- Evidence on the snowy back porch that little friends had come to visit.
- Gorgeous snow falling! Taking time to sit with a cup of tea and enjoy the show. It's the sparkly kind that looks like glitter in the sun. Nice!
- Spencer laughing so hard tears were streaming down his face! It was quite contagious, let me tell you! I found myself giggling too, and I didn't even know what was so funny!
- Watching Mr. Bird give Mrs. Bird (my parakeets) some TLC. He sings a sweet little song to her and scratches her head with his beak. Awwww! I think he's in love. :)
- Thinking that triplet boys look adorable in matching plaid flannel pajamas no matter how old they are!
- Excited to work my first auction of the year on Saturday! I'll be sure to take my camera just in case something blog-worthy happens! ha. Single digits, though! Brrrr!
- Loving the serendipity of leaving a comment on a friend's blog while their comment pops up on my blog at the exact same time. That happened three times this week!

These are such happy thoughts...
ReplyDeleteMy schedule today has been taking and picking up grandsons from school as our daughter is trying to pass another kidney stone. So painful...Would you say a prayer for Julie. I took dinner over, meatloaf, red potatoes and snowpeas. Now our little meatloaf is in the oven.
Love those little tracks in the snow!!!!
Aww, the little bird tracks are sweet !
ReplyDeleteI had lots of deer tracks last night under the bird feeders and then across the snow-covered yard, I managed to catch them working their strategy, one deer hits the hanging feeder with it's head, releasing the seed. all the others congregate beneath for the feast.
I knew we didn't have birds feeding at night !
I smiled at the three boys in their pajamas, they are such happy individuals.
Have a great auction .......
Jo
Wanda ~ of course I'll pray for Julie! I hope she's better soon. That dinner sounds like something I'd make! Yum!
ReplyDeleteJo ~ oh wow..now isn't that clever of the deer! :) Team work!

ReplyDeleteLife is good... =)
ReplyDeleteSparkly snow, boys in flannel pjs and contagious laughter...sublime!
ReplyDeleteThanks for putting me in your prayers. I really appreciate that.
Nice to see someone posting happy thoughts, it's been a little dire on the blogs this week. I envy you your snow, going to be 39 on Australia Day next wednesday. Thank god for swimming pools.
ReplyDeleteYour happy thoughts made me smile! Plaid PJ's and a belly laugh has to be the best ever!!
ReplyDeleteHugs and still grinning,
SueAnn
I love to wake up in the morning and see the "traffic patterns" from the night before. Sometimes it looks like O'hare Airport, sometimes, just one little visitor like you had! Thinking of your boys in flannel on this very cold morning!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it fun to catch the laughing bug and not even know what you are laughing about. I like your bird tracks in the snow. Here we have squirrel and bunny tracks.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, thanks for dropping by and leaving a lovely comment earlier this week :)
ReplyDeleteI just read your profile and noticed you live with Autism x 3. Being a SEN teacher I have a lot of respect and empathy for you. Claire x
Cute Post! Love the little bird foot prints in the snow...and the the jammied boys! Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteOh Betsy what a beautiful post. I am the one doing most of the whining instead of looking for cute things. Congratulations on the Ball prize. That will be a doozie. That soup looks great. How wonderful to think of those precious boys in their pjs.

A good belly laugh is great therapy & good for ones soul ... i love it!
ReplyDeleteYour week sounds so beautiful .. wish I were there to share a cup of tea and watch that sparkling snow fall. Sounds delightful! Have a wonderful weekend Betsy, I hope the auction went well!
Oh, I love it when someone cracks up laughing like that and everyone has to join in even if they don't know what's funny. I had a colleague who used to do that and I really miss her fun!
ReplyDeleteQMM ~ looking for the "cute things instead of whining"..lol...well, that is a survival technique of mine! :) And it works!
ReplyDeleteTechnobabe ~ yes, that laughing bug IS contagious...especially with my boys..who can't talk, so sometimes you really wonder what could be so funny!
ReplyDeleteLovely pics and a lovely blog!
ReplyDeleteThe sight of Little birdy tracks in the snow always fills my heart with something intensely moving. Hope, struggle, survival ... transcendence, maybe.
ReplyDeleteIsn't great how the seemingly little things in life are just huge and wonderful, little birdie foot prints in the snow, a cup of tea and a good giggle in pyjamas....love it.
ReplyDeleteWhat lovely moments from your week summed up lovingly.
