thought wearing an Elmer Fudd hat would have been
so very nerdy! Apparently, they are in style
and ever so cool. Of course, I think Taylor would
look good in just about anything. ;)
Still, I crack up every time he walks in the door
with that thing on! LOL!
He actually looks good in that hat! My sister gave one to my husband some years ago as a joke, but he wears it when he is snow blowing.
ReplyDeleteMari ~ well, they aren't jokes anymore...your hubby will be so IN when he blows snow this winter! :)
ReplyDeleteHe is a handsome boy...only he could make that hat look good :)
ReplyDeleteWarmth outweighs getting laughed at!
ReplyDeleteGreat hat & great picture! He looks like you...lucky guy : )
ReplyDeleteYou're so right... they are the "in" thing. One of the ladies I sing with in a group in town is wearing a beige colored one at practice the other evening... she is from Canada and she let me know it when I commented she looks Russian... hee hee...
ReplyDeleteyes... your Taylor would look good in anything... he is as handsome and his mother is beautiful!
Have a great week! LadyCat and I have all the gift wrapping done... yeah!
The Bach
Lord and Lady ~ why thank you...he does look like me, doesn't he! There is nothing about him like his dad! LOL!
ReplyDeleteYou have all the gift wrapping done? I need to finish the buying!
A couple of things I note here. one is that your brown walls are gorgeous and, two, is that I never knew Elmer was so very dashing! thirdly, fess up, I suspect you and Mister were indeed fairly nerdy back then? Yes, that hat would not have gone over too well.
ReplyDeleteYour son is so very handsome and the hat looks really good on him.;) Yes, it is funny with fashion, what is in one day is out next. And vice versa.
ReplyDeletexo
Looks warm....
ReplyDeleteWith that hat on he reminds me of my old spaniel. He had big floppy ears too, and we had to tie them back when he was eating his tripe.
ReplyDeleteHopefully my comment machine is working again. Don't know what happened yesterday. As a great lover of hats - of whatever kind - I strongly approve. He looks like a fine lad.
ReplyDeleteyou know...i think they are pretty cool...and warm too!
ReplyDeleteI like his hat - and at least you know he won't be cold walking to class.
ReplyDeletehe does look like you, one of my sons looks like me and I think it is really sweet.
Brian ~ I can see you in one! :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it funny seeing things like that? Same with those beanies that are in style now. We'd have laughed our asses off if anyone wore those in high school. Of course, I think we all *froze* our assess off!!!
ReplyDeleteHe is adorable!
I think you are right about them being in style. If you're anything as cold as we are though, it will feel good too!
ReplyDeleteI guess I should wear my Zhivago hat with the flaps DOWN to be ever-so-cool! :D
ReplyDeleteTell Taylor that hat will be superfluous on his back-packing trip Down Under Betsy! Just pack board-shorts, flipflops & sunscreen.
ReplyDeleteMillie ^_^
P.S. Bachelor has sent me into a right spin whith his comment. I have yet to buy my first gift!
Hi Betsy, your son gets his good looks from his mum.
ReplyDeleteThose kinds of hats were popular during World War II when we had to walk 1/2 mile out in the country to go to school. And sometimes the wind would be howling mad and the drifts deep and the ear flaps tied around our chin, kept our ears from freezing up. He is a handsome dude.
ReplyDeleteRxBambi ~ you're right! But back in school, appearance was certainly more important than comfort! ha!
ReplyDeleteWillow ~ your Zhivago hat has flaps?
ReplyDeleteOtin ~ you work outside...you NEED one! :) It would make a great avatar! hee!
ReplyDeleteHe looks so good in that hat! He could actually model it in a magazine!
ReplyDeleteAnd this is why it becomes impossible to buy clothes for your grown up children! haha
ReplyDeleteOh, aren't these the funniest things? And, I have started to see them around here on a lot of different men and as Bach pointed out, a few women...
ReplyDeleteYour son is very handsome, btw, so that helps.LOL!!
I like it. I needed a hat like that when we lived in Ohio!
ReplyDeleteha ha You're right cuz in Calif it is still nerdy! Although he does have the Doctor Zhivago thing going on! ha ha
