  1. It made sense to have black this time since you had orange the last, with Halloween coming up at the end of the week. The postage stamp reminds me of my grandpa's stamp collection. I'm really wondering about those black tulips though. Are they seriously real?

I know I've told you before, but I always look forward to your color posts.

  2. I love black and white decorated rooms with a tiny splash of color. I've wanted to paint a room charcoal gray for years.

  7. Your color posts are always fun! I love the very seasonal black cat right in the middle. The black stamp is beautiful! I use old stamps as envelope seals and other letter and card decorations.

  8. Black is the absence of light and these photos tend to bring out the other colors.

I am doing something different on my Gordon, Ohio blog. I set out to photograph and describe every house in the village where I was born.

  9. Dazzling selection, but Betsy, where's the classic "little black dress"? Most elegant, especially when worn by the likes of, say, Audrey Hepburn.

  11. I confess that the black tulips really caught my eye too. Very stunning. I'm assuming they are real based on the other flowers around them.

  18. Betsy, this post is so beautiful! I love black and I especially love the little vintage evening bag - I collect those. And for those who doubt the tulip colour... they are real. We used to have them in our garden at home and they are gorgeous.
