Well, here's new pic of Me and my 5 men!
It's -15 degrees this morning!
And with the wind chill, it's -34!!!
School has been cancelled.
A good day to putter in our jamies and
drink lots of hot coffee.
****
Brrrrrr....going to sit by the fire!
****
ooops...just saw that this pic has a baby in there...
no...don't even ask....ha-ha!
Stay warm!
****Update....as of 11:00 PM, we are pronouced the
coldest spot in the nation...even colder than Alaska with
our -18 degrees! Amazing...and yes, freezing!
I just CANNOT believe how cold it is! CRAZY!
ReplyDeleteI know just how you feel...except that it's 8 with a windchill of 0. We haven't seen cold weather like this in a long time! I don't know what we'd do if it got below 0...I'm sure we wouldn't go anywhere!! At least you have pretty snow. I'm still hoping we get some this year.
ReplyDeleteHahaha - I saw the baby in the picture, but figured you were just babysitting for a friend. Put on some extra coffee - I'm sending folks over to see your unique winter wear - tuxedos
ReplyDeletelol! That penguin baby is pretty cute:)
ReplyDeleteIt's very cold here, too, like 18F this morning (and it was 20F when I got up???). I just wish we had some snow to make it fun!
At 16 degrees I thought it was cold here. The professor told the boys this morning, "It feels like Ohio out there." They are fascinated with Ohio because you guys get snow.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy being warm and comfy at home... I was zipping through the carpool line at 7:35!
Hey you Alabama girls....the teens IS freezing for you! Yes, I will admit that it is the snow here that makes it fun.
ReplyDeleteHa, what a cute baby, did not even see it at first, as I was busy counting the penguins.;)
ReplyDeleteHope you can stay warm by the fire; it seems to be cooling down here too.;))
You can send you Penquins over here. I ran out of propane in the night and it was Zero F here this morning. I am going to my neighors house after I write on your blog.
ReplyDeleteI am just to old for this kind of weather. Stay warm.
Hugs ~~~~BRRRR !
you need a girl baby...peguin! ;))
ReplyDeleteELK ~ uh...no thanks...5 men is all I can handle! tee-hee!
ReplyDeleteNice duds you all have on. I know this is nothing compared to your Yankee weather, but it was 15 degrees this morning when I left for work. It was 32 when I went out at lunch. That is cold for here. Stay toasty by that fire!
ReplyDeleteI love that you are all dressed for success in your tuxedos!
ReplyDeleteLooks cold too.
ReplyDeleteYes, Betsy - gotta love this "global warming" :) We were at -19 at 8 a.m. yesterday. I actually went out to the library and within seconds, you could feel the little hairs in your nose freeze - brrr!!! I hope you're all staying cozy and warm.
ReplyDeleteSusan
holy cow that is cold. my kids are hoping for snow days - just cold and FOG here :(
ReplyDeleteVisiting by way of Sweet Repose -- love the picture -- stay warm!
ReplyDeleteHave you ever seen the video someone put together to make it look like one penguin slaps the other on the back of the head and he falls through the ice? It is funny. By the way, I left an award for you at my blog. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteVery cold indeed!
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through Old Lady Lincoln and now I'm glad I live in Missouri....it's not quite as cold here. *smiles*
ReplyDeleteHave you all seen March of the penguins? It is such a good movie,,makes you really respect them.
ReplyDeleteGlad we just had a couple of days of the really cold, back to 50 now,,,stay warm Betsy.
Very nice blog. Here in Canada, it was on Saturday - 30 C.
ReplyDeleteBetsy, its been mind-numbingly cold here too, brrrrr. I can almost feel the warmth arising from that steaming cup on your sidebar...mmmmm!
ReplyDeleteI've taken to pouring myself a hot chocolate in a disposable cup just before I leave work. It lasts me about 15 minutes on my commute home and really helps to warm me up.
