Blue Green

The first pedicure and anklet of the season!
I made the anklet...square cut blue stones and sterling silver.
I thought it matched the polish, so my feet are
now totally coordinated. haha.
But my feet have been cold all day and wanting my
socks and slippers! haha.  Warm up, spring!

I seem to be drawn to this color lately!
It matches my vintage glassware, vintage pottery,
the patina of old copper and well, it reminds me of the sea.

The brand is Sinful Colors and the color is Mint Apple.
I would have called it Mermaid.

  1. Color coordinated to perfection! Love your ankle bracelet! Well done. Betsy, it's been much warmer here and I STILL haven't slowed myself for the first pedicure of the season! I'm BEHIND. I'm going to be thinking about that color when I do go. ;) Hope you have nice warm flip flop days coming your way! blessings ~ tanna

    1. Well, I did mine myself...love to go have a professional one but just sat on the kitchen counter with my feet in the kitchen sink. hahaha...Wasn't quite as fun but it was free!

  2. I love your anklet...very pretty. Isn't just so rewarding to make something like that and the satisfaction when you wear of knowing "I made this!" ....you know, in a quiet kind of way. ;) I have ugly feet and so I don't normally do polish in the summer but I may try it...you know, just for fun. :) Have a great evening, Betsy.

    1. Making jewelry is really my most favorite thing. I have a drawer full of bits and pieces just waiting to be made into creations in my studio. I really need to get back into that...when I look in that drawer I get the itch to sit and create. Maybe I should do that on rainy days and forget the spring cleaning. haha.

    1. It's a little chilly! haha. But I stepped outside this afternoon and it was warmer outside than in the house. Hopefully the warmer weather is getting close! I wore boots and a coat last week, so I feel your pain. haha.

  9. Wonderful color!!!
I made the first pedicure last month, when weather seems to be warm enough, but I was wrong.
    Here it's still cold.
My nails are red; it might seem old-fashioned but I do love it!

  10. Can't wait until I can bend again and do my tootsies. I can't stand people touching my feet so I don't go to a professional.
    Love the anklet! Very pretty.

  12. I kove it! Green has always been one of my favorite colours. I also have green eyes :-) here is something about green for you :-)
Green is the color of balance,
    harmony and growth
The color green relates to balance and harmony. From a color psychology perspective, it is the great balancer of the heart and the emotions, creating equilibrium between the head and the heart.

From a meaning of colors perspective, green is also the color of growth, the color of spring, of renewal and rebirth. It renews and restores depleted energy. It is the sanctuary away from the stresses of modern living, restoring us back to a sense of well being. This is why there is so much of this relaxing color on the earth, and why we need to keep it that way.

Green is an emotionally positive color, giving us the ability to love and nurture ourselves and others unconditionally. A natural peacemaker, it must avoid the tendency to become a martyr.

    1. Wow...that is all very interesting! No wonder I'm drawn to it! I've always said God must have loved green and blue since he made the earth, sky and water those beautiful colors!

  13. ps: and did the number of doors increased since yesterday? :-)

    1. Yes! haha...only you would notice that! I forgot the pantry door in the kitchen!
And I need to get started on those....they are all still waiting, dusty and sorry looking!

    2. Yes I noticed because the number somehow shocked me :-) and I started to count the number of the doors here and I was wondering if the French window door counts and I suddenly felt the pressure of going and cleaning all of our dirty doors and I was thinking 'when on Earth I will have the time or the energy to do all of that?" and would not it be better to wait till Autumn cleaning? haha .... and I never used to procrastinate.... dear dear maybe because I am turning 44 tomorrow ... :-)

    3. Well, maybe we have an abundance of doors. haha. That counts all the closet doors, too, and there are two sliding doors on every closet (coat closet, linen, bedroom closets, utility closet) They are six panel doors, too, which just give the dust more places to settle. haha. But soon they will be clean.
