seeds looked like parachutes!
So my drawing is the perfect entry for
Mr. Toast's Creative Tuesday with the
theme of travel....well, in a sort of
backward, original kind of way. ;)

OMG, I'm the very first one to comment! I'd better say something really profound, because dozens of people will see this!
ReplyDeleteUhhh...
"Dandelion" was a great song by the early Rolling Stones, and... and...
Damn. I got nothin'.
They look like fairy chickens, I don't know why!
ReplyDeleteClever little parachutes... I thinking they are floating very nicely down to earth.
ReplyDeletevery cool betsy and nicely done on the black paper to make it stand out...have a wonderful saturday!
ReplyDeleteI agree with you, I think the same.;) Lovely painting.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend,
xo
I love that you used this for travel, because travel these seeds do! You mentioned your road trip and seeing beautiful flowering trees. We really don't see that as much here in Wisconsin. We must be just a little too north. Another good reason to visit the kids near Chicago!
ReplyDeleteCreativity just oozes out of you!
ReplyDeleteMr. Fox ~ ok...get that great voice of yours going and sing Dendelion to us. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy, you are so clever. What a great idea. Love how you did this too. ..how did you do it in fact? Love it. I love to also imagine that I am one of those seed pods blown and wonder/imagine where it will eventually end up? !
ReplyDeleteMmm ~ it's colored pencils on black construction paper. Well, the wind blows east, you know! ha.
ReplyDeletevery creative and beautiful take on travel, Betsy
ReplyDeleteWell... Maybe I'll send you an original sometime. My ex-fiance just gave me a CD of tracks from 1979...
ReplyDeleteUhhh, that would be ex-fiancée (with two E's), of course!!!
ReplyDeleteMr. Fox ~ seriously? That would be great...I'd be honored! :)
ReplyDeleteHeh. Don't be "honored" unless & until you get to hear one or two of 'em!
ReplyDeleteI've heard from a very good source that you have an awesome voice!
ReplyDeleteMm. Check your email...
ReplyDeleteReally creative! I also have a special place in my heart for dandelions... they say that is the flower of the military brat since the flower is so adaptable and used to moving around. Good inspiration!
ReplyDeleteBetsy, I love this. So creative and a different take on the theme. Great job.
ReplyDeleteQMM
We would always make a wish before blowing all the dandelion seeds away.
ReplyDeletelove dandelions and your drawing and idea is for perfect this week's CT
ReplyDeletethey look like birds to me but I think that's what kind of look like anyhow
A cleaver idea - well executed.
ReplyDeleteVery cute and clever, Betsy...

Lissa ~ they do look a little like birds, don't they! ha.
ReplyDeleteIn the right wind, dandelions travel far.
