Beautiful, Betsy ~ I always look forward to seeing it every year. Mine is blooming too, Mr President . . . . perhaps I should rename it Prsident Trump . . . :)
That trellis is taller than me....I think it loves where it's planted because I don't have to do anything to it until mid summer, then it needs a little water if it's dry. You could grow one on your balcony and let it drape down. It would be like Jack's bean stalk! haha.
So so beautiful, Betsy. I have tried a couple of times to grow them, but not had much luck...but haven't tried since we've been in this house. Maybe I should give it another go and see what happens. Your trellis is really pretty also...love the top of it, especially. :)
Hi Betsy - I saw a few yesterday as I travelled on the train ... we are desperate for a supply of rain, thought had a sprinkling yesterday ... love the colours at the moment - the early Spring ... beautiful mauve - cheers Hilary
I tried to grow one...years ago...and it died. I need to try again. I love the look of them. Yours is lovely.
ReplyDeleteYes, do try again! They like to be moist and have some shade!
DeletePretty good for a cell phone photo!
ReplyDeleteYeah, not too bad....just tall and skinny!
Deletethe picture...not me. hahahahaha...

DeleteDo you know the variety name of your's? :)
DeleteNo, I don't know! I should have kept the tag that came on it but I didn't.
DeleteIt's very nice anyway. Like it's owner. . .:)

DeleteSo beautiful, and the container is perfect for it. Love that color.

ReplyDeleteI think you should try again! This one was under $5 at Lowes a few years ago. It likes water and shade, so maybe you can find a good spot for it!
DeleteI look forward to your purple glory post each year. Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIt has a few less blooms this year but is still beautiful!
DeleteI'm jealous! Ours is no where near that. It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteMaybe it just needs a few more weeks!
