We have quite a few Cardinal couples around our place. With the snow on the ground and on the trees they really add some 'pop' to the landscape! I took some pictures of them today as well :)
Oh, he is a cute cat, Rebecca. I have a thing for grey ones. Our second litter had two grey ones and we call them Grey and Charcoal. ha. Pink noses. Won't let me pet them yet.
I'd put up with the drooling, too...he's so pretty!!
Silver, I know, I just enjoy picking at you....but IF the Lone Ranger was sighted anywhere on my property I would have to take pictures, and if I took pictures I would have to blog about them. :)
haha maybe the head tilt is because he thinks you're strange For having so many kitties at your range Making him always be on his guard As he travels across the yard
Pat yep, strange and a bit deranged. I told some one about the 9 cats on my porch and I thought they were going to loose their lunch. Should have told them about your Nana up there then I wouldn't seem so strange down here! ha.
I love it that he calls you Doll! He reminds me of that Andy Griffith episode when Andy and Barney meet the "Fun Girls" Skippy and Daphne. Daphne was the one who always greeted Andy with a "hello Doll!."
Betsy, I don't think I've ever commented before but read your blog everyday and love it. I have a 20 year old son with Aspergers so I love reading about your boys. Oh, and I also have sisters who are triplets!I just had to chime in now because my two cats also drool when they're being petted or kneading. I thought they were the only ones!!
Hi, Dawn! I'm so glad you commented. I love to meet other bloggers and know that they read. And most of all, I can come and visit you, too. Sounds like your cat and Rebecca's would get along well. haha. Triplet sisters...oh my. :) Thanks for stopping by today.
Is so cute Betsy!!
ReplyDeleteYou seem to bring out the flirty side in a lot of people... and birds, too, I guess!
ReplyDeleteAnd I make a new post!! finally! I cant all these days.
ReplyDeleteLove the colour of this bird Betsy!
Gloria ~ and you're first, too! I'll come over and read your post!
ReplyDeleteSilver ~ reminds me of another handsome masked man. ha.
Yes Betsy I think this is special for Silver cause he always said you DOLL and always flirt all the time didnt?
ReplyDeleteNow I see the bird say doll:)
We have birds like this here:)
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ well, it did remind me of him a little. But Silver doesn't ask me what time dinner is all the time and peek in my windows..thankfully. lol.
ReplyDeleteBut maybe this bird asked you coffe (lol)
ReplyDeleteI don't need to peek. I have cameras set up.
ReplyDeleteGloria ~ coffee? haha...I wouldn't be surprised with how cold it is outside! But he seems happy with the seed for now. ha.
ReplyDeleteSilver you really loves cameras
ReplyDeleteOnly if they're not aimed at me, Gloria. Haha!
ReplyDeleteGasp, you mean Silver is really a cardinal, and not a fox?
ReplyDeletelol...watch out, guys. Rebecca is here...full of strong coffee and relaxed from girl talk. ;)
ReplyDeleteWell, I was just thinking that if he is a cardinal posing as a fox--he might sneak in my chicken coop, and I wouldn't notice him. hmmmmm. :)
ReplyDeleteGood point...better watch out for all of those birds with masks!
ReplyDeleteI'll have to tighten down the security on the chicken coop. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ want a few cats? I have extra. ha.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, guess what I dug out of storage and put on the kitchen counter. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ haha...lava lamp? Ooooh..fun...is it still heating up?
ReplyDeleteoh so cute,
ReplyDeleteWell, I have one cat, but he's not very fierce. If you pet him he drools on you. :)
ReplyDeleteNo a sweet drooling cat will not do. You need a wild cat raised on fresh bird...like any of my nine. haha.
ReplyDeleteNo, I started it before I left for my coffee date, and it was bubbling away when I got home. My two year old is mesmerized.
ReplyDeleteWe have quite a few Cardinal couples around our place. With the snow on the ground and on the trees they really add some 'pop' to the landscape! I took some pictures of them today as well :)
ReplyDeleteI wear lots of masks. I can be a fox, a bird, Batman, The Lone Ranger...
ReplyDeleteBut I'm not going after any chickens.
Rebecca ~ oh, how cute. What color is it?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure why he drools, but it makes him look a little simple. :)
ReplyDeleteNice, Martha. This male has two females with him. They really are easy to see!
ReplyDeleteThe water is blue, and the wax is white.
ReplyDeleteSilver, I would notice if the Lone Ranger was sneaking around my chicken coop. :)
Pat's cat drools, too! That is hilarious.
ReplyDeleteFunny!!! I love him anyway, but if you want to pet him too much you should have a towel handy. :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ what's his name? Maybe he'd wear a bib. ha. Or a kerchief would be more stylish.
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of coffee did you have?
Gloria ~ did gerardo get home yet?
The cat's name is KC. I'll have to try a bib.
ReplyDeleteI had regular coffee with hazlenut creamer, and whipped cream with heath bar crumbles on top. :)
Here's a post about Kasey, or KC. :)

Oh my...that coffee sounds SO good. Mmmmm.
ReplyDeleteIt was VERY good. My hubby says whipped cream does NOT belong on coffee--I disagree. :)
ReplyDeleteOh, he is a cute cat, Rebecca. I have a thing for grey ones. Our second litter had two grey ones and we call them Grey and Charcoal. ha. Pink noses. Won't let me pet them yet.

Rebecca, your chickens are safe from any version of me.
ReplyDeleteOh no, it's great in coffee. ha. So are toffee chips. :)
ReplyDeleteSilver, I know, I just enjoy picking at you....but IF the Lone Ranger was sighted anywhere on my property I would have to take pictures, and if I took pictures I would have to blog about them. :)

How does the Mister feel about this flirting, HaHa? What a darling photo. Know wonder you love birds.
ReplyDeleteI guess I don't "KNOW" how to spell "NO"....
ReplyDeleteWanda ~ He doesn't seem to mind the birds, but I think The Mister is a little jealous of the kittens! lol...
ReplyDeletehaha yeah I seen many give that reaction too
ReplyDeleteWhen I told them how many in that other place make up the kitty crew
wow who's the pretty bird...smiles...
ReplyDeleteHe's a doll. And isn't it nice to have something so colourful to look at in the dead of winter.
ReplyDeleteAnne ~ he really is sweet. His personality shines right through. His red coat just pops against all the white, too!
ReplyDeleteHe IS a charmer!! Beautiful photograph, Betsy!! blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeleteAmazing blog. Followed
ReplyDeleteI love colorful birds
ReplyDeleteBest regards from France,
ReplyDeletePierre

ReplyDeleteOh, too bad, Julie..they are very common here! So pretty against the snow!
ReplyDeleteOh, he is SUPER cute. I know you feed him!
ReplyDeleteVery cute love his head tilt.
ReplyDeleteI love it that he calls you Doll! He reminds me of that Andy Griffith episode when Andy and Barney meet the "Fun Girls" Skippy and Daphne. Daphne was the one who always greeted Andy with a "hello Doll!."

ReplyDeleteDawn ~ no blog? Let me know if you start one. I'd love to follow and read! :)
ReplyDeleteNo, no blog. But will let you know if that ever changes.
ReplyDeleteYour photographs are gorgeous! I love cardinals - both the male and female are so pretty against the bare winter branches and snow.
