Willow and some others have done this meme
and I thought I'd have some fun with it, too!
My uncle once: well, more than once, has sent our family a huge goodie box for Christmas.
It seemed to be the highlight of the season to see that box coming from Florida, where he lives.
He has one of the biggest hearts of anyone I know and I'll never forget his encouragement.
Never in my life: have I drank a beer...I'll take a glass of wine or
something harder, but I just can't stand a beer!
When I was five: Our family moved. I was in kindergarten
and cried in my new class every day for weeks.
High school was: fun and filled with great memories!
I will never forget: the day we were told our second child would
actually be triplets!
Once I met: George W. Bush in 2004 while he was campaigning
(see me in picture above...in the front row just to the right of him?)
Once at a bar: my friend was especially enjoying a free, very
weak drink and asked the server what it was called. He, being a foreigner,
in very over-enunciated English, said "Fruit Juice". tee-hee!
By noon, I’m usually: knee deep in laundry and enjoying the kid-free house.
Last night: I rode 6 miles on my stationary bike
If I only had: super powers like Bewitched!
Next time I go to church: will be Sunday. I leave every week being challenged,
refreshed and stretched in new ways. I love it.
What worries me most: what will happen to my autistic triplets when I die.
What I miss most about the 80’s is: youth
A better name for me would be: Whipper Snapper
If I ever go back to school: not going to happen...one degree is enough for me!
You know I like you if: I initiate contact with you
Take my advice, never: answer the phone right after you pour milk on your cereal!
My ideal breakfast is: french toast, eggs, bacon and fruit
Why won’t people: just be nice?
The world could do without: people who are hateful and insensitive
I’d rather lick the belly of a cockroach than: eat worms
My favorite blond is: The Mister (whose hair has darkened with age but was very blond
in high school and college when I fell in love with him)
If I do anything well, it’s: living under stress
And, by the way: I don't tolerate 2-faced people very well
If you have some of your own responses, feel free to run with the idea!
Very cool post! I love that pic with George W. This is really a different meme. I love your new banner. It is really cute. I pray you are doing good. Hugs, Trish
ReplyDeleteWell, I learned a lot about you tonight! Fun! Six miles, huh? Good for you!
ReplyDeleteSometime I'd love to hear the story of when you found out you were carrying triplets... and how you felt! Multiple births fascinate me.
Haha! Whipper Snapper is right!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post, but nothing but nothing would make me lick the belly of a cockroach for any reason whatsoever...I'll take the worm, lol!
ReplyDeleteYou WhipperSnapper lol...I agree, it costs nothing to be nice and a smile will cause a chain reaction if we'll only put it on along with our clothes every single morning.
Great post
Sandi
MG ~ well, it was a day of jaw dropping amazement! tee-hee! I'll have to post the story sometime. :) Autism overshadows some of those fun times about having multiples. It's good to remember the happy, too. :)
ReplyDeleteSandi ~ I love your idea of putting on a smile with our clothes every single morning! You are right....it costs nothing to be nice! Wonderful thoughts!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed reading this, Betsy. I found out some fun stuff. I might try doing it soon. I have to agree with Sandi on the cockroach. That question just about made me gag.
ReplyDeleteOn a completely unrelated note, I saw you put the apple picture I love so much on your sidebar. Did you take that particular photo yourself?
OK...what's wrong with you guys! You'd rather eat worms that lick a cockroach? ICK! Would you chew them or let them wiggle all the way down? oh yuck... Where's that cockroach....
ReplyDeleteKayren ~ I put that picture up again just for you! ;) It's actually a painting and I got the image off of google.
ReplyDeleteNice knowing you a little better.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, have you never lived in the South? Because I'm thinking that if you'd been around a two-inch long or so tree roach that can not only crawl but fly, you might not feel the same way.
ReplyDeleteAnd when you find one in your tennis shoe with your bare foot, that's even worse.
I've got the heebie-jeebies now. I might not sleep so well tonight.
Kayren ~ oh no, don't get me wrong..I think roaches are so creepy! But if I had to choose, I wouldn't eat a worm over one lick of it's belly!
ReplyDeleteyou are multi faceted Betsy ~nice to learn so much about you ...I am taking your advice and going to eat my cereal :) :)
ReplyDeleteELK ~ ok...make sure you let the machine pick up the phone!
ReplyDeleteFun post! I enjoyed learning more about you. "Nobody loves me, everybody hates me, guess I'll go eat worms..." Not you, though, eh?
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your meme, it's fun learning new things about someone.
ReplyDeleteNice to learn a whole bunch of intersting new things about you. I may do this meme but I must leave out the cockroach question! ha ha
