What I Did Wednesday #13

  1. Enjoyed probably the last of the color as the winds have removed a lot of the leaves!
  2. Did a neighborhood mailing for the Leukemia Society. I said yes once and now all the societies call me. But I don't really mind. It only takes a few minutes.
  3. Refilled my coffee bean canister.
  4. Watched the rain.
  5. Put pennies in my new loafers. Bass Weejuns. Now that takes me back to my college days!
  6. Peeked out this morning at three cats sleeping in the chair on the porch. Then noticed the little lifeless furry gift they brought me. Gee, thanks, guys! Actually, I am thankful that it didn't get into the house!
  7. Cleaned off my desk. What a mess it was!
  8. Found Marmalade in the kitchen! Um, how in the heck did you get into the house? Nugget and Marmy had to sniff each other before he would go back outside. Funny thing was, Nugget approached Marmy!
  9. Started filling my Operation Christmas Child box.
  10. Chatted with Harry for a few minutes. Or should I say Chatted at Harry. ha.
  11. Wrote a few notes for snail mail.
  12. Sharpened some new colored pencils.
  13. Made myself some lunch.
  14. Noted dark grey skies and gold leaves. Lovely!

An extra quiet day here today, but still beautifully ordinary.
Hope your Wednesday has been wonderful, too!

  13. You must have chatted something nice! Harry looks pretty pleased with you. :) I haven't had a pair of penny loafers since I was 10. I remember them being very comfy tho--maybe I should get a pair again.

  15. jenny ~ good thing I'm not squeamish. I just scooped him up in a tissue and gave him a burial in the garbage can. ha. (and then took the trash OUT to the garage. :) And then washed my hands. lol...

  16. Do you list your things consecutively? If so, I noticed you talked to Harry before you ate lunch. Either he was off school or you had a VERY busy morning!

  17. I was wondering about the cat...
maybe one of the boys let the cat in? Nice Nugget & Marmy get along. 8~)
    Take care,

  20. haha see I told you so
Nugget and the kitties would get along just fine at your show
Just needed to get used to the idea
    Of sharing your umm galleria
I knew Orlin should not have snuck down and showed him how to open doors
Now you'll have them all going across your floors..haha
    Messy desks too
    Shame on you
    And presents at your feet
Suppose it's better than indoors hearing a squeaky beat

  21. I enjoy reading about your day and the way you present all the photos. My Wednesday was quiet, I shuttled my 15-year old grandson Charlie a few times ... when he kisses my cheek with that stubbly face of his, my heart melts! All in all, perfect day.

  22. Pat ~ oh, I should have known
Ir was Orlin teaching them how to get in alone!
The desk is now nice and neat
and no mice are laying at my feet.
    I'm up to page 51
and as I'm reading I'm having fun!

  24. I really enjoy your Wednesday posts. I try to guess what the pictures mean and see how close I get to your list. Also, by the look on his face, I think you were talking with Harry today. He looks completely engaged with you. :)

  28. Your day seemed peaceful and relaxing. So glad that Nugget and Marmalade got along. Years ago our one cat, now deceased, got along very well with the guinea pigs that the girls had. One of our cats today would probably be the same way but the other one would think they were dinner. Just different personalities.

Breakfast for lunch or dinner is great. Brunch or Brinner, kids love them.

    God bless.

  29. I love your pictorial days! Do you know why pennies go in loafers like that? Not a trick question, I have no idea and was wondering if you did. :)

  30. Mrs U ~ I was right there protecting Nugget! ha. After you told me about your experience, I don't trust the cats with him at all. But this meet and greet went well. I'm sure he still thought Nugget smelled tasty.

  31. BPG ~ I have no idea, but I'll find out! It would make a great post!

  32. Busy day!...Penny loafers take me back too! :-)

  33. A cat in the kitchen = a cat in the living room = a cat purring softly in your bed at night. LOL!

  34. Anita ~ lol...but you forgot one! Ack...that's a lot of cats inside! Am I fighting an inevitable tide? lol...

  35. I love your Wednesdays! And the kitties bringing you gifts are to thank you for loving them. :) Still, yuck! lol

  37. I always enjoy it when you do this too...and always love reading your sidebar of what you're doing. You are an amazing lady! To give you a few things on 'my list'...my granddaughters and I put together 11 shoeboxes for OCC (I'm in charge of the ministry at our church) and also...unplanned, of course, I hit a deer on the road last night! She went flippin' and flyin'...YIKES! Didn't hurt the engine or lights, but we definitely need a new hood. Thankful for big and small blessings...and for the gift of you. XO

  38. Marsha ~ 11 boxes? Oh, that's great! I bought the stuff for mine today and enjoyed putting it together!

Glad you weren't hurt hitting the deer! Our Taylor totalled his car hitting one a few years ago. Ugh.
