  1. You had to think for this one. Nice job! I'm with you - bare feet are the best. Yours look better than mine at the moment though!

  2. you have the cutest feet!! i remember earth shoes! i wore mine long after they went out of style and the treads got quite worn down. i was sad when i couldn't buy a new pair.

  3. Betsy, your feet look great! Your pedicure looks marvelous. I think folks might get a kick out of my feet. Several broken toes that healed crooked. Lots of lumps and bumps. Thank the Lord though, they are still getting me around. I loved thinking about all the shoes. Very very clever.

  4. Thanks for saying my feet look nice! LOL The best part of this pedicure is that it's done by me! Sally Hanson's French Tip Pen...works like a dream!

  5. What an adorable post .... your feet are beautiful (hope it's ok to tell you that!) I have had both feet repaired for horrific bunions and one with a Morton's neuroma....mine are definitely not pretty. And I can't wear most shoes. It's thong sandals in the summer and flat sensible boots in the winter.

  6. Yeah, yeah I tried that pen last year/ha,ha mine looked like a two year old did them!!!!! You are good, Betsy....
    Good Post!

  8. Me too Betsy! Going barefoot has been my favorite since I was ...well since as long as I can remember. Wearing sandals is my next favorite footwear. Hot socks make me crazy.

    Nice french manicure!

  9. Me, too, in the summer in the house. In the winter though I have to have socks (sometimes a second pair on top) to keep my feet warm!

  11. There's hundreds of shoes in my house and half of them are fit only to be thrown out. A sort-out is called for!

  14. I didn't know you could get a French pedicure!
I steer clear of stilettos - prefer the runners or crocs, but I'm sure one day I'll be in Orthopedics.

    Fun post!

  17. HI Betsy, why is it that Espadrilles always sound so exotic and romantic. To be honest I am not even sure what they look like but they sound just the kind of thing that a glamorous woman would wear.

  18. @Alan: Maybe somewhere in the back of your mind, the word "espadrilles" reminds you of "escadille," as in Lafayette Escadrille? WWI fighter pilots have a sense of the "exotic and romantic" attached to them, too. At least, that simple word association works in my case! ;-)

  19. Oops. That first word should have been "escadrille," obviously.

  20. My feet looked good (not as good as yours) until I started running more miles. Oh well. Espadrilles! Do they still make them? I remember wanting a pair as a teen ager.

  21. Alan and SF ~ espradrilles are sexy with those ties laced up the legs!

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes, that is a sexy look...

I'm going to behave and shut up now.

  23. SF~ ok, I tweaked the words a little. Does that make you feel a bit more comfortable? ;)

  24. Nothing better than a "barefoot" summer to be sure! Strider

  25. What ever happened to bare feet? I saw an old woman in Japan who wore no shoes. Her soles were her own and weathered they were and thick like new with cracks and splits and marks. She smiled at me with a big, wide grin and I smiled back. Her kimono was thick against the Pacific morning chill blowing in from the ocean. I rubbed my eyes and looked for a roof but saw none. I looked at her standing on a rock and the sound I fashioned into rain on a flat roof was her peeing on the flat rock. She finished; and I thought she winked, and walked away. How could I explain this to anybody. The evidence is drying up. The stain is disappearing and then it is gone.

  33. Many nice shoe words there. And very brave to post pics of your bare toes and feet. And a very cute pair of toes to go with those feet.

I too agree about going barefoot, I love doing it in the rain, well if we have any more rain. This drought is not good for doing that. Sigh.

    God bless.
