Recovery

I enjoyed being Dr. Doolittle to four cats recovering from surgery today.  Activities included lounging, laying at my feet, playing with catnip mice, napping, grooming, blogging, and walking side by side with your sis while wrapping your tails together. ha.

  1. My! They don't look like kittens any more, do they? Glad everything went well.

    1. Not really! Socks still does a little bit. He's the one playing with the mouse. But he's younger than the others.

    1. She was back to her sweet self today and napped on my arm while I typed as she loves to do! :) Except I lifted her up on the desk and helped her down so she didn't have to jump. I helped Tiger up but he jumped down on his own just fine. Whiskers acted apprehensive, like she knew it would hurt. Aren't I nice? :)

  4. Well, what do ya know? They're all still beautiful!
I love the sleepy guy in the middle. :)

  5. They look really happy again Betsy!!

  6. But for some reason they don't appear feral...

    1. That's what I was telling Silver Fox the other day! They are clean, healthy, etc...the others there Saturday were rough, dirty, unhealthy and you couldn't tell they had been in fights, etc. Living on my back porch does have it's advantages!

  7. They look content and happy.
Not 100% feral, more like I like it here and think I'll stay :)
    How sweet.

    1. They've had good tender loving care since day one. :) ha. It's the next group that aren't so trusting of me. I have a month to work on them, though and had a couple of them inside today. They didn't let me touch, but they didn't seem so terrified of me, either.

    2. So when do you change My Five Men to My Five Men... and Nine Cats?

    3. hahaha...never...cuz Nugget and Mr. & Mrs. Bird would be jealous! :)

    4. You could always copy Pat's style and change the blog's name to Whoopdi Friggin' Doo, Welcome to My Zoo! Haha!

    1. Wonder why Tiger was so interesting in that one?! :)

  11. LOL yippee Tiger really likes me
He better like bush number three
After the cat came all the way down there
    To your lair
And showed him how to open the door
Glad he is so impressed with my shore..haha
Walking tail and tail is funny too
First I've seen of that come due
Now that you have them indoors so much they may expect it all the time
Poor marmy is now left out in the cold what a crime..haha
And yeah steal my whoopdi friggin doo
I think that would be fun to view

    1. That side by side and tail to tail act!
Socks did that to Whiskers all day, in fact.
      It was really quite cute
as he was stuck to her like glue.
      He's a very affectionate cat.
and the softest one, in fact!
So Orlin taught Tiger how to log on to your blog?
lol...you really are a follower hog!
      hahaha.

      Delete
    2. lol that was funny to log onto the cat's site :-)))

      Delete
    3. LOL hey the cat needs some followers of his own breed
As they will get things more than humans at my feed
Nice to know one smart cat follows the blog
So the cat can help others through the fog
And the dvd thing is funny
As my uncle used to take the back and rub it across the carpet thinking it would make it all work again and be sunny..haha

      Delete
    4. haha..Pat, I can relate to the carpet thing
taking care of the DVD's is hard to explain.
One time one of my boys took all of his out
and lined them up on the sidewalk and walked about.
He liked them all out there in a row
as the concrete scratched them as I did groan.

      Delete
    5. Well at least he had fun
Although probably not much when he tried to make them run

      Delete
    6. So very true
I can wipe off some peanut butter goo
but the scratch is there to stay
      oh, the dismay!
      But VHS wasn't much better
sometime Poptarts would get stuck, making me shudder.
      lol.

      Delete
    7. hahaha wow that is funny
Although pop tarts in the vcr could be kind of runny
Those scratches are quite the pain
As they skip and skip making just watching the thing hurt my brain

      Delete
    8. Well, the Poptart wasn't runny
      just really crumby!
      And not at all funny.
      A toaster it is not
      I guess they just forgot.

      Delete
    9. Years ago, I heard about some kid who put a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the VCR!

      Delete
    10. haha ~ Silver! Look at you! Is that a heart accented loin cloth you're wearing? And just who are you shooting those arrows at there, Cupid?

      Delete
    11. haha well it sorta resembles a toaster I guess
      Would be quite the mess

      Scary Silver, scary indeed
But after dressing like that I hope you get your gal to do the deed..LOL

      Delete
    12. Does Silver have a gal? Well now, that is interesting!
If that's the truth, why is he always over here flirting?
      Could be a little scary
      if the weather is blustery!

      Delete
    13. Who, me? Flirt?

And I think I like this Cupid gig. Instead of running someone over with my car, I can just shoot an arrow into their butt!

      Delete
    14. Shoot arrows at them...oh good....that's not what I thought you were going to say. lol...

      Delete
    15. Dare I ask what you did think I was going to say?

      Delete
    16. Sure you can ask.

      But I won't answer.

      ha.

      Delete
    17. Silver--nice avatar. Hope you don't get cold flying around in this weather with only a loin cloth. :)

    18. Don't worry, Rebecca, I'm sure I'll find someone to keep me warm.

    19. I KNEW you would say that!!! Tell her I said Happy Valentines Day to both of you!!!

      Delete
    20. I'll remember to mention it. Same to you.

      Delete
    21. Are you making some of your famous spicy chicken soup for supper tonight?

      Delete
    22. Sorry, Rebecca... I was away for a bit. My soup? No, not tonight. All the spiciness must come from within.

      Delete
    23. Hmmmmm, I see. :) I made heart-shaped meatloaf frosted with mashed potatoes, and we had peach cobbler for dessert. :)

      Delete
    24. You baked a heart-shaped meatloaf for Valentine's Day? What a coincidence. I baked a meatloaf-shaped heart! Hahahahahahahahahaaaaa!

      Delete
    25. Are you serious, or is there a hidden reference to Meatloaf in that comment? :)

      Delete
    26. Hm. If you mean Meat Loaf the singer, the only reference to him was in an acrostic Betsy wrote for me some time ago. It's at the bottom of my blog.

As far as whether or not I've baked anyone's organs lately... Come on over for supper sometime and find out for yourself!

    1. Ha! I'd love more, but I think 2 cats (rescued cats of course!) 1 dog and 1 goldfish (from a school carnival 5 years ago!) are enough. And I am not even close to your amount of pets!

  13. So glad you were able to bring in 4 of them and that they are doing so well! They look very healthy and happy! Love the kitty tail wrap pic! :-)...hugs...Debbie

  19. They are all looking well and on their way to a full recovery. They are such sweethearts to look at in the pictures and I am not sure which part of their ears is missing but they all look fine to me or at least what I can see in the pics.

I hope they spend a few more days enjoying you and your men because they look like other house cats and are just beautiful.

    God bless.

  28. Dear Catwoman - you amaze me with your boundless energy & BTW how hard is it to wriggle into that slinky black suit every day? Not sure about the notch in the ear stuff, our Vet puts a tiny tatoo on the inside of the ear while they are under anaesthesia to denote their newly Infertile status. MOTH worried they might have done the same to him when he had a similar 'operation' a few years ago.
