When you've mastered a resolution and it's one that you really enjoy, it only makes sense to continue on with it, right? I've always tried to notice beautiful things around me. And the sky, (being so big and all!), is hard not to notice! It's different every day! I love that! Today we had a little bit of everything from ominous dark grey, to rain and heavy winds, to sunshine peaking through huge fluffy clouds. The huge clouds floated overhead, putting on a show to rival any Macy's Day Parade, with big balloon creatures. Then the sky finished off the show with a beautiful red sunset and a clear half moon.
Lovely!
♥
Oh Betsy I love beauty things too and try too, this look awesome:)
ReplyDeleteThere was no blue sky in my corner of Michigan today, must have just been in Ohio. :)

ReplyDeleteGloria ~ you surely don't get snow ever, right? Maybe only in the mountains?
ReplyDeleteRebecca, ha, maybe, but I learned here all want be first and this make me smile:))

ReplyDeleteWhat delicious food would you make for Betsy and me?
ReplyDeleteNo Partridge Family tonight, Silver? ha.
ReplyDeleteSilver you can sing if you like (lol)
ReplyDeleteBetsy--hee hee you don't want me to fly in my swimsuit?

ReplyDeleteI'm waiting for Silver to sing...........
ReplyDeleteWhy Silver doesn't talk??

ReplyDeleteAwwww he's shy.:)
ReplyDeleteI don't know if Silver will sing...he said the sky didn't inspire him like that partridge did! ha.
ReplyDeletereally? I dont think so:)
ReplyDeleteI think he already left! ha.
ReplyDeleteI'd rather do a duet.
ReplyDeleteWell, Silver...pick a song and I bet Gloria would love to sing with you!
ReplyDeleteBetsy ha,ha,
ReplyDeleteWell, there has to be a song to go with my sky...
ReplyDeleteThere's an aching silence on this blog.
ReplyDeleteI wasn't born when most of the songs y'all would sing were written. :P
and maybe I dont now the lyrics:)
ReplyDeleteWell, I cheat and google the lyrics. Then I cut and paste them! :)
ReplyDeleteOh well, maybe another time. Gloria, you'll have to lure Silver back with a sugar free dessert...
ReplyDeletesmiles....love capturing that beauty betsy....nice pics...and sounds like you had quite a bit of fun today...
ReplyDeletePicture yourself in a boat on a river,
ReplyDeleteWith tangerine trees and marmalade skies.
Somebody calls you, you answer quite slowly,
A girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
ah Betsy sorry but I have to make dinner to the kids and my Mom (yes she asked) wants Pizza, oh boy
ReplyDeleteI knoe Betsy, I made the ice cream sugar free...
ReplyDeleteDears I have to go:) glad to see you:)
Cellophane flowers of yellow and green
ReplyDeleteTowering over your head
Look for the girl with the sun in her eyes
And she's gone
ok gloria...enjoy making pizzas! :)
ReplyDeleteNice chatting with you Gloria!
ReplyDeleteThnaks dears, we talk tomorrow:)
ReplyDeleteBrian ~ I did have a good day...how was the game?
ReplyDeleteOK...bye, Gloria!
ReplyDeleteLucy in the sky with diamonds,
ReplyDeleteLucy in the sky with diamonds,
Lucy in the sky with diamonds,
Ah... Ah...
Follow her down to a bridge by a fountain
ReplyDeleteWhere rocking horse people eat marshmallow pies
Everyone smiles as you drift past the flowers
That grow so incredibly high
(he said a duet...but I think he's in the audience!)
oh well, we'll have to sing alone tonight I guess.
ReplyDeletethat's ok....we make a great duet! ha.
ReplyDeleteNewspaper taxis appear on the shore,
ReplyDeleteWaiting to take you away.
Climb in the back with your head in the clouds,
And you're gone.
Lucy in the sky with diamonds
ReplyDeleteLucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds, ah
Picture yourself on a train in a station,
ReplyDeleteWith plasticine porters with looking glass ties.
Suddenly someone is there at the turnstile,
The girl with kaleidoscope eyes.
Happy New Year! Betsy!
ReplyDeleteLucy in the sky with diamonds
ReplyDeleteLucy in the sky with diamonds
Lucy in the sky with diamonds, ah
Otin, dear...Happy New Year to you, too! This is the year of publication...I can just feel it! xo
ReplyDeleteYou do that chorus very nicely Betsy dear!
ReplyDeleteBlech, I don't think that is one of the better Beatles songs.
Oh, that was fun! lol....I'm SO glad nobody could really hear me. ha. Although, my parakeets sure are skwaking now! ha.
ReplyDeleteBetsy I love beatles and Lucy in the sky but I have to make the pizza:)
ReplyDeleteOK Gloria ~ have fun...bye for now! :) We'll pick another Beatles song some time!
ReplyDeleteOk 'fess up Betsy, did you know all the words?
ReplyDelete'Cause I didn't know any of them due to my age deficit. :)
Sorry I missed the floor show. When's the next set?
ReplyDeleteI didn't know any of the words! And the Beatles were a little before my time, too...well, I was born, but too little to care. ha.
ReplyDeleteHi Silver...you missed the whole song! You pick next time, ok?
ReplyDeleteSilver, you missed it?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteSorry, I was busy posting my new post and dealing with some very important emails.
ReplyDeleteI'm hurt, all that practicing that Betsy and I did.......the rehearsing.........the stress.........the skwaking parakeets. :)
ReplyDeletelol....
ReplyDeleteOK Silver...how about this one...
ReplyDeleteYou'll never know how much I really love you.
You'll never know how much I really care.
Listen,
Do you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell?, whoa oh, oh.
Closer...
Just wait until you have to pay the royalties for using that song! Partridge Family was bad enough, right, Betsy?
ReplyDeletethat's what we had in Pa today along with a bit of rain. I enjoy watching the sky too.
ReplyDeleteum...I just referred them to you! ha.
ReplyDeleteLet me whisper in your ear.
ReplyDeleteSay the words you long to hear...
I'm in love with you.
Woo woo, woo...
(You keep doing this to me, haha!)
Listen,
ReplyDeleteDo you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell?, whoa oh, oh.
Closer,
(but not on purpose!)
Beautiful pics Betsy. I think we have had much the same weather here in KY as well.
ReplyDeleteLet me whisper in your ear,
ReplyDeleteSay the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.
I've known the secret for a week or two,
Nobody knows, just we two.
Yeah, Farmchick...who knows...we might get a whole new season blown in here with all that wind! ha.
ReplyDeleteListen,
ReplyDeleteDo you want to know a secret?,
Do you promise not to tell?, whoa oh, oh.
Closer,
(I know...I keep repeating! ha.)
Rebecca ~ did you know this one?
ReplyDeleteLet me whisper in your ear,
ReplyDeleteSay the words you long to hear,
I'm in love with you.
(There aren't many different lyrics in the song!)
No, but I like it much better!
ReplyDeletelol...ok, that was fun! :) And I knew the lyrics to that one! :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ you should find it on youtube...it's a nice one. :) I have it on my iPod.
ReplyDeleteTo be perfectly honest I'm not a big Beatles fan, but if I had to pick a song I actually kind of like...........I Wanna Hold Your Hand. :)
ReplyDeleteI could probably do one or two by the Beatles that neither one of you would know!
ReplyDeleteBeing older, and all...
ReplyDeleteWell, that's a fun one. We'll do it tomorrow, ok? :) And get Gloria to join in.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I listened to it while you and Silver were dueting. :)
ReplyDeleteMUCH older...
ReplyDeleteAnd wiser, with my years. Much wiser, haha!
ReplyDeletedueting...lol...
ReplyDeleteSilver~ More mature......not older. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca, I like the way you think!
ReplyDeleteI'm sticking with 'older'. (ducks)
ReplyDeleteBetsy just sees me as this tired old man, I guess. *sigh*
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm going to take my young, immature, ignorant self off to do some housework. :)
ReplyDeletehahaha...later, Rebecca. :)
ReplyDeleteI have some important emails to attend to, myself. And I want to get back to them. Very much.
ReplyDeletebye, silver. Blogger might see all this and shut us down...commenters having WAY too much fun. lol...
ReplyDelete"Bye. Talk to you very soon, I'm sure.
ReplyDeletebeautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteWhere am I?
ReplyDeleteChristine ~ hahahahaha....you're in blogland...at myfivemen...someone brought a karaoke machine...and lots of coffee. :)
ReplyDeleteBetsy,
ReplyDeleteI am always uplifted by your photo's and your words. You take GREAT photo's! Thank You For Showing Them To Us!
In Him,
Grace
thanks, Grace! Hey, we were singing and you missed it! Maybe next time! :)
ReplyDeleteYou always notice the most special of life's everyday blessings, thank you for sharing and pointing them out to us,day after day.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a Happy and Healthy New Year my sweet friend !
~Jo
Thank you Jo. But you know, your blog is full of beauty every single day! I love it. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a great way to start the new year...lots of dialogue!
ReplyDeleteChristine ~ Gloria lives in Chile and it's 90 degrees there. She's swimming and eating homemade mango icecream. Rebecca and I want to fly down and have lunch. You're welcome to join us. :) Although, I think if Silver would sing a duet with Gloria, she'd ditch us in a second for the better offer. lol....in which case, we can just stay here and I'll serve more coffee. hahaha.
ReplyDeletePat is missing all the fun.
ReplyDeleteMaybe he's on the run!
Singing isn't his cup of tea.
We'll leave that for you three!
Maybe someday I'll write something in a real duet format for us.
ReplyDeleteNo, Pat hasnt shown up yet!
ReplyDeletehe'll be glad he missed the singing I'll bet.
ha
Gee...I'm rhyming just at the thought of him.
that will make him laugh and grin!
Oh yeah, Silver? Well, I'm an alto, so don't write my part too high. :)
ReplyDeleteWe'll be like Sonny and Cher. Whenever they hear the higher, more feminine-sounding part... that'll be me, haha!
ReplyDeleteSilver ~ lol!!!! Aw, too bad I cut my hair! ha.
ReplyDeleteIt'll grow, doll, it'll grow. :)
ReplyDeleteOK...but I won't look like Cher for a ocuple of years. ha.
ReplyDeleteWho cares? Long hair or short hair, you already look ten times better than she does anyway!
ReplyDeleteAw, thanks. :) Well, you look better than Sonny ever did, too. hahaha.
ReplyDeleteAw, that's sweet.
ReplyDeleteWOW now that took a while to get through
ReplyDeleteAlthough I think the two of you
Must have been back in the stone age
When vinyl was all the rage
And the record got stuck
As you seemed to repeat the same verse with each pluck
And your weather pics work well today
As you can tell the wind is surely flowing at you bay..LOL
And nope Pat was staring at a cat
Also has a lot of tv to get through at his mat..haha
See, Pat..when you arne't near
ReplyDeletepeople ask why you aren't here!
They miss you at my zoo
now what am I to do?
They asked for Silver tonight, too
I guess they were missing both of you.
ha.
I stand amazed at the beauty of God's skies, and I stand amazed that you and your camera capture it so beautifully ~ *sigh*
ReplyDeleteHmmm I guess I pay the price
ReplyDeleteFor my rhyming vice
Making all want to see a chear
Does seem to be catching a bit here..haha
Happy NEW Year!
ReplyDeleteI've just starting following your blog and am trying to suss out what times you post. I've gone back and read some of your older posts and I must say, you are one talented lady. What software do you use to create your artwork? Also I'm curious about the camera you're using. The shot of the moon on your banner is fabulous and I'd love to know what lens you used to get that.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Love the moon shot!
ReplyDeleteHappy 2012!!
Hugs
SueAnn
Beautiful shots as always!! Love the changing skies and that moon is just magical! Take care
ReplyDeletex
ABSOLUTELY!! You do your resolution so well, Betsy! And, we get to enjoy it! Happiest of new years to you and yours ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteThat is truly a wonderful resolution to continue doing each year. Plus we are all the beneficiaries of it. Love the moon pictures but in the second picture I swear it looks like an old granny floating across the sky. We are almost as hot as Gloria with it being in the 80's. I was ready to turn the AC on today. And pictures of a sunny blue sky are pretty boring. Oh well at least I can say that I still have tomatoes growing. That dang plant is almost 4 years old. Pretty soon the stump is going to look like a tree trunk. But I guess the sun shinning is good for growing the produce for a large portion of the country.
ReplyDeleteDid you know that Chile is the counterpart to California in the Southern Hemisphere? That is why we import so much fruit and produce from them during our winter months. I think Gloria lives in a beautiful place.
Oh and I can remember seeing the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show the first time they were on American TV. Then the next day at school if anyone mentioned their names the girls would start screaming, it was insane, fun and crazy. I do not think there has ever been any thing like it since. Then we would fight over who was the cutest and who had the best smile. Totally nuts for the next few years.
Lots of things I have seen in my lifetime. But for some reason I feel like singing about Puff the Magic Dragon who lived by the sea....oh my.
God bless.
Hi, Anne~ I recognize you from Pat's blog. :)
ReplyDeleteI usually post in the early evenings EST, which is quite late for you. I guess my posts would be fresh and waiting when you woke up. ha.
My camera is a Nikon Coolpix P100. I don't have extra lens! I did use the 26x zoom at it's fullest for both moon photos.
My artwork is just me and my colored pencils. Then I crop and add text or whatever with Piknic.
Thanks so much for visiting! :)
Thanks, Mrs. U ~ you have a gift of leaving long, thoughtful comments. I just love that. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures! we definitely have to continue resolutions that make us feel good. And taking time to notice and enjoy the beautiful things around us is a wonderful resolution and so easy to do!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images and resolution.;) Happy New Year dear Betsy and I love all those exchanges in the comment section - you guys should get Skype, hihi.;))
