I enjoyed being Dr. Doolittle to four cats recovering from surgery today. Activities included lounging, laying at my feet, playing with catnip mice, napping, grooming, blogging, and walking side by side with your sis while wrapping your tails together. ha.
♥
My! They don't look like kittens any more, do they? Glad everything went well.
ReplyDeleteNot really! Socks still does a little bit. He's the one playing with the mouse. But he's younger than the others.
DeleteGlad things are settling down!
ReplyDeleteYes, they are. I feel 100% better than I did this time last night! ha.
DeleteI'm glad Whiskers is no longer among the missing!
ReplyDeleteShe was back to her sweet self today and napped on my arm while I typed as she loves to do! :) Except I lifted her up on the desk and helped her down so she didn't have to jump. I helped Tiger up but he jumped down on his own just fine. Whiskers acted apprehensive, like she knew it would hurt. Aren't I nice? :)
DeleteWell... I've always thought so.
DeleteWell, what do ya know? They're all still beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love the sleepy guy in the middle. :)
Still sweet, too! :)
DeleteThey look really happy again Betsy!!
ReplyDeleteI think they are, Gloria! They look like they have forgiven me.! lol.
DeleteLike the kids when they are happy:)
Deletehaha...so true!
DeleteBut for some reason they don't appear feral...
ReplyDeleteThat's what I was telling Silver Fox the other day! They are clean, healthy, etc...the others there Saturday were rough, dirty, unhealthy and you couldn't tell they had been in fights, etc. Living on my back porch does have it's advantages!
DeleteThey look content and happy.
ReplyDeleteNot 100% feral, more like I like it here and think I'll stay :)
How sweet.
~Jo
They've had good tender loving care since day one. :) ha. It's the next group that aren't so trusting of me. I have a month to work on them, though and had a couple of them inside today. They didn't let me touch, but they didn't seem so terrified of me, either.
DeleteSo when do you change My Five Men to My Five Men... and Nine Cats?
Deletehahaha...never...cuz Nugget and Mr. & Mrs. Bird would be jealous! :)
DeleteYou could always copy Pat's style and change the blog's name to Whoopdi Friggin' Doo, Welcome to My Zoo! Haha!
DeleteLOL! Now that would work!
DeletePat would love it, too!
DeleteHe's going to love that Tiger was reading his blog today!
DeleteYeah, I noticed that!
DeleteSweet!
ReplyDeleteNeed a couple of kitties? :)
DeleteI had no idea what this post was talking about (I have been gone for 5 days) so i went back and looked at your older posts...all I can say is BLESS YOU Dr. Doolittle/ Nurse Nightingale/Bob Barker
ReplyDeletehaha...Anita...you've been nursing your own pet! :) Hope Buster is doing well.
DeleteThis is wonderful news, Betsy! I'm so happy you were able to get these darling kittens fixed and I hope you eventually catch the elusive Mr, Marmelade for the next time!
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have to start planning my Marmy attack days in advance! lol...
Deleteha i know what blog they are reading...smiles....i am glad they are recovering...cute pics betsy...
ReplyDeleteWonder why Tiger was so interesting in that one?! :)
DeleteLOL yippee Tiger really likes me
ReplyDeleteHe better like bush number three
After the cat came all the way down there
To your lair
And showed him how to open the door
Glad he is so impressed with my shore..haha
Walking tail and tail is funny too
First I've seen of that come due
Now that you have them indoors so much they may expect it all the time
Poor marmy is now left out in the cold what a crime..haha
And yeah steal my whoopdi friggin doo
I think that would be fun to view
That side by side and tail to tail act!
DeleteSocks did that to Whiskers all day, in fact.
It was really quite cute
as he was stuck to her like glue.
He's a very affectionate cat.
and the softest one, in fact!
So Orlin taught Tiger how to log on to your blog?
lol...you really are a follower hog!
hahaha.
lol that was funny to log onto the cat's site :-)))
DeleteLOL hey the cat needs some followers of his own breed
DeleteAs they will get things more than humans at my feed
Nice to know one smart cat follows the blog
So the cat can help others through the fog
And the dvd thing is funny
As my uncle used to take the back and rub it across the carpet thinking it would make it all work again and be sunny..haha
haha..Pat, I can relate to the carpet thing
Deletetaking care of the DVD's is hard to explain.
One time one of my boys took all of his out
and lined them up on the sidewalk and walked about.
He liked them all out there in a row
as the concrete scratched them as I did groan.
Well at least he had fun
DeleteAlthough probably not much when he tried to make them run
So very true
DeleteI can wipe off some peanut butter goo
but the scratch is there to stay
oh, the dismay!
But VHS wasn't much better
sometime Poptarts would get stuck, making me shudder.
lol.
hahaha wow that is funny
DeleteAlthough pop tarts in the vcr could be kind of runny
Those scratches are quite the pain
As they skip and skip making just watching the thing hurt my brain
Well, the Poptart wasn't runny
Deletejust really crumby!
And not at all funny.
A toaster it is not
I guess they just forgot.
Years ago, I heard about some kid who put a peanut butter and jelly sandwich in the VCR!
Deletehaha ~ Silver! Look at you! Is that a heart accented loin cloth you're wearing? And just who are you shooting those arrows at there, Cupid?
DeleteI'll never tell. Heh, heh, heh...
Deletehaha well it sorta resembles a toaster I guess
DeleteWould be quite the mess
Scary Silver, scary indeed
But after dressing like that I hope you get your gal to do the deed..LOL
Does Silver have a gal? Well now, that is interesting!
DeleteIf that's the truth, why is he always over here flirting?
Could be a little scary
if the weather is blustery!
Who, me? Flirt?
DeleteAnd I think I like this Cupid gig. Instead of running someone over with my car, I can just shoot an arrow into their butt!
Shoot arrows at them...oh good....that's not what I thought you were going to say. lol...
DeleteDare I ask what you did think I was going to say?
DeleteSure you can ask.
DeleteBut I won't answer.
ha.
Silver--nice avatar. Hope you don't get cold flying around in this weather with only a loin cloth. :)
DeleteDon't worry, Rebecca, I'm sure I'll find someone to keep me warm.
DeleteI KNEW you would say that!!! Tell her I said Happy Valentines Day to both of you!!!
DeleteI'll remember to mention it. Same to you.
DeleteAre you making some of your famous spicy chicken soup for supper tonight?
DeleteSorry, Rebecca... I was away for a bit. My soup? No, not tonight. All the spiciness must come from within.
DeleteHmmmmm, I see. :) I made heart-shaped meatloaf frosted with mashed potatoes, and we had peach cobbler for dessert. :)
DeleteYou baked a heart-shaped meatloaf for Valentine's Day? What a coincidence. I baked a meatloaf-shaped heart! Hahahahahahahahahaaaaa!
DeleteAre you serious, or is there a hidden reference to Meatloaf in that comment? :)
DeleteHm. If you mean Meat Loaf the singer, the only reference to him was in an acrostic Betsy wrote for me some time ago. It's at the bottom of my blog.
DeleteAs far as whether or not I've baked anyone's organs lately... Come on over for supper sometime and find out for yourself!
They look healthy and beautiful, and spoiled, just like our pets!
ReplyDeleteDo you want more? ha.
DeleteHa! I'd love more, but I think 2 cats (rescued cats of course!) 1 dog and 1 goldfish (from a school carnival 5 years ago!) are enough. And I am not even close to your amount of pets!
DeleteSo glad you were able to bring in 4 of them and that they are doing so well! They look very healthy and happy! Love the kitty tail wrap pic! :-)...hugs...Debbie
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie! That is a cute picture, isn't it? I was so amused watching them do that today! ha.
DeleteJulie was my "kitten" today. We brought her home from the Hospital, and I'm trying to be there to help her recover. What a rough 5 days, but she doing much better now.
ReplyDeleteLove your "furry" family. Thanks for all your prayers for Julie.
I'm so glad she's home from the hospital! I did pray for her...thanks for the update, Wanda!
Deleteand that's how stray cats becomes domestic ones ... haha! but i mean it in a good way Betsy!! & i couldn't see anything on their ears ... the two walking side by side is so cute! they are all gorgeous, many happy times with them! :-)
ReplyDeleteBirdie ~ now they are ready for homes! Want a couple? ha.
DeleteI'll take some pics of their ears...from some angles they look fine...others? Not so fine. ha
Betsy, we would already have a cat if it wouldn't be for my husband's allergies :-( ... i'm like you i would love to have a zoo :-))
DeleteAwwwww the kitties are looking just fine!! Yay!! So so so so happy to see them up and about - awww the kitties with twirled tails together - how super cute is that!??! Thank you thank you thank you lovely Betsy for being there for them!! Take care
ReplyDeletex
Thanks, Kitty! The more difficult group is next. They are really going to be a challenge!
DeleteGoodmorning Dr. doolittle LOL.they look soo cute and so healthy like nothing ever happened. The photos are adorable. The black ones are too cute!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck with them Betsy, maybe you can further your career now to Veternarian ha.Blessings!
A Vet? Well, that would be more convenient, wouldn't it? I could set up a clinic here in my kitchen and do a little snip-snip myself! ha.
DeleteYou are rockin' the Dr. Doolittle role!! Happy Balentine's Day, Betsy!
ReplyDeleteI'm trying, Tanna! :)
DeleteThey are all looking well and on their way to a full recovery. They are such sweethearts to look at in the pictures and I am not sure which part of their ears is missing but they all look fine to me or at least what I can see in the pics.
ReplyDeleteI hope they spend a few more days enjoying you and your men because they look like other house cats and are just beautiful.
God bless.
I'll take some 'ear photos' soon so you can see better. And yes, they are sweethearts. These are the friendly ones. The next group not so much! ha.
DeleteYou really are becoming a cat lady dear Betsy and I mean that in a good way.;))
ReplyDeleteI hope it was not some serious surgery.;)
Love all the kitty images.;)
xoxo
Spayed and neutered, Zuz. :)
DeleteThey look like they are enjoying their good life inside:-)
ReplyDeleteI think they did! But they are all happily outside again...I guess you can't take the 'wild' out of them completely!
DeleteSuch pretty kitties! Love that they wrapped their tails around each other!
ReplyDeleteI know! Me, too...that was my favorite. So sweet! That little Socks is extremely affectionate.
DeleteThey look right at home! I think they want to partner with you on the blog. Time to give them their own byline!
ReplyDeletehaha...I think they are hogging all the air time here as it is! :)
DeleteOh my, that is just too much cuteness! So sweet of you to be taking such good care of them even though they're not "technically" yours!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dawn. :)
DeleteLike I told some others, nine is fun on the back porch. Any more would NOT be fun. So I'm doing this for selfish reasons as well as for them. ha.
Happy Valentines day to you Betsy!:)
ReplyDeleteHappy day to you, too, Gloria dear. :)
Deletenice header betsy and I know you made, I know your draws (lol) is beuty:)
DeleteYou recognized my drawing? :) Thanks. Yes, I drew it. Hope you're having a nice day today.
DeleteHey, great new header! By one of my favorite artists, too!
ReplyDeleteSilvee I love your new avatar!!! really nice.)))
Deletespecial for this day(lol)
DeleteHappy Valentines Day Betsy!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Rebecca~ same to you! Hope you're having a good day!
DeleteMy day went pretty well---better than yesterday. I have a heart shaped meatloaf in the oven :)
DeleteDear Catwoman - you amaze me with your boundless energy & BTW how hard is it to wriggle into that slinky black suit every day? Not sure about the notch in the ear stuff, our Vet puts a tiny tatoo on the inside of the ear while they are under anaesthesia to denote their newly Infertile status. MOTH worried they might have done the same to him when he had a similar 'operation' a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteMillie xx
Millie ~ the slinky black suit is looking good since I've been running on the treadmill every day! lol :)
DeleteI like the ear tattoo so much better!
the computer shot and the side-by-side shot are hoots!
ReplyDeletearen't they? That side-by-side walk was adorable to see. :)
DeleteSilver, I'll pass. Poor Orson would have a stroke if I brought my crew of boys to your place for supper. :) Oh, and I don't eat organ meat if I can help it human or otherwise. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, that's right. I forgot. I guess you'll never know what -- or whom -- I'm cooking.
DeletePrecious!
ReplyDeleteThey love you!
Wonderful photos - especially the cat at the keyboard. Wonder what they'd call their blog?
