Keeping Cool

We've been eating lots of ice cream this summer!
It's the tastiest way to stay cool!
Even better when topped with hot fudge!
Hot Fudge Sauce
1 cup quality chocolate chips (60% cacao)
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 T butter
2 T water
1 t pure vanilla extract
Melt first four ingredients over low heat in sauce pan.
Stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Let cool to room temperature before spooning
over ice cream.
Enjoy!

  2. Oh that sounds so good! I usually have those ingredients in the pantry! Will give that a try. Your photo's make me want to stick my finger in that bowl.

Guess I go get a Klondike out of the freezer and pretend.

  3. We just had hot fudge and raspberry sundaes...unfortunately with store bought fudge. The recipe sounds like one of my favorites...let the cravings begin. I've gained 5 pounds through blogging.

  4. Ice cream is my weakness. And it's even better with the sauce. Why didn't you call me first?

  5. You had me at the picture.

Why cool to room temperature before spooning over the ice cream? I wouldn't wait. ;) And with an entire can of Eagle Brand...ahhhhh...

Ice cream is a food group at our house. This would be perfect since chocolate is too.

  8. Isobel and I have been downing large quantities of ice cream recently - as you say it is a wonderful way to keep cool. We have a favourite ice cream factory - a farm way on the top of the hills where you can sit at a table surrounded by the dairy cows and look down on the surrounding towns.

  9. Eagle Brand....my weakness...it's hard for me to use a can in a recipe cause i tend to taste a big portion of it before adding it/ha
