One of the favorite things about my little home business is when I get to do special orders for people I know. Our next door neighbors of 23 years celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this week. They were married the week I was born! :) They are also Jill's parents! Jill was nice enough to ask me to bake the cake for their celebration. It was so fun! Moist white cake with butter cream frosting. Candy pearls and gold dust were the finishing touches. If you want to see their 1961 wedding photos, click on Jill's name for the embedded link.
Happy Anniversary Mitch and Mary!
♥

ReplyDeleteThanks, Pat! There was enough batter and frosting left over to make 6 cupcakes, so I did get to sample them. Yum!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty cake. Now I am hungry all over again. Are you sharing? Are Mitch and Mary sharing?
ReplyDeleteVery lovely and classic. I'm really bad at cake decorating, so I admire the talent for sure.

Mitch and Mary will be pleased.
Damn! You know me and food.
ReplyDeleteBut to say anything else would be rude.
You did a really good job on that
Wow very impressive to the cat
They should definitely find that all nice and sweet
Looks too good to even eat
Not that, that would ever be done by Pat anyway
But that is sure quite the display
Well, thanks very much, Pat.
ReplyDeleteIt took a lot for you to say that!
Such nice things about food
you must be trying to be good.
Orlin might give it a lick
and then I'd have to give a kick.
lol...
no, I could never
or would I ever.
ha.
haha yeah he prob would give it a lick
ReplyDeleteBut if he saw you and you weren't as still as a brick
He'd leap five feet in the air(no joke)
And be off before you could touch a hair
Of course he'd knock everything else over in is wake
So better never to let him near your cake
Pat ~ five feet in the air, oh my!
ReplyDeleteWe'd be looking at each other eye to eye!
I guess I wouldn't mind that
as long as I didn't get a scratch
And just so he didn't land on the cake
then my head I'd have to shake.
how very cool to get to be a part of that...a beautiful thing...and your cake fits that as well...
ReplyDeleteGreat cake,
ReplyDeleteCongratulations !
How did it taste ?
Regards from France,
Have a sweet sunday Betsy,
Pierre
