I saw him in an episode of Stingray.
ReplyDeleteha!
DeleteHa, how funny. You occasionally see a guy with an advertising board in the cities here but not usually in costume. I'd never have guessed the Statue of Liberty... You've made my day with this!
ReplyDeleteHe really doesn't look anything like Lady Liberty, does he? Oh dear.
Deletegreat catch...of course this is a shady outfit, but what am i talking about, the costume or the company!?
ReplyDeleteone does reflect on the other! hahaha.
DeleteFunny to see everyone's response to this guy. We have them here in Fairbanks as well, I always thought that they jumped around and acted crazy because they were freezing in the 40 below temperatures! Sounds like it is a job requirement though. I always feel bad for them in the winter. What a terrible job, I hope they are paid well.
ReplyDeletepaid well? something tells me no. Oh dear. Had to laugh at your comment, though...yes, I'd be dancing in that cold weather you have, too!
DeleteI figure the tax companies would hire these 'advertisers' if it wasn't working for them. But, can you imagine having this beginning to a professional company handling tax forms!! Thank goodness for my husband and TurboTax. I am truly grateful.
ReplyDeletewe use that, too! very easy!
DeleteWell at least the man got a lot of attention! LOL! Take care
ReplyDeletex
LOL! This gave me a good chuckle!
ReplyDeleteVERY funny...one would hope they are better with taxes, yes...=)
ReplyDeleteYes, let's hope! he looks like a gangsta! lol
ReplyDelete
