It's the tastiest way to stay cool!
Even better when topped with hot fudge!
1 cup quality chocolate chips (60% cacao)
1 can Eagle Brand Sweetened Condensed Milk
2 T butter
2 T water
1 t pure vanilla extract
Melt first four ingredients over low heat in sauce pan.
Stir until smooth. Stir in vanilla.
Let cool to room temperature before spooning
over ice cream.
Enjoy!
oh betsy...i want some! we have ice cream just a bit ago, but alas no chocolate sauce...
ReplyDeleteOh that sounds so good! I usually have those ingredients in the pantry! Will give that a try. Your photo's make me want to stick my finger in that bowl.
ReplyDeleteGuess I go get a Klondike out of the freezer and pretend.
We just had hot fudge and raspberry sundaes...unfortunately with store bought fudge. The recipe sounds like one of my favorites...let the cravings begin. I've gained 5 pounds through blogging.
ReplyDeleteIce cream is my weakness. And it's even better with the sauce. Why didn't you call me first?
ReplyDeleteYou had me at the picture.
ReplyDeleteWhy cool to room temperature before spooning over the ice cream? I wouldn't wait. ;) And with an entire can of Eagle Brand...ahhhhh...
Ice cream is a food group at our house. This would be perfect since chocolate is too.
Thanks, this looks easy and so yummy! One can never have enough! :D
ReplyDeleteSounds and looks delicious. You're killing me.
ReplyDeleteIsobel and I have been downing large quantities of ice cream recently - as you say it is a wonderful way to keep cool. We have a favourite ice cream factory - a farm way on the top of the hills where you can sit at a table surrounded by the dairy cows and look down on the surrounding towns.
ReplyDeleteEagle Brand....my weakness...it's hard for me to use a can in a recipe cause i tend to taste a big portion of it before adding it/ha
ReplyDeleteTFS! Will give this a try.
ReplyDeleteMy mom made hot fudge for sundae's on Sunday! Delicious! SO MUCH better than store bought! OF COURSE!
ReplyDeleteI have not made homemade hot fudge in many years. I am going to have to give your recipe a try!! Looks fabulous! Do your boys love icecream as much as they love chips??;-)
ReplyDeleteSounds great. I think I'll whip some up for myself!
ReplyDelete(You really are trying to kill me, aren't you, doll?)
yum! I'll be right over.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you keep cool. I'm eating watermelon right now.
ReplyDelete[Silver Fox re-reads post and ends up in diabetic coma.]
