beautiful hand made tiles in a quaint little shop. You know how
expensive hand made Mexican tiles are here in the US! Well,
these were only $1 each, so I brought a few home with me!
of cork that I cut slightly smaller than the tiles and attached to
the backsides with my hot glue gun.
Betsy, quite clever! I think that's a great idea and don't you love things that remind you of a great trip. I try to always buy rings. Just little inexpensive ones so I can wear them and be reminded of my fun when I was in that locale. A neat idea with the cork for tiles we can purchase at Home Depot. Cool.
ReplyDeleteWell, I don't have any pretty tiles like you, but I think I might have to see if I can google some daisy tiles! I have to be careful with my hot coffee cup on my counter (I think I'm just overly scared since they warned me) and that would be so stinkin' cute! Love what you did!!!
ReplyDeleteThey certainly aren't $1, but go look at what I found:

These are so pretty, Betsy - what a creative idea. I agree, I am amazed how expensive they can be. What a great memory to have.

ReplyDeleteHi Betsy
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting. I am a bit late doing the thursday theme rounds- I enjoyed your acrostic poem- and I would probably prefer barefoot if I had feet as neat as yours!
Lovely tiles- you are very creative. So important to find an outlet for creativity especially in a busy life.
That's a great idea, Betsy! Well done, they look lovely! Can you please come over for a minute and read my post 'Magnificent Sevens'? I've got a tag to pass on to you..
ReplyDeleteVery cute idea, and I have walked past many boxes of those types of tiles many times and never bought any because I thought I could never use them for anything. Now I could happily buy some if I go down there again.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing this.
God bless.
What a great idea. I would sit and dream of all the fun while sipping coffee!!!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea, I love them.
ReplyDeleteI had some tiles like these! Only I paid a little more than that for them in the US:) I actually made coaster with them, too, except I just used the green felt dots. I like your cork idea better!
