Just What I've Been Talking About...

I have a pet peeve about how our words can be encouraging or very hurtful. Old Lady Lincoln has a wonderful, short post on this topic today. It's great! Click here to take a look. I especially love the phrase Anyone can speak words that tend to rob another of the spirit to continue in difficult times. Special is the individual who will take the time to encourage another.

  2. That is so true! I feel blessed by all of the encouragement I get from the bloggie buddies - there's no need or any reason to do anything else. Often we are teetering on the edge of self doubt and all it takes is a little push in either direction to make a difference. So let me just say - I love your blog! You go girl!

  3. Museswings ~ I love your statement..."Often we are teetering on the edge of self doubt and all it takes is a little push in either direction to make a difference." So, so true! And when you encourage someone else, you receive a blessing yourself!

  4. Yes, encouragement is like food and drink sometimes. Very nourishing. The problem with blogs is the comments section - it's so easy to try to condense a comment and it comes out snarky when you didn't mean it that way at all!

  5. I just put your blog down as receiving an award that I just received, please go to my blog and pick it up. Then you will have to list seven blogs you especially like and link to them. If you have the time, if not don't worry about it.

  6. I went over this morning and checked her out. I loved the frog story and am sharing it with my kiddos. I enjoyed reading through several of her blog posts actually...she is a funny lady. Those ten commandments were a hoot, but oh, so truly simple.
