Keeping An Old Resolution

please click to enlarge
When you've mastered a resolution and it's one that you really enjoy, it only makes sense to continue on with it, right? I've always tried to notice beautiful things around me. And the sky, (being so big and all!), is hard not to notice! It's different every day! I love that! Today we had a little bit of everything from ominous dark grey, to rain and heavy winds, to sunshine peaking through huge fluffy clouds. The huge clouds floated overhead, putting on a show to rival any Macy's Day Parade, with big balloon creatures. Then the sky finished off the show with a beautiful red sunset and a clear half moon.
Lovely!

    ReplyDelete
  81. Well, I'm going to take my young, immature, ignorant self off to do some housework. :)

    ReplyDelete
  91. Christine ~ Gloria lives in Chile and it's 90 degrees there. She's swimming and eating homemade mango icecream. Rebecca and I want to fly down and have lunch. You're welcome to join us. :) Although, I think if Silver would sing a duet with Gloria, she'd ditch us in a second for the better offer. lol....in which case, we can just stay here and I'll serve more coffee. hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Pat is missing all the fun.
    Maybe he's on the run!

Singing isn't his cup of tea.
We'll leave that for you three!

    ReplyDelete
  93. Maybe someday I'll write something in a real duet format for us.

    ReplyDelete
  94. No, Pat hasnt shown up yet!
he'll be glad he missed the singing I'll bet.
    ha
Gee...I'm rhyming just at the thought of him.
that will make him laugh and grin!

    ReplyDelete
  95. Oh yeah, Silver? Well, I'm an alto, so don't write my part too high. :)

    ReplyDelete
  96. We'll be like Sonny and Cher. Whenever they hear the higher, more feminine-sounding part... that'll be me, haha!

    ReplyDelete
  97. Silver ~ lol!!!! Aw, too bad I cut my hair! ha.

    ReplyDelete
  98. OK...but I won't look like Cher for a ocuple of years. ha.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Who cares? Long hair or short hair, you already look ten times better than she does anyway!

    ReplyDelete
  100. Aw, thanks. :) Well, you look better than Sonny ever did, too. hahaha.

    ReplyDelete
  101. WOW now that took a while to get through
Although I think the two of you
Must have been back in the stone age
When vinyl was all the rage
    And the record got stuck
As you seemed to repeat the same verse with each pluck
And your weather pics work well today
As you can tell the wind is surely flowing at you bay..LOL
And nope Pat was staring at a cat
Also has a lot of tv to get through at his mat..haha

    ReplyDelete
  102. See, Pat..when you arne't near
people ask why you aren't here!
They miss you at my zoo
now what am I to do?

They asked for Silver tonight, too
I guess they were missing both of you.

    ha.

    ReplyDelete
  103. I stand amazed at the beauty of God's skies, and I stand amazed that you and your camera capture it so beautifully ~ *sigh*

    ReplyDelete
  104. Hmmm I guess I pay the price
    For my rhyming vice
Making all want to see a chear
Does seem to be catching a bit here..haha

    ReplyDelete
  105. I've just starting following your blog and am trying to suss out what times you post. I've gone back and read some of your older posts and I must say, you are one talented lady. What software do you use to create your artwork? Also I'm curious about the camera you're using. The shot of the moon on your banner is fabulous and I'd love to know what lens you used to get that.

    ReplyDelete
  106. Beautiful! Love the moon shot!
    Happy 2012!!
    Hugs
    SueAnn

    ReplyDelete
  107. Beautiful shots as always!! Love the changing skies and that moon is just magical! Take care
    x

    ReplyDelete
  108. ABSOLUTELY!! You do your resolution so well, Betsy! And, we get to enjoy it! Happiest of new years to you and yours ~ tanna

    ReplyDelete
  109. That is truly a wonderful resolution to continue doing each year. Plus we are all the beneficiaries of it. Love the moon pictures but in the second picture I swear it looks like an old granny floating across the sky. We are almost as hot as Gloria with it being in the 80's. I was ready to turn the AC on today. And pictures of a sunny blue sky are pretty boring. Oh well at least I can say that I still have tomatoes growing. That dang plant is almost 4 years old. Pretty soon the stump is going to look like a tree trunk. But I guess the sun shinning is good for growing the produce for a large portion of the country.

Did you know that Chile is the counterpart to California in the Southern Hemisphere? That is why we import so much fruit and produce from them during our winter months. I think Gloria lives in a beautiful place.

Oh and I can remember seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show the first time they were on American TV. Then the next day at school if anyone mentioned their names the girls would start screaming, it was insane, fun and crazy. I do not think there has ever been any thing like it since. Then we would fight over who was the cutest and who had the best smile. Totally nuts for the next few years.

Lots of things I have seen in my lifetime. But for some reason I feel like singing about Puff the Magic Dragon who lived by the sea....oh my.

    God bless.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Hi, Anne~ I recognize you from Pat's blog. :)

I usually post in the early evenings EST, which is quite late for you. I guess my posts would be fresh and waiting when you woke up. ha.

My camera is a Nikon Coolpix P100. I don't have extra lens! I did use the 26x zoom at it's fullest for both moon photos.

My artwork is just me and my colored pencils. Then I crop and add text or whatever with Piknic.

Thanks so much for visiting! :)

    ReplyDelete
