Actually, I'd been away from the computer for quite a while, and just got back to check Google Reader when your post showed up, before my eyes! Too cool!
Sure...I have a Nikon CoolPix P100 camera with a 26X zoom. I zoomed in as far as it would let me and held my breath so I wouldn't jiggle the camera. ha. That's it! It was a very cold night and I think that helps with the sharpness...no humidty to shoot through. Thanks for asking!
well, I try to be steady! I don't have a tripod. I have to hold my breath and wait until I get really steady. Zooming in that far makes it really hard to not move! I can feel my pulse sometimes and it makes it blurry! ha. Yes, a tripod would be a good thing! :) I took 4 photos and 2 were clear, 2 were blurry.
I'm surprised that a photography pro like you doesn't have a tripod. But then again, seeing all of your great photos, its apparent that you do just fine without one.
Oh, I'm not a pro...lol..I think I get lucky sometimes. But that was sweet...thank you. I can photograph birds and the moon...but inside shots really need some work! I need to read the manual that came with my camera! lol. (I've only been saying that for a year!)
What moon? Is seconded by this loon For all we got tonight is stupid snow Coming down all aglow Make it go away And come back to your bay I know you want the stuff And we've had enough..haha And that is coffee on the top Hmmm good thing your twin told me or I'd flop Thought it was soup at first Not what you use to get an energy burst..hahaha
I'd love to have your snow Shh...don't tell or others will yell, "NO!" hahaha. Soup? With whipped cream? Not even in my dreams. I don't have your food aversions and even I would scream. lol.
tomorrow is supposed to be warm with tornadoes and hail I'd much rather have your snow, no matter how much they wail! If any of my zoo blows over to you please take them in and share some Cat Chow with them. ha.
Yeah snow beats tornadoes with ease Those things never please Causing much destruction along the way And if any kitties wash up at my bay The cat will be nice for a day Before shipping them back to your bay..haha
Yes...I think you could sell some of your photos. 8~) Tornadoes....Yikes! I will send you winter weather....ASAP March came in like a LION in the Rocky Mountains. Hope you befriend more kitties for your next "adventure". Take care, Nancy
wow! what a gorgeous photo! coincidentally i just put up a photo of the moon taken from my front yard on my lakewood daily snap blog - i wish the craters of the moon on my pic were as clear. i guess i should have held my breath!
Now I will have to go out and check the moon out. Been too sick to care, but we have too many lights and seeing stars is fairly hard to do. Love the hot chocolate, I sure could us a cup right now. Today is cold and tomorrow is going to be in the mid 80's. We keep going from hot to cold and back again. Our bodies cannot adjust. But I love the cold and wish it would stay that way.
Love pics of Nugget and Tiger, so good to see them getting along.

God bless.
are you still sick? Oh dear!
DeleteI rarely see any stars here - too much light pollution. I don't know how you take such superb photos of the moon. I tried and it's really hard to do.
ReplyDeleteit IS hard to do! I always take extra photos so I can weed out the blurry ones.
Delete"La luna! La luna!"
