The Elmer Fudd Hat

When The Mister and I were in college, we would have
thought wearing an Elmer Fudd hat would have been
so very nerdy! Apparently, they are in style
and ever so cool. Of course, I think Taylor would
look good in just about anything. ;)
Still, I crack up every time he walks in the door
with that thing on! LOL!

  1. He actually looks good in that hat! My sister gave one to my husband some years ago as a joke, but he wears it when he is snow blowing.

  6. You're so right... they are the "in" thing. One of the ladies I sing with in a group in town is wearing a beige colored one at practice the other evening... she is from Canada and she let me know it when I commented she looks Russian... hee hee...

  8. A couple of things I note here. one is that your brown walls are gorgeous and, two, is that I never knew Elmer was so very dashing! thirdly, fess up, I suspect you and Mister were indeed fairly nerdy back then? Yes, that hat would not have gone over too well.

  9. Your son is so very handsome and the hat looks really good on him.;) Yes, it is funny with fashion, what is in one day is out next. And vice versa.

  10. With that hat on he reminds me of my old spaniel. He had big floppy ears too, and we had to tie them back when he was eating his tripe.

  14. Isn't it funny seeing things like that? Same with those beanies that are in style now. We'd have laughed our asses off if anyone wore those in high school. Of course, I think we all *froze* our assess off!!!

    He is adorable!

  17. Tell Taylor that hat will be superfluous on his back-packing trip Down Under Betsy! Just pack board-shorts, flipflops & sunscreen.

  19. Those kinds of hats were popular during World War II when we had to walk 1/2 mile out in the country to go to school. And sometimes the wind would be howling mad and the drifts deep and the ear flaps tied around our chin, kept our ears from freezing up. He is a handsome dude.
