Two Steps Forward, One Step Back

And so goes my quest to clear out all
the clutter and have "A place for everything
and everything in it's place."

I just had to laugh when I went to the closet to
get a new light bulb and found this.
Really?  The Mister and I clearly are diametrically
opposed when it comes to my New Year's Resolution!

  8. Hahaha...it kind of works the same way here at our house. Love it that you laughed when you went to the closet and found the light bulb package. I have the same reaction. ;)

  9. I like that heating bulb. It looks like those we used to get to add some heat to the aquarium with fish in it. Not sure if it is the same but reminded me of them.

  10. We are having a major throw out from our storage unit, most of the boxes have my stuff in and it's a real struggle to decide what to keep and what to throw. I have given as much as I can to friends: books, ornaments, baskets, vases and cushions. But there are only so many things they will take. Especially as some of them live in little rented flats.
I have worked hard to throw out as much as possible (without too much fretting and agony about memories) and today the Chef went to the dump again. 6 boxes of stuff, 2 mirrors, a painting Ihave always disliked and a bunch of pictures have gone forever. But the light bulbs are still here! Dozens of them. How did he forget?
The batteries are still here too. Sigh...

    1. Sounds like you are doing some major clearing out. I always think that feels so good! It's a process that continually has to be repeated here, as you can see. Haha

    2. Yes. Unfortunately I come from a family of squirrels. I have 4 generations of stuff I don't have room for. And today I got a lot of photograph albums and scrapbooks out of storage. Can't get rid of those memories!

  12. "Edison style?" I kinda like the package, but if the bulb was no good I certainly wouldn't have saved it.

    1. Yes, love the old look to these bulbs! Love the burnt out ones in the trash even better. Lol

  13. was it used and just not the right bulb so it still works? those are expensive. I am trying to
figure out why anyone would save a dead bulb. Dh has a lot of electronic stuff around. He takes it over to the e-waste folks but then forgets what is gone and what isn't. Now I take a picture of the box full of stuff before he gets rid of it so we don't spend a lot of time hunting for stuff he is sure he still has. Really frustrating but at least I have him getting rid of stuff. Have a great weekend. I get to see my grandson! I am so excited.
