Some New Cufflinks

One of The Mister's friend works in Hong Kong. He was
recently back in The States and brought him a gift...
little handcrafted abacus cufflinks.
Aren't they unusal? They even work! I told The Mister
that he didn't need to get out his calculator anymore!

  1. I remember actually having to learn to use those things in 2nd or 3rd grade! (abacus)

  2. Betsy, how totally cool that they work. Those are so unique!

I'm still laughing from coming by earlier today...four boys home for fall break...how peaceful the house is NOT...enjoying 'sleeping in'...how exactly did that last one happen? Seriously, they sleep in for you? I'm soooo not a morning person gifted with major morning children, until the girls became teenagers anyway.

  4. Kayren ~ well, you are very observant! haha...actually it was only me that slept in! I woke up just before 10:00 and found Jeff and Taylor gone to work. The other three boys were amusing themselves with dvd's and youtube. The volumes were so loud I can't believe I had slept through that noise! The only damage done was that Alex had eaten the second half of a meatloaf left over from dinner. And being the neat freak that he is, he had put the empty container back in the fridge. ha! At least everyone was still in the house and nothing was broken.

  7. I love those cufflinks. I wonder if they will ever bring back trousers with cuffs.

The crows across the street are flocking together getting ready for their migration, so because of that, all their "kids" are grown up, so to speak, and will head south with their moms and pops.

  8. Those are great! I love French cuffs with cufflinks.

Alex, hope you enjoyed the meatloaf. If I'd been there you would've had to fight me for it! Betsy, hope you enjoyed your sleep!

  12. Abe ~ The Mister always has his pants cuffed. I don't know if it's in style or not but there is no changing him. :)

  14. I love French cuffs with cufflinks as well. Wish I could get my husband to wear them. We had our fall break last week. I did enjoy sleeping in for a week and not having to help with homework!

  16. Great picture and the cuff links will be something to pass down.
If I wore those cuff links, I couldn't get anything done because I'd be playing with them.
