beautiful photos, we have just had a big storm go through and it was a doozy, high winds and lots of snow, I like the look of your calm shots, the spruce tree with snow is lovely! beautiful kitty, I had a boy cat, Louie and he had socks just like that,,he walks as a ghost cat now, I miss him,
You have crappy snow Down there in Ohio Please keep it down there It isn't wanted at my lair But socks looks to be having quite a bit of fun With no sun Did the rest go and hide With their eyes all big and wide
laurie ~ ghost cats...I see my two out of the corner of my eye ALL the time! I swear they are still here...and always a bit disappointed when I turn and can't see them!
Socks had two siblings playing, too. their pics just got cut out of the photo shoot! ha. They had fun and we had fun watching. Then 6 of the 9 came inside for a bit to warm up and cause the parakeets a fit. lol...
I like the top photo--caught Socks mid-action. Wanted to take some pics of our neighbors pond in the snow, but I was stuck in the house doing paperwork. :(
Christine ~ I did have 6 inside! Nugget was asleep in the back under a bed and the parakeets are safe in their cage. They stayed about 30 minutes and then went back out. Everyone was obedient and went back out except Marmalade, who had to be tricked with a piece of ham, caught, and carried back out. lol...
I had a cat that was like that too. He was from the first litter and he "mothered" the babies in the second litter even tho he was still just a baby himself. :)
The arctic chill is sweeping into our area. It will be interesting to see how much snow we get tonight. Lots of wind = lots of Black Walnut branches in the yard.
Six of nine running around That must have been quite the sight at your mound Sure the parakeets were having quite the fit Nugget must have thought he fell into a kitty pit
Ooh magical ! We've had a few snow showers today, with cold, cold wind...brrrr. What a sweet kitty, and quite plump I might add, from all of your faithful feedings.. Hugs, ~Jo
Cardamom powder is like vanilla in India, they use a lot. I have a lot of desserts and the coffe with cardamom is nice, betsy I ago Im so tired to day, by
The first snow is always the best one. It's so clean and pretty. The camera loves Socks. I had a cat that looked so much like Socks years ago, his name was Pooney. I love that macro of the evergreen tree, the needles seem to come right out of the picture and the snow looks like I could blow on it and watch it dance off.

Anne ~ I completely agree...the first snow, before anyone steps on or drives through it is the best. After the winds died down, it was amazing...and I got that last shot. It should stay around a while, too since it's so cold!
nice drove back in it through the night...a harrowing trip the boys slept through...and then could not understand why we were tired...smiles...better than being stuck in 1-2 feet of lake effect snow you know...it snowed a bit here this afternoon...our new kit was having fun with it as well...
It is funny how you are talking about snow and out here we were running our AC today. A hot winter day for us here. Not good for the snow in our mountains, which they need the snow for a good snow season. It would be nice to have one day of snow. Not sure our animals would know what it is. Oh well., Socks looks so cute playing in it.
i love the evergreen in the snow photo - you lucky girl - i need some snow out here on the east coast! what fun is winter without SNOW! Great pics of the cat, too!
First with the burst!

ReplyDeleteI like winter, and don't mind the rain, but grey cloudy weather makes me depressed. That's why I like the snow--it brightens everything.
