Mrs. Woodpecker

Mrs. Woodpecker in my backyard 11-27-11
Even the woodpecker owes his success to the fact that he uses his head
and keeps pecking away until he finishes the job he starts .

  10. Betsy, that's actually Mrs. Woodpecker. What you have there is a female Downy Woodpecker; gthe males have a red patch on the head while females are just black & white. Nice shot, though!

  33. Hello, Please allow me to introduce myself...I am Grace.

Thank you for posting your blog for the world to read; it is very encouraging.

One of the cousins in our extended family is autistic and for over two decades now I have watched in wonder at the struggles associated with just ONE special needs child.

The Lord Must Have Brought You, Your Spouse & Your whole family through an amazing faith journey.

    You are such an inspiration.

Love the woodpecker photo and the quote you selected is just perfect...it fits. The Woodpecker is pretty much single-minded in his pursuit of the prize. (I suspect that there is a scriptural application there somewhere)

    Keep on Posting!

    In Him,
    Grace

May God hold you in the palm of his hand...lift you, cover you, and carry you through all that must be done. AMEN!

    In Him,
    GRACE
