Look nice Betsy, I love it! gloria
ReplyDeleteNow that was an interesting choice for the acrostic!
ReplyDeletewow you took the hard way with this one using the scientific name...nice acrostic betsy!
ReplyDeleteI like the shape of your gourd in the drawing. True to the shape of a real one on the vine.
ReplyDeleteSilver ~ I couldn't get a good acrostic to fit 'gourd'! :)
ReplyDeleteGreat-looking,
ReplyDeleteOtherwise
Useless, with
Rare
Deviations from that statement!
Thoughts? ;-)
Um...yep, this ranks right up there with that pome you wrote. :) You're in a class all by yourself, I'm telling you!
ReplyDeleteHey, whattya want? I composed the darned thing right after reading your comment!
ReplyDeleteAnd did I mention, I really like that new avatar shot?
ReplyDeleteI think Silver is just all pomed out
ReplyDeleteOr he just doesn't want to get shrinked again and pout..haha
Geez going all big words too
How fun of you
Eating flesh just has a ring to it wouldn't you say?
Oh that could go the wrong way..haha
@Pat: Gee, Pat, that acrostic was a pome! Just not a rhyming pome. Don't start picking & choosing and going all Peacock on us, dude, haha!
ReplyDeletePat ~ eating flesh...like Mothman shadow things? ;)
ReplyDeleteactually silver ~ I didn't get the 'otherwise useless other than good looking'. Think of maracas, birdhouses, loofa sponges, bowls, drums, banjos, pumpkin pie, cucmbers, pickles, and canteloupe! :)
ReplyDeleteMust I? (ducks)
ReplyDeleteIf I kick, ducking won't help.
ReplyDeleteLearned a new word today!!! Wow, that's a long one and I'm not sure I could pronounce it. ;) blessings ~ tanna
ReplyDeletehaha a peacock never
ReplyDeleteI'm far to clever
Yes those mothman things are scary
And so black you can't tell if they are hairy
I'm sure they'd care for some leftovers too
That part is more than true
Got to love the gourd.
ReplyDeleteAmazing! And incredibly clever!!

I might have said the same as SF that a gourd was a useless plant other than as a decoration, but now that I know so much about a gourd, I realize now that they are such a wonderful plant.
ReplyDeleteCan we even wonder how many gourds have fed so many people in the world. I think in Central and South America they are still a very important plant. But then again we seem to have a lot of them up here. Spaghetti squash is really good but I also like Acorn and Butternut squash just as much.
I don't know why but I was thinking how good acorn squash is with brown sugar on it and maybe that is the ingredient I miss when I make Butternut Squash Soup. I am still looking for a recipe for it and goodness there are so many. Someday, maybe someone will share it.
That was a great acrostic for an interesting subject for this weeks Theme Thursday. Thanks again for playing.
God bless.
I like the drawing very much.
ReplyDeletegourdeous!!
ReplyDeletekim ~ haha! If there was a comment award, you would get it! :)
