Virtual Travels to Aspen

In case you hadn't heard yet, tomorrow is Mr. Toast's
First Annual Christmas Tea....a virtual tea party held
at his blog, Hot Toast and Jam! Every one is invited...
just go to his blog and sign up! It's sure to be a
fun filled cyber party! I'm taking this gorgeous
train to Aspen and touring the Rocky Mountains
before arriving tonight to have dinner with some of
other guests arriving early.
I thought this cute sweater dress would be
warm and comfy to wear while on the train! Isn't Aspen a gorgeous site at Christmastime?
In reality, I'm busy putting together gift baskets with my
little home business. I'm bringing a few on the train with me
for all the guests...filled with teas, gingerbread men and
other yummy delicacies. So....see you tomorrow in Aspen....
come on over to Mr. Toast's blog and join the fun!

  10. Is there room at the party for an old grumpy git like me?

I think I shall go as your escort, if thats OK?

I think "Mountain Standard Time" is -7 hours GMT, so I'll be there at 23:00hrs England time (Hope that's right, I would hate to be late or too early!)

  11. What a fun post!! I too do gift baskets for the folks at my husbands job at the hospital. They put in long hard hours during these six weeks and they deserve to be thought of. What a wonderful way to recognize someone with your baskets.

    Love the sweater!!

  17. Betsy, this is absolutely brilliant! I love it, and the outfit, adorable.

Wow, I can't wait for one of your gifts. How lovely they look. I'll have to save those goodies for my new year's eve celebrations perhaps.

Well, I best be off to catch the end of that dinner with you, Rebecca, Skip and Gretchen, Bach and the Lady, Willow, and whoever else cares to join the fun. I am running a tad bit late though as the gooseberry keeps boiling over! Well, maybe a night cap then, at least!

  18. Mr. Toast ~ better keep an eye on that gooseberry! Maybe turn the flame down a bit. I'll look forward to having a taste of that for sure!

  24. Betsy, I missed the most marvelous dinner conversation from what I can gather. How funny. The flash cards for Gretchen had me cracking up. Well, you can read about my ordeal over on Rebecca's blog. I tell you what I would have made Don Knotts proud! LOL!!

  25. Betsy,
We can always count on your creative skills to come up with those gorgeous baskets. And your attire is marvelous daaaling. Fits you like a "Tea"....
The snow is beautiful in Aspen at Christmas time. Mr. Toast is way too busy... he missed the dinner party...well, I must say we are all drumming up for the big day tomorrow. Isn't that Gretchen and Skip a scream?! See you there!

  26. Hoo-Hah! I mean, nice outfit.

So sorry that the perky Tara King and I won't be able to attend Mr. Toast's Tea. The Skipster and the lovely Gretchen will nevertheless be suitable emissaries from Simpson/Lynch Studios.

  27. Skip ~ dinner was wonderful...sorry I was a tad late...my horse and carriage didn't travel as fast as your jet! ha!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Mr. Fox ~ why thank you....so sorry you won't be able to attend! Sounds like you and Mr. Skip have patched things up....or not? Is that why you are avoiding Aspen? ha!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Am I avoiding Skip? Oh, no, nothing like that. I just have a lot to do today in the real world, and must make do with reading other blogs and their attendant comments.

  30. Hi Betsy . . .nice post and I love the sweater dress! You're very clever putting together Christmas bundles. I haven't bought a thing yet and have resolved to shop till I drop on Saturday. Get ready for an angry post on Saturday night! I wish I had time for lovely crafty gifts.
