I have to laugh at the way The Mister walks through the door each night and says, "Something smells really good!" And without fail I respond with, "That would be me!" But he never gets it! He just lifts the lid on the simmering saucepan to see what's cooking! So, I've been thinking, why do I wear perfume every day (Calvin Klein's Eternity) even when I'm just staying home? Maybe he'd notice if I dabbed a little Alfredo sauce behind my ears? LOL!

I too wear perfume every day! I love my scents!! Ha! And others notice it too! Not my hubby of course...but strangers have stopped me and mentioned that they love the perfume I am wearing. So...guess I do it for them...the everyday person out there! Ha!! If husband does notice...he doesn't say. But he too will comment on the smell of food cooking! Sigh!

ReplyDeleteHave you ever tried pure vanilla extract as a perfume? I knew a girl that wore it as her perfume every day when we were younger.
Smells pretty good. I once read that someone took a survey and vanilla was the favorite scent of men : )
Cat ~ you may be on to something there! I mean, afterall, it's in the food category! haha.

ReplyDeleteAlso, I need a Spenser story soon :) What's he up to?
Aww, Birdie you're so sweet to ask about Spencer. :) The boys have a snow day today. I almost took some video of him singing. Of course you couldn't make out a single word and it was very monotone, but very cute and entertaining anyway! lol. :)

ReplyDeleteOh, I wish you had taken that video! I love the stories about *all* your boys, but Spencer always makes me giggle!
ReplyDeleteKeep perservering with the CK Eternity Betsy, one day the Mister will surprise you! I love it too, it's one of my faves & I wore it on the day I stumbled into wedded bliss with MOTH.
ReplyDeleteMillie x
Millie ~ if you wear it, then I KNOW I have good taste in perfume! xo
ReplyDeleteBetsy, that is sooo funny! I think it's probably the ultimate compliment though that he loves your cooking, at least that's what our grandma's would say. It's so cold here that warm foods sound good all the time, and that soup looks delish!
