A few weeks ago I was telling my sister Willow that they had Willow-brand tissue packs at Aldi's. I mean, you can't be called Willow and not get some for your purse, right? That got me thinking about a lot of my blog friends that come to mind as I push my cart through the grocery. You all can relate to that, can't you? Don't we think about each other even though most of us have never met? It's a fun thing, really.
So indudge me a few moments as I share what I was looking at and who came to my mind....
- birdseed = Steviewren from A Little Birdie Told Me So
- half-n-half = Kathy G from The Second Half of My Life
- the newspaper stand = Alan Burnett from News From Nowhere
- lady fingers = Lady Cat from Lady of Wellington

- Kellogg's Frosted Flakes = Tony from Tony Zimnoch

- The produce scales = Brian from WaystationOne
- Campbell's Soup, not to mention bread, jam and tea = Mmm from Hot Toast and Jam
- Granola cereal = granolachic at So What Can He Eat?
- Coor's Silver Bullet = Mr. Fox from The Lairs of the Silver Fox
- 7-Up = Martha from Lookin' Up
- pastry brushes = Wanda from Brushstrokes from the Heart

If you don't see yourself on my list...no worries....I go to the grocery a lot for my five men....I'm sure lots of fresh blog faces will come to mind this coming week! And if you are here and got associated with t.p. or a bug killer, don't take offense...it's all in fun, right? After all, I didn't name you. hee. LOL!
Lol I'll be thinking the same thing, next time I visit the grocery store :)
ReplyDeleteI never thought of myself as the Brita woman !
I'll be keeping you posted.
SO TRUE! SO TRUE!
ReplyDeleteThe other thing that I love to do is try a new product based on the recommendation of another blogger. It is fun and it gets me to be a bit more adentursome!
That is a cute list. And yes, I do think of my blog friends often as I go through my day. Now I'll be thinking in a whole new way. :)
ReplyDeleteAnd 7-Up will never be quite the same. I'll be thinking of you when I see it.
haha. otin is blue violet seed...oh my! i am glad you chose the scales for me and not weight watchers...lol. very nice betsy. too cool.
ReplyDeleteBrian ~ weight watchers....LOL!! No, that didn't even cross my mind. ha.
ReplyDeletemartha ~ your blog address even had '7' in it! :)
ReplyDeleteYour are so clever. You can get the best stuff from everyday life. Thanks, I enjoyed reading it.
ReplyDeleteToilet Paper! Well, I can't think of anything more necessary. ;o)
ReplyDeleteAngel ~ haha...thanks for being a good sport!
ReplyDeleteFunny... I often choose Coors Light, when I drink at all.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm gonna be nice and not say what kind of things remind me of a blog called "My Five Men," although those "things" certainly don't reflect on the blog's classy author!
ha ha ~ yes all in good fun! Great compilation of names and products
ReplyDeleteThis is great! Now I'll be searching the store for things to go with bloggers too!
ReplyDeleteThat was fun to read! My goodness, that took you a lot of time too, getting all those blog names linked up.
ReplyDeleteKayren ~ I just took them off my blogroll...only took a couple of minutes and it was fun to do! LOL!
ReplyDeleteI've seen the Willow brand tissues at Aldi, but never thought to associate them with Willow the blogger. Thanks for the yummy association! I'm off to check out all the others you mentioned
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful list - with the people you enjoy brought to mind.
ReplyDeleteOh you are just the most amazing and clever gal!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun list, and for those I am familiar with was even better. I'm honored to be added to your list!! BTW I need a new pastry brush.
Tomorrow I'm going to Costco.... I'll be looking for my blog friends on the shelves.
Thanks for the fun!!
Hey! I just got a couple buckets of Gerbera daisies! Pink and Orange :)
ReplyDeleteYou are too funny...how did you come up with all of those...clever woman!
ReplyDeleteIt is so true, I often think and talk about the people I read about in my blog list, even though we never met, I often think of many of you as friends.
ReplyDeleteYou have got to be the most thoughtful person ever to think of your blogging friinds while shopping! Two straight days of rain here on Anna Maria Island - looking for the sun tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCorners ....oh dear..hope that rain goes away! Did you get to eat at the Shack?
ReplyDeleteso cute!
ReplyDeleteand I always think of you when I sew with a McCalls pattern, and think about the Betsy McCall paper dolls.
I'm glad you didn't add me to your list because it's a 50-50 shot I'm going to be in with cat-litter!
ReplyDeletehaha That's pretty funny Betsy!
ReplyDeleteOh, this was fun, Betsy! (I almost typed Besty - should have never told me that, lol!) Maybe now that it's spring there will be some Roses to remind you of me, eh? It is funny how often I think of and talk about my blogging friends. I think we are real friends by this time. When I talk about all of you to others, I usually say "My friend from - " wherever you live. Sure makes me sound cosmopolitan!
ReplyDeleteRosezilla ~ so true! I do the same thing with the name/town...I don't even say "blogfriend"..just "friend" :)
ReplyDeleteVery true! One thing often makes you think of the other! I'm looking forward to trying a few new blogs!
ReplyDeleteFun, fun, fun! Now I'm going to be doing the same thing as I shop the aisles of the local Kroger.
ReplyDeleteSubby ~ sorry, you have to be the sandwich...do you call the 'hero' out there in the east or are they Subs like here?
ReplyDeletePoetikat ~ LOL! I'll catch you next time...how about in the book section. :)
ReplyDeleteWe have a dress designer here called Willow and there's also Willow decor products.
ReplyDeleteI guess I'd be a mix of everything!!
What a fun post! I've been out of pocket and haven't read a blog in several days.....all I could think about was.....wondering what I had missed. I think about my friends everyday even if I don't read or comment!!!
ReplyDeleteVery clever! I love Lady Fingers : )
ReplyDeleteOh so true...I think of my friends often. What a great post!
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea here! :) The Bach
ReplyDeleteI don't think my previous comment went through... thank you for thinking of me... I'm not that subtle when it comes to dark chocolate am I? :)
ReplyDeleteAs several said yes, I think of my blog friends often throughout the day and have related them to some things but never thru the grocery store. Cute!
ReplyDeleteThat was really cool and works so well with everyone. Some of them I never would have thought of. But I do like Kat and the litterbox, that was too funny.
ReplyDeleteAnd I should tell you that mine has to do with hubby working for the telephone company and climbing "up the pole". A telephone pole is not something you would see in a grocery store but you might see it on the way to the store.
For some reason I think of you and Willow when I am thinking I need a recipe. Probably because I love all the recipes you two have posted, and hope you will continue to do so. Maybe I should think of you when I look for spices for some of the recipes. Now when I go to the store and see spices I will think of you.
But it is true how throughout the day I think of my friends here in Bloggyworld. Sometimes I think we know each other better than some of our real life friends. Mostly because we take the time to know each other and read our thoughts. One of the ways that we actually listen to each other.
Thank you to you and to everyone who ever listens to me.
God bless.
BPG ~ no, you aren't, but that's one of the many things I love about you. :)
ReplyDeleteMrs. Upole ~ thank you so much for explaining your blog name. I have always wondered what that was. I thought maybe Upole was your last name! LOL! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, this is so true...I do this all the time...Actually thought of you when looking at the floral dept at Kroger..I kept thinking of that purple shamrock plant you posted and everytime I see a blue hyrdangea, too! LOL!
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ did you not find the purple shamrock? I'm wondering if it was leftover from St. Pat. day.
ReplyDeleteYes,...blue hydrangeas...still can't get mine to turn as blue as yours!!
LOL...I could use those power bars about now! Love ya! :D
ReplyDeleteNope, Betsy, my local Kroger didn't have any but they may have had some earlier in March that I missed.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, try adding coffee grounds to the soil with Mir-Acid or Peter's Perennial Food for Acid-loving plants. It seems that combination helps to deepen the blue...Then again, my soil is pretty acidic to begin with so all of it probably factors in ...
Julie ~ hope you continue to heal and feel better! Yes, a Clif bar would probably help! :)
ReplyDeleteRebecca ~ I've done lots of coffee grounds and only went from light pink to dark mauve. I think I need to try something stronger...like MirAcid. Your's are amazing! :)
ReplyDeleteYeah, easy for you to say not to take offense--you aren't eh one to be associated with TP. LOL. No, no, no,--I get it very funny. Love Brian;s and Brit in TN and of course, mine!
ReplyDeleteYou know, I can't say when I've been int eh grocery store and seen all those newspapers that dear Alan has ever crossed my mind at that time. What is wrong with me?!! LOL.
Oh, hee, saw Silver foxes comment. Too too funny. LOL.
ReplyDeleteMmm ~ Shhh! That Fox doesn't need ANY encouragement! :)
