A couple of my blog friends posted recently where
their computers are and where they blog! I thought
I'd join in, especially this week as I've just painted
my desk and chair. This is actually a breakfast
nook in our kitchen and it's the perfect spot for
this stay-at-home mom that runs a little business
out of the home, too. I can stir the spaghetti
sauce and email almost simultaneously! ha.
This is where I have my second cup of coffee each
morning. The first one is while I'm still in bed, you know!
I check my email and I check in on you! :)
girlie power tools, wood glue, wood filler and spray
paint. The back was broken and the fabric needed to be
replaced. There were 6 layers of fabric on the seat!
healthier, right? ha. I can't seem to get enough of
them this summer. They are extra sweet and juicy.
or a laptop that you carry where ever you want?
♥♥♥♥♥♥
You know how the saying goes...
"I love my computer, because all
of my friends live in it!"
I wish that was my space. It looks bright and so nice. I have to get up run to kitchen and come back. Love the chair. Decorative back is neat.
ReplyDeleteOh what a fabulous spot. It looks so bright and cheery and I love all the work space and the windows. Such a delight. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteMarty ~ I do like all the light..and the windows let me see my bird feeder! :)
ReplyDeleteOh my thats gorgeous Betsy.Soo adorable.I have actually an ikea table I got rid of my desk.I covered the table with a little bit of lacy and put on it a few of my favorite little things. It used to be a sewing room, not mine but the woman before me,lol. Its little but not tiny,it has a precious window and the walls are dark as I painted them myself a kind of cinnamon color.Everything in the room is light to go with the darkish walls.
ReplyDeleteBut I must say this is adorable. You should have a sweet area like this since you have 5 men, lol.God Bless Betsy!
I want a sweet spot like that! I have a corner of my couch by a window, with the end table for my coffee or diet pop and my lap top!!! I want a spot like yours...so bright and cheery for sure.
ReplyDeleteBecky ~ that sounds beautiful. I love dark walls! You should post pictures!
ReplyDeletelol betsy,Since I saw yours this looks drab haha. But maybe I will.
ReplyDeleteDark walls aren't drab...they're cozy! LOL!
ReplyDeletethat is such a charming spot....
ReplyDeletei have mine on my lap...i am on the couch with Teddy sitting behind me on my shoulder...
he loves to visit everybody too...
and i love the saying...
sending love,
kary and teddy
I would have to do a little straightening to show you where I blog. I was in the dining room in front of a large window looking out to the garden, but my wife lovingly hinted she would like to use the new dining room table. I will shoot some pics eventually and share. Your area is so nice. You have such nice taste in things and they are so pretty and light and project a great place to be.
ReplyDeleteLOL...cute! I love that you made the breakfast nook into an office area, look real nice. I sit at a desk in the corner of our library..looking out 3 big windows at the fields full of cows and sheep, and the Boulder Mountain rises up above it all. :D
ReplyDeleteLD ~ oh, you don't have to straighten up! LOL! Cluttered spaces mean imaginative minds, right? :)
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to picture you sitting at this desk working away ... I would choose sweet cherries too! Thank you so much for checking in on me ~ I won't return to Living Boldly for a few more weeks, but can't resist the lure of the poem ~ Poetry Matters. Give your men a wink from this Oregon woman!
ReplyDeletePerfect place to relax and blog. I love all the windows!
ReplyDeletexoxo
Jane
nice. been munching grapes off our vine...would love some cherries though...nice little nook...i have a tv tray by the window...lol
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful nook! I must say mine is rather ugly in comparison, but you are right, it's the friends in my computer that I love.
ReplyDeleteWish I had room in my kitchen, as that is the brightest, cheeriest room in the house.
Your cherries and other little nick nacks just speak of you!!
I have always LOVED the way you surround yourself with beautiful things Betsy! This little nook is FRESH and energizing...I LOVE IT!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely space you have to compute. I'm now inspired to fix up my little corner.
ReplyDeleteSo . . . now when I read "Snacking on ~ bing cherries", I can picture it.
Hah! I love that quote, never heard it before! Your bloggy spot is perfect... of course, I love all the natural light! I would love to have a little nook like that tucked into the kitchen.
ReplyDeleteI blog next to a window in our study which is attached to the kitchen. Sometimes I use the laptop in the living room but usually it's the desktop in the study, I like the big screen for viewing photos.
Corners ~ exactly! and I'm spitting the pits in the wastecan under the desk! LOL!
ReplyDeleteMy main computer has been on a desk in the kitchen for many years. Yes, it's great to be able to surf the Web and cook at the same time! I also got a sleek notebook for Christmas, which I mainly use in the evening when I'm sitting on the couch in the family room.
ReplyDeleteKathy G ~ oh, those little notebooks are adorable! Lucky you!
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing us where you blog (work). It's almost like being in a tree house. And the windows look like they are from a church.
ReplyDeleteIt's always fun to peek into each others spaces.
Christine ~ It is nice, isn't it? Kind of along the same lines as seeing the person's picture..I like to put a face with a name..especially when I know so much about them and 'talk' every day!
ReplyDeleteI like your spot. I have to share my spot with my husband and it collects a lot of rather unsightly clutter and is rather chilly in the winter. But, I guess it is a cozy little spot just the same. I can see my family in the next room and listen to their videos and DVD's at the same time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful spot you have to blog!!! I am very thankful that you spend the time to check in with me:-)
ReplyDeleteNo wonder you are so inspiring...what a beautiful set up you have. You might have just inspired me to do a little fix up here too. And I love that saying too. Perfect! It's fun to have a picture in my mind as I read your posts. Now I have a craving for cherries too.
ReplyDeletesweet!
ReplyDeletebright and light - just like you and your blog!
what a fun exercise/meme - with a desktop pc i'm anchored to a 2nd floor bdroom to blog....the room is our 'office' and it's warm and cozy... definitely warm this summer
You have the most beautiful things surrounding you. What a lovely space to blog. I would be looking out those windows all the time.
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming spot. No wonder your posts are always so good to read. Good light, good space and a tidy desk!
ReplyDeleteAh, your space looks like heaven. You have it all, natural light, gorgeous windows and the beautiful decorations. I'm afraid you wouldn't want to see where my computer is since it's in the basement. Sometimes I feel like a mole. But the next house will have natural light!
ReplyDeleteJanelle ~ a mole hole...haha...you are TOO cute! Yes, the next house...can't wait until you move and let us see it! :)
ReplyDeleteHow inspiring, Betsy! I want to blog at your desk!!! I currently blog at my husband's desk...not nearly as inspiring..haha Because he currently has his main office in our home, I sort of *lost* my dibs on the computer. Although it's nice having plenty of writing space at my desk.
ReplyDeleteMy goodness... I feel refreshed just looking at these cheery pictures of your computer area. How beautiful!!
ReplyDelete:) The Bach
Love that space and the windows—airy and sunny. I think it probably matches your outlook on life.
ReplyDeleteMy computer space faces a wall with a wonderful watercolor of a foggy Maine day and a collage of "terrific famous and should have been famous women" —artists, musicians, dancers, writers and pioneers."
A bowl of cherries to nibble sounds perfect. They have been delectable.
Linda
word-painting ~ well, your little spot sounds wonderful! I'd love to see the painting of foggy Maine!
ReplyDeleteYour trio of windows are beautiful! I really like the shape at the top and the blue design in the middle. Your space looks very cool and calm.
ReplyDeleteOh, I want to come and live in your house! It looks so neat and pretty and clean. I wouldn't dare post a picture of my office - too untidy... and that's even after spending several days de-cluttering last week!
ReplyDeleteThose windows are very pretty. They almost look like something you would see in a church the way they have the pointed arch at the top.
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous spot you've made!
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful location to blog from! I have a laptop, so it is usually in the kitchen or at my chair in the living room1
ReplyDeleteI lurve your little nook in the kitchen and those windows are beautiful!!!! Now about those cherries... hmmm, I'm thinking M&M's. ha ha
ReplyDeletethis is a really pretty spot ...I am happy to see the chair redone...another talent you have Betsy
ReplyDeleteserenity - that's what I thought when I saw your place, very lovely :-)
ReplyDeleteBetsy-
ReplyDeleteYour computer area is surely a reflection of you -it makes you wish you could pull your shoes off, tuck your legs underneath you and drink tea or coffee and spend a bunch of time with you! You have a gift! Thanks for sharing it with all of us!
Be blessed!
Lorie ~ thank you! That's exactly what I do...tuck myself in there with a cup of coffee and enjoy all of you! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your space where you create your blogs. What a pretty space, right near the windows. It must be very inspirational...as your blogs are all so wonderful and inspiring!
